Style has cooled my Phenom II superior than any other cooling device I own. For any person that has gotten an aftermarket cpu cooler we all know that they are massive!I like the fan style - It blows air sideways (away from the tubes) compared to the straigth up fans which do not perform nicely in my case.38C Idle on AM3 Phenom II X2(couldnt inform you if that was very good or terrible from this cooler and cpu setup but generally its cooler than the OEM set)Got of the open box sale - Extremely Satisfied W/ PURCHACE none other than if you had a challenge with red, exactly where normally anything is blue. I have no clue why you would want to turn your cpu fan down... especially when its currently silent, but this has that solution if you want it.Make certain it fits! I had to adjust my ram heatsinks (OCZ Reapers) to fit this, as it hovers above the RAM slots.

it performs really properly. a Q6600 at 3Ghz overclock only reaches 60C on the hotest core. with the V-core at 1.4625 it has a good glow and its not blue. this point is massive I have a complete size case and I still had to pull out the side 120mm fan and relocate it to the outside of the case. nevertheless performs but doesnt appear as good. the placement of the power cord and the fan speed control is undesirable. hangs out right infront of the cooler. they must have come off the base not the best. doesnt look as great as it could have. I under no circumstances understood why there is such a massive gap involving the heat sink and the fans. more then two inches of nothing but heatpipes. wouldnt it be much more efficient if the fins had been closer to the CPU? the lights from my tracer ram reflect off the cooling fins. looks fantastic. Make certain you have a larger Mid Tower case or a Complete Tower case because it barely match in mine and I have a relatively large Mid Tower.- Pulls air from the bottom exactly where the CPU is. (It's not that big of a deal because it can hold the load temps down genuinely nicely, just know that the idle temps don't matter even if they're around 43-44*C.) It cools my Phenom II 940 incredibly effectively.I was a tiny concerned with the idle temps, 43-44*C, but that changed when I saw that my load temps were only about 49-50*C with a full load.Don\'t forget: LOAD TEMPS ARE WHAT MATTER IN A COOLING UNIT! - SO Long AS THE TEMPS DON'T GO ABOVE THE DANGER Region, THE HEATSINK IS Great! :D

My original Fan that came with my Phenom II X2 Was Seriously loud and has a full load at 41 Degress C Now on a complete load playing SC2 I prime out at 35C Idle is 23C A Small snug in my Thermaltake V3 case, had to mount the vent fan in a distinct port becasue it was scraping the aluminum fins. -Moves a lot of hot air away from the CPU. -Keeps my AMD Athlon II X4 two.8ghz around 30c idle, and no higher than 40c under load. -Huge. Keeps temps down.What truly sold it for me was the clearance beneath the heatsink. My mobo is rather tightly packed and I was worried that other heatsinks would be too wide to fit in the space provided. This issue is large. - And I did my homework prior to buying. This thing is stupidly big (imagine a honeydew melon sitting on leading of your CPU). The only dimensions listed for this solution are 80 x 80 x 85 mm, but you have to recognize that this is only speaking about the fan inside the heatsink. It is considerably taller and substantially wider than you'd count on. I'd suggest a complete tower just before you even think about purchasing, as the mid tower I had couldn't quite fit it. (Luckily I had a complete tower kicking around the attic.) I agree with 'thermaltake user' - Thermaltake calls this a SPINQ VT. A name modify would be proper.

It did fit in my Acrylic Mid-Tower but was only a half inch from the side panel.-The Red LED's are not the brightest...even so I like it that way. And it is incredibly cool to appear down the center "core" of the heatsink and see the red blurry "maw"

This is a incredibly nice cooler! I have a coolermaster amd fusion HAF running an amd x6 BE and the color keeps up with the theme. It will keep any cpu cool provided you apply thermal paste properly. What is up with the darn power wire coming out of the prime thermal take? Couldn't you run the darn thing out the bottom so it can be hidden? This is the only eye sore in my entire situation!!! Now I have to mod the thing to hide it and all you had to do in the 1st spot was to run it out of the bottom close to the cpu. Let's get it ideal please, I won't acquire again unless this is fixed. If any person has a window on their case, appear elsewhere or program to mod the power wire to this thing inorder to hide it. It will take some cutting and splicing to do it. The fan speed control knob is useless, it can't go anyplace but in the hanging position. Please thermal take, repair that too. My case is all lit up in red and that is the cause I believed I would attempt out this cool hunting hs/fan. It works good from lga 1366 Intel i7 920 had it for a year now. It's massive five inch dia. and about 6 inch's tall installed Red LED's could be a little bit brighter, or its to significantly dust. installed on a Asus P6X58D Premium with Corsair Dominator GT 3x2gig with the fans installed on best of the ram sticks. this cpu heat sink is incredibly close to the fan unit and does touch. It all operates just be cautious. Non of these is actually a con just much more of what i have noticed. Upgrading to Intel Core i7-980X Intense Edition Gulftown three.33GHz 130W Six-Core will this heat sink function ok? I'm just asking yourself about heat production from stock speed 980x

WOW! Right here we go... This issue is tall, about half inch from side situation door on a thermaltake V3. Pipes at base gave about threeǚ to 1ǘ inch memory clearance on my biostar K8M800 micro ATX board. This thing is close to the exact same diameter as a 120mm fan W/ an 80mm fan inside. Looks fantastic! Gorgeous searching cooler, definetly the ideal looking one out there that I could find. Keeps temps within sensible level for the RPM that I am able to set with this cooler, see cons below. My main dilemma with this cooler is that I cannot have the rpm set to even close to max, otherwise I receive a substantial vibration in the cooler so much that I can feel it in the rest of the chassis. Possibly just got a poor unit that has an unbalanced fan. Other issue is that it makes use of the plastic push pins that the standard cooler utilizes. Personally I dont trust them with a cooler this huge and I would favor one thing a bit additional sturdy. But this is personal preference I suppose and so far it hasnt popped off considering that i lastly got it installed proper. Great searching...efficient. I changed out my stock cooler on my 965 Black clocked to four. Ghz and what a difference it created. Atleast, a continuous ten degrees C difference. I enjoy it. The led is just vibrant adequate to looks sleek and qualified. Not bright and inexpensive like some others. It looks like a smoldering coal in the middle. How ironic for a CPU Cooler. None Great. Would recommend to everyone. It's big but I was in a position to fit it in my Thermaltake Armor+ MX case even with the 230mm fan appropriate in front of it.
