Replaced an old Linksys wmp54g where I couldn't locate a stable W7 64 driver. The tp-link is completely Windows 7 64bit compatible. Install went smooth. I'm about 40 feet from my router, 2 walls in involving the router and adapter. W7 shows "excellent" signal strength. W7 reports 62mbps connection speed. Speedtest.net measures my comcast 20m connection at 23mbps on a laptop appropriate subsequent to the router. Nonetheless, On my desktop (where the TP-Link adapter is installed) Speedtest.net shows only 3 mbps down and 3mbps up. Not certain why I'm not getting full speed.

Cost. Connectivity. Operates as advertised. Great range and i reside in a older farm residence that has concrete,wire mesh, cast iron pipes and sheetrocked walls. Its reaching a third floor wireless router with 5 bars and hasnt dropped the signal but. I live at a incredibly busy intersection so im positive im finding all types of frequency crossover etc... and it still doesnt have an effect on it. I seriously cant ask for more than that. Easy setup, functions with XP, Vista, and W7. None I have a mini ATX tower that is used just to Skype with my brother in the Marine Corps. Rapidly set up (requires restart to function adequately although) Slower than my laptop's wi-fi Previously, I had a wired connection on my desktop, which was just as quick as my laptop's wi-fi. Due to the fact I moved out, I required wi-fi on my desktop, so I purchased this. Needless to say, I'm disappointed at how slow this is.
