Functions as it is supposed to. I got this for when I have a buyer bring a tower to me, so it performs solo. I hooked up a laptop with mouse and video only, works. I don't see any explanation to consider they won't work when I have a tower I can plug them all into at once. As long as this stands the test of time, it's a very good buy for me! Got mine at Shady-o Rack on sale for ฟ Demands some holes in the bottom so I could mount it to the side of the desk if I wanted. Audio sharing would be good. To the folks who claim to have high tech understanding, and are complaining about cable length... Attempt placing the cables on the right path! The D-sub connector with the PS2 cables hanging from it goes to the Computer, not the hub! The solo finish goes to the hub. If your monitor plug is additional than 18" away from the PS2 ports, that's 1 massive Computer!

Excellent heavy duty cables. When it performs, the display is quite very good. It's picky about which MB it connects up to. Some computer systems will connect & switch with no troubles, other computers it will not recognize at all. Even with restarts on both computers and fiddeling around- no luck. My personnal failure rate was about 30%, but numerous of the systems I perform on are ɰyo, for family members members. I thought this was just anything to deal with as far as KVM switches have been concerned. Then on a whim I thought I would get the IOGEAR GCS62 from BB (figured I could take it back if it have been no far better. This is 100X much better- if I would have recognized I would have purchased it from newegg and saved some$$. This factor connects up to something I throw at it. It even worked with a Dell that had no ps2 ports working with one of those Y adapters usb to two x ps2 ports. I was amazed

Little, functions. I personal two. Appears quite rugged after becoming pulled off the desk onto the tile floor by it's cables... a number of times. Developed by monkeys. Creates a huge octopus of cable on your desk, and it ends up toward the back mainly because of the stupid cable coming out of each side. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! I shouldn't have to stand up and attain more than the top rated of my monitor just to push a button. Do the persons who design and style these items essentially ever attempt to use them? PLEASE place the controls on the front or leading, bring ALL the cables and connectors out the BACK, so that the customers can position the factor where it can be reached.

Can't assume of any very good points to say about this KVM.I have had a IOGEAR GCS612A & a Zonet KVM3004 for years. The IOGear locked up about after or twice a year. The Zonet has been on our servers for 2+ years with totally no flaws at all. Ordered 2, one particular gave me trouble right out of the box, never did recognize my my mouse and only recognized the keyboard 1ǘ the time. Rebooted both PCs various instances, swapped out keyboards and mice and even attempted a various pair of PCs, by no means did perform. The 2nd one particular worked on co-worker's PCs for a handful of hours and locked up the keyboard & mouse when, rebooted both PCs and worked once again. Within 2 days 2nd KVM was locking up five-ten times a day. Did an RMA on the 1st a single the day it arrived, replacement was useless also. We're personal computer geeks, so I really feel if we couldn't get it to operate, it's quite considerably dead. The only bright spot in the complete knowledge was the RMA staff at Newegg. We told Steve what the challenge was, what we had carried out to get it to work. Steve was glad to send a replacement for the very first a single. After the 2nd a single and the replacement for the 1st one particular each turned out to be junk Steve gladly issued a full refund. I've only ordered from Newegg twice, but they are definitely number one particular in my book. I know that if I have a challenge with an order, they'll do what it takes to make it correct.

I've been working with this KVM at my residence for far more than a year. It has not shown any troubles in this harsh environment. Harsh environment you ask? We have two cats that are inside and outdoors cats. As such, these mousers consume all types of points and have a nasty tendency to throw-up what they can not digest onto this poor KVM. They also like to lay on it. Their fur is complete of all sorts of junk when they come in from outdoors and as such, a lot of it is shed into this KVM. Move the KVM you say, I have, the cats seek it out to barf, shed, yack up and clean themselves on best of it.The KVM nevertheless operates wonderfully. None We also use TRENDnet 4port KVMs at our shop. We abuse these too. In the 5 years we've been in the repair organization, only 1 KVM has failed. Trendnet make excellent products.NEWEGG is Great

Good small package. Fantastic buy. Picked up at Rat Shack for dirt low cost. Mouse doesn't operate with Dell Lattitude docking station as listed in overview below. Computer is fine. Utilizing Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. Im not employing it to switch my LCD monitor as my Samsung LCD has 2 inputs DVI and VGA. Keyboard seems to function okay but not completely tested. Mouse is totally unresponsive. Attempted connection of logitech receiver appropriate to docking station and each keyboard and mouse worked so undoubtedly the Trendnet causing the problem. Looks like i want to use seperate USB mouse to docking station for laptop and can only share keyboard. Trendnet really should be more specific on what hardware this device does and doesnt function with.

Only expenses $xx. When it operates it functions as expected. Mouse and keyboard seem to stop responding following a small while. I have to unplug the monitor cables and plug them back in to get it to function. If you have an added ฤ and want to take a chance on this item be my guest. If you will need a great kvm don't get this 1. I've only tried it on two machines.

Does what I needed it to do. Got it on sale and shipped free of charge. None seriously. I really use this for an old projector. I just use the video switching, don't use a keyboard or mouse. I run Xbox 360 along with my computer system by way of VGA and my projector only has one particular VGA input. So.. this solved my troubles.

Economical. No color shifting, blurring, or noise - it does precisely what it claims to. Easy hookup.Low price + fantastic functionality = a excellent worth. None. The switch is powered by means of the connection cables, from the keyboard and/or mouse ports of the computers it is connected to. The switch might not show an indicator light if both computers are turned off.

Performs genuinely effectively. Inexpensive and very successful. none Iniitially I had troubles where by taking a laptop out of standby would loose all connectivity with my kb and mouse. Some times only a forced reboot of my laptop would allow my to use by keyboard and mouse. This I think was down to the logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. Recently I bought a Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 4000 kb and mouse ....none of the previous challenges have surfaced since. It I had of recognized to do this a year ago :-) So I put the blame on the Logitech wireless mouse and kb. On yet another note - this was the initial time I had any such difficulties with Logitech hw.
