Awesomely quiet, even at its highest RMP. Looks really good ideal seeking CPU fan out there that can match AM3. My six Core runs about 36 Avg and around 48 on a higher CPU pull. The readings come from my mobo. It also leaves a lot of room for your Ram. I have Rip Jaw Ram that come with Heat-sinks on it did not have to move them around to fit fan it. Incredibly tall, make sure you have space ahead of buying. Going to buy another one for my wife's laptop.

I bought this when my old cpu cooler began acting up and it does not dissapoint. The finest element about it for me is that even though its a major cpu cooler (make confident your case is big adequate to hold this monster) its light enough so that you dont have to take out your entire mobo to place a bracket on the back for support. Also, even even though it is fairly massive, its mostly just tall so for most mobos you shouldnt have any problems with RAM not fitting. Its super uncomplicated to set up and keeps my cpu running below 30 C. Also the fan is for the most portion quiet. I have mine running a small over half way and theres no noise. If its maxed out there is some noise. Bottom line, if you want the effectiveness of a huge cpu cooler but dont want to have to rebuild your whole pc just to place it in, then this is a fantastic obtain. None that I know of. As lengthy as your case is huge enough and you like red LED's, then this is the cpu cooler for you.

The Cooler does a excellent job at venting heat from my cpu. This Is 1 of the greatest I've seen shy of stepping up to a liquid cooling rig. It's keeping my Phenom 1090t(clocked 3817) running at about 37C under load and maxed at 39C running a two hour anxiety test. The speed handle knob hangs, and depending on which path you mount it can lead to it to hit on your Video card. The red LEDs that light this point are underpowered. Does not give off the illumination like pictured; so if purchasing this for the "glow effect" beware. The CPU Power cable was a discomfort to hook up. It feeds from the prime and is just barely long enough to connect to my Mobo(mostly from possessing to turn the unit to lift the speed handle knob off my video card)I'm a little concerned with how best heavy it is and the mounting clip that is employed on the AMD chip set. Tt utilizes the stock board mount and a rocker clip to hold this in location. If you are a mobile LANer you could want to appear elsewhere. This point is Large, but moves air effectively and is very sturdy in the all round design and style. It draws heat away from my chip like no other sink I've had ahead of which is why I still gave it a 4 egg vs. a 3. The heat overall performance is amazing and is super quiet.

Appears great, cools well, big. the white tag attached to it on the leading is quite annoying, "also says warranty void if removed", but no 1 cares about warranty, removed it anyway. measure your case ahead of buying, its tall.

It cools... what additional can I say? It's quiet? (at least I can't hear it more than my six case fans) The cables are seriously the only issues I don't like about it. Most CPU fan energy sockets (on the mother board) are 4 pin, why make this with only a 3 pin? On the cable for the speed controller (useless if they went with a 4 pin as the technique need to be capable to control the speed primarily based on cooling desires) there's a huge label sticking out that serves certainly no purpose, but clearly states (large print) warranty void if removed. This label is a large flag that likes to get inside of the fan and make annoying noises This is Enormous!

YOWZA, THIS Thing IS Massive!!! If I could make my font larger to spell out massive I would...I couldn't think how large this point was when I pulled it out of the box, but for its size, it's fargin' good. And quiet also! I turned up the speed to max and you can't even hear it. Once once more Thermaltake pulls by way of and offers me with a best-notch CPU fan. N/A N/A

Style has cooled my Phenom II superior than any other cooling device I own. It keeps temps down so effectively that I sometimes wonder if my CPU is operating in games. :D Hottest temp I've gotten so far is 39*C. The setup I've gotten is a tiny modded although. The 80mm fan slot above most instances was cut out of mine and so it just pulls air straight from outdoors. (Though there is a filter to guard prospective bits of clothing and/or curious fingers... >.>)I've got my CPU overclocked to three.6GHz @ 1.45v and it had a TDP of 173 watts at that level! This in thoughts, it can cool THAT level with ease. Why would you get any other heatsink understanding this? It's not the greatest cooler but it's bigger than you think. Like I stated, I had to mod the side of my mid tower case to make certain it gets the air it demands. Just maintain this in thoughts for these of you who want to get it, you require either a wide mid tower case or any complete tower model. It's about half a foot tall for those of you who are curious. It's just big. It does justice on AMD CPUs far more than Intel processors given that the i7s jump from low to high in half a second, while the AMD counterparts rise at a steady pace allowing them to be cooled off much more efficiently.

For any person that has gotten an aftermarket cpu cooler we all know that they are massive!I like the fan style - It blows air sideways (away from the tubes) compared to the straigth up fans which do not perform nicely in my case.38C Idle on AM3 Phenom II X2(couldnt inform you if that was very good or terrible from this cooler and cpu setup but generally its cooler than the OEM set)Got of the open box sale - Extremely Satisfied W/ PURCHACE none other than if you had a challenge with red, exactly where normally anything is blue. I have no clue why you would want to turn your cpu fan down... especially when its currently silent, but this has that solution if you want it.Make certain it fits! I had to adjust my ram heatsinks (OCZ Reapers) to fit this, as it hovers above the RAM slots.

it performs really properly. a Q6600 at 3Ghz overclock only reaches 60C on the hotest core. with the V-core at 1.4625 it has a good glow and its not blue. this point is massive I have a complete size case and I still had to pull out the side 120mm fan and relocate it to the outside of the case. nevertheless performs but doesnt appear as good. the placement of the power cord and the fan speed control is undesirable. hangs out right infront of the cooler. they must have come off the base not the best. doesnt look as great as it could have. I under no circumstances understood why there is such a massive gap involving the heat sink and the fans. more then two inches of nothing but heatpipes. wouldnt it be much more efficient if the fins had been closer to the CPU? the lights from my tracer ram reflect off the cooling fins. looks fantastic. I would appreciate it if the LED could pulse, like a heart beat based on the temp of the CPU.

- Superb heat dissipation- Pulls air in from two directions, maximizing airflow- Keeps load temps impressively low - Large. This cannot be understated. Make certain you have a larger Mid Tower case or a Complete Tower case because it barely match in mine and I have a relatively large Mid Tower.- Pulls air from the bottom exactly where the CPU is. (It's not that big of a deal because it can hold the load temps down genuinely nicely, just know that the idle temps don't matter even if they're around 43-44*C.) It cools my Phenom II 940 incredibly effectively.I was a tiny concerned with the idle temps, 43-44*C, but that changed when I saw that my load temps were only about 49-50*C with a full load.Don\'t forget: LOAD TEMPS ARE WHAT MATTER IN A COOLING UNIT! - SO Long AS THE TEMPS DON'T GO ABOVE THE DANGER Region, THE HEATSINK IS Great! :D

The Cooling Energy, Ease of Installation. The SpinQ is amazingly quiet. My original Fan that came with my Phenom II X2 Was Seriously loud and has a full load at 41 Degress C Now on a complete load playing SC2 I prime out at 35C Idle is 23C A Small snug in my Thermaltake V3 case, had to mount the vent fan in a distinct port becasue it was scraping the aluminum fins. It's 159mm tall. Be Weary, IT IS Massive! no joke.

So I have this cooler installed on top of an AMD Phenom ii X4 940. Just before i Overclocked my processor i was never seeing temps above 30c MAX load. I was about 15 or 16c idle and 20c when browsing the internet. Maintain in thoughts, i have crazy airflow. I have a genuinely large server case (Chenbro Expert server or a thing like that) that has 3 120m fans that push tons of air. My ambient temps utilized to be no higher than 25C through everest. Now i have this issue Overclocked to three.five GHZ never ever seeing temps above 68c. I ran a System Stability test by means of everest(just a one hundred% CPU usage spike till you cancel it) and its stable. It went for four hours ahead of i got residence to stop it. Highest temp was 72C I would also like to say that i use this machine entirely for gaming and music production. I use FL studio as my music production tool and i play tons of distinct games. I play Crysis, WoW, COD4, CODW@W, COD6, CS, CS:S, TF2, Minecraft, UT2004, UT3, MOHAA, Starcraft, Stronghold Crusader, and Split Second. The greatest and worst problem i had with this cooler is the mounting bracket for the AMD platform. It took me about a half hour to get it on since i could specifically fit my hands around it to lock in place. Offered i could have taken my board out and installed it outside the case, i just didn't feel like it. -Moves a lot of hot air away from the CPU. -Keeps my AMD Athlon II X4 two.8ghz around 30c idle, and no higher than 40c under load. -Huge. I had to eliminate the side fan from my Apevia X-Supra G-Type Case to make space for it. I did not try overclocking with this cooler but, so I can't speak from that realm. Also, when I say Massive, I imply tall, this factor is not extremely wide at all.

Initially utilised the stock heat-sink that came with my Core i5-750, which was garbage, and moved to this great tower cooler. Operating Prime-95 created the stock heat-sink just about reach one hundred C immediately after 15 minutes so I place this thing on and Prime-95 has however to even break 55 C, even though I practically exclusively use my computer for gaming. My idle temperatures are around 30-34C ࿶-93 F) and if left alone on desktop for 20 minutes or so, I have observed it go to as low as 16 C ࿝ F). Just amazing for an air cooler. It is incredibly quiet, and the cooler comes with a control knob for fan speed on it. Mine is at present set to around halfway, or 800-900 rpm, and it is dead quiet. I have Never heard it in an almost silent room. It is slightly audible if set to max speed, which is around 1600 rpm, but it keeps everything Really cool even at low rpm's, most likely due to its immense size. I personally do not discover this to be a con, but its significant size can be intimidating for some devoid of a wide case. Make confident you have a case that is at least 8 inches in width, minimal, for this this cooler, or else you may well have troubles with it fitting. Fits fine in my case, but it was a close call when I very first installed it. I am particularly impressed with the overall looks, good quality, and overall performance with this cooler, specifically because it is an air cooler and performs much better then several liquid cooling options. Thank you thermaltake for producing such a quality item and I look forward to getting your merchandise in the future.

Keeps temps down. What truly sold it for me was the clearance beneath the heatsink. My mobo is rather tightly packed and I was worried that other heatsinks would be too wide to fit in the space provided. This issue is large. - And I did my homework prior to buying. This thing is stupidly big (imagine a honeydew melon sitting on leading of your CPU). The only dimensions listed for this solution are 80 x 80 x 85 mm, but you have to recognize that this is only speaking about the fan inside the heatsink. It is considerably taller and substantially wider than you'd count on. I'd suggest a complete tower just before you even think about purchasing, as the mid tower I had couldn't quite fit it. (Luckily I had a complete tower kicking around the attic.) I agree with 'thermaltake user' - Thermaltake calls this a SPINQ VT. A name modify would be proper.

- It's Huge- A Red LED Cooler in a planet of Blue LED's- Cools nicely- Fairly quiet even at max RPM - It's Huge- It's Not Copper... (Would be way too heavy then)- The Modest fan adjustment dial can be tough to get too the moment installed.... -Images don't do it justice...this thing is huge! it has a reasonably small horizontal profile but it is quite tall. It did fit in my Acrylic Mid-Tower but was only a half inch from the side panel.-The Red LED's are not the brightest...even so I like it that way. Its a subtle effect that enhances the look of the cooler and not just an overpowering show of brightness. And it is incredibly cool to appear down the center "core" of the heatsink and see the red blurry "maw"

This is a incredibly nice cooler! I have a coolermaster amd fusion HAF running an amd x6 BE and the color keeps up with the theme. It will keep any cpu cool provided you apply thermal paste properly. What is up with the darn power wire coming out of the prime thermal take? Couldn't you run the darn thing out the bottom so it can be hidden? This is the only eye sore in my entire situation!!! Now I have to mod the thing to hide it and all you had to do in the 1st spot was to run it out of the bottom close to the cpu. Let's get it ideal please, I won't acquire again unless this is fixed. If any person has a window on their case, appear elsewhere or program to mod the power wire to this thing inorder to hide it. It will take some cutting and splicing to do it. The fan speed control knob is useless, it can't go anyplace but in the hanging position. Please thermal take, repair that too. My case is all lit up in red and that is the cause I believed I would attempt out this cool hunting hs/fan. It is a extremely good fan, but the above talked about cons are a deal breaker for me in the future. It does operate really effectively, and I did use tuniq paste due to the fact thermal take's sticks to my teeth. ha ha. Anyway all, just beware that the darn power wire will be incredibly visable in a windowed situation.

It works good from lga 1366 Intel i7 920 had it for a year now. It's massive five inch dia. and about 6 inch's tall installed Red LED's could be a little bit brighter, or its to significantly dust. installed on a Asus P6X58D Premium with Corsair Dominator GT 3x2gig with the fans installed on best of the ram sticks. this cpu heat sink is incredibly close to the fan unit and does touch. It all operates just be cautious. Non of these is actually a con just much more of what i have noticed. Upgrading to Intel Core i7-980X Intense Edition Gulftown three.33GHz 130W Six-Core will this heat sink function ok? I'm just asking yourself about heat production from stock speed 980x

WOW! Right here we go... This issue is tall, about half inch from side situation door on a thermaltake V3. Pipes at base gave about threeǚ to 1ǘ inch memory clearance on my biostar K8M800 micro ATX board. This thing is close to the exact same diameter as a 120mm fan W/ an 80mm fan inside. Looks fantastic! None AM2 = straightforward set up. Went from a stock AMD heatsink and fan running @ 49 deg C. technique typical to this monster running @ 35 deg C. method average. My two.9Ghz Athlon 64 X2 dual core runs on average of 30 deg C. at the core! Really PLEASED!

Gorgeous searching cooler, definetly the ideal looking one out there that I could find. Keeps temps within sensible level for the RPM that I am able to set with this cooler, see cons below. My main dilemma with this cooler is that I cannot have the rpm set to even close to max, otherwise I receive a substantial vibration in the cooler so much that I can feel it in the rest of the chassis. Possibly just got a poor unit that has an unbalanced fan. Other issue is that it makes use of the plastic push pins that the standard cooler utilizes. Personally I dont trust them with a cooler this huge and I would favor one thing a bit additional sturdy. But this is personal preference I suppose and so far it hasnt popped off considering that i lastly got it installed proper. Fantastic cooler but for the price I was hoping for far more, since I cant truly come close to the max rpm my temps are much larger then they ought to be for this cooler. Will probably be removing this 1 and installing a diverse cooler at some point but for not it functions fine for what I need to have.

Great searching...efficient. I changed out my stock cooler on my 965 Black clocked to four. Ghz and what a difference it created. Atleast, a continuous ten degrees C difference. I enjoy it. The led is just vibrant adequate to looks sleek and qualified. Not bright and inexpensive like some others. It looks like a smoldering coal in the middle. How ironic for a CPU Cooler. None Great. Would recommend to everyone. It's big but I was in a position to fit it in my Thermaltake Armor+ MX case even with the 230mm fan appropriate in front of it. That combination is a cooling masterpiece.
