Theoretically an great cooler with reasonably easy installation. IT'S Huge. The greatest comparison I can give you is that it's about the similar size as an typical power provide. On my MSI P67A-G45, it completely overlaps DIMM1. Even using RAM with little/no heatsink, I don't consider it woudl match. I'm certain it's great, but I would recommend a compatibility list to aid individuals keep away from ordering with a case or MB that is not compatible.

This issue is amazing. I installed into 2 different circumstances. Storm scout and Antec 1200 V2. Each fit Perfect. Keeps my Phenom II x4 955 three.two OCD to 3.9 at 41 Degrees. I Adore IT Well, I purchased 2 of them for 2 gaming rigs. 1 of the screws for the AM3 brackets was missing and sort of scared me. Its supposed to be held onto the CPU with 4 exceptional screws and 1 1 of them only had three.

Brought down temp 8C on idle, ㅂC on complete load, WITH overlock from 3.0GHz to 3.five.Quiet (when set correct) Barely match in my mid-tower case lol.had to rip out anything to set up it with the backplate and all. Very pleased with benefits. It gets in the way of the side fan spot, but since it cools much better I don't actually require 1 there now. Also I connected the main one particular (right) to the pwr fan on the mobo with it set close to hi (or else too loud). The other I connected to the cpu fan and is set closer to lo.

keeps my Phenom II x6 cpu super cool. Fantastic for buyers who opt for not to go with watercooling. Massive...it will consume up 1 of your ram slot but can operate about it...see beneath Removing the heat spreader on one of the ram will allow you to use all four dimm slots

Keeps the i5 2500K nice and chilled even when overclocked. The stock Intel heatsink does ok, but this Frio is a beast. The Intel heatsink keeps temps at 35c-38c idle (stock speeds) and the Frio 25c. Major distinction! I utilised Arctic Silver Ceramique on each tests. Overclocking would be danger with the stock cooler. Thermaltake makes fantastic items! It doesn't maintain my bruskies cold. It was basic for me to install, but for some it might be a small difficult. Flip the CPU cooler upside down when mounting. Flip the motherboard over with the CPU installed and set on prime of the flipped over Frio. Press on the bracket tha you installed on the back of the motherboard then add the screws. This is the easiest way to set up this big bubba. Operate the screws in a cross/X pattern.

Practically nothing a lot more to add right here! 1 thing I want they would've included is a Y connector for the fans if you have them set up in push/pull. So if that's what you're intending on doing, be positive you make/buy a "Y" connector for your fans.

1 of the finest air coolers and however it has a reasonable value.Even though I've never heard it talked about, was capable to install it without taking the motherboard out of my CM Sniper case. Due to the fact the case has an access hole behind the motherboard so you can attach points like cpu coolers, with a bit of care so as to not let the nylon washers fall off, was in a position to have the method up and operating inside ten minutes. I rather like NT-H1 TIM and with it the technique was able to reduce the temp of my AMD Phenom II x4 955 BE by a fantastic six to eight degrees more than my earlier cooler... you know, muscle automobiles often had this kind of engine back in the day. I won't say that the will need for the superior cooler was necessitated by enhancing the speed of my processor. Would in no way say that. Getting study what I could uncover on the World wide web, was aware that it is pointed out usually that this cooler is...effectively...huge. But possessing come from a substantial cooler...and one particular that only has 1 fan... this wasn't bad. Now the Sniper case is huge adequate for most something big, like coolers and video cards so huge was not an issue. For most, noise would be. Acquiring old and deaf and having the computer system under my pc table, the considerable noise was not a consideration. Wanted something with two fans and the potential to take air cooling as far as possible for a affordable value. Do not misunderstand, the two fans make noise, but when you have 5 other case fans, this unit blends right in. It also assists that I run all fans at maximum speed all the time. For me, heat is the enemy....noise is collateral damage. What do I give up with this cooler? Not substantially according to all the reports I read. Had it been offered, would have gone for the new Frio OCK if my dollars and its availability had come with each other when I was ready to obtain. But no regrets. 1 piece water units are almost prepared for prime time (I had 1 a year ago and lost a Tv card as a outcome of a cracked fitting on the radiator...it had been written about and I ignored it to my chagrin) and I'll most likely go that route on my subsequent build. For now, the FRIO is a great bang for the buck.

Got this for overclocking my Core i5 2500K. Fits on a P8P67 just fine. Running with each integrated fans, my cores remain in between 43-53C beneath moderate load @ four.five GHz. Even below extreme load, I haven't noticed the temp go over 60C. Some have mentioned the stock fans are loud on max, but they don't bother me. Very substantial! This thing is as massive as your head. Took me a couple attempted to figure out how to get the motherboard & tray assembly back in my Lian Li case. Extremely pleased. Wonderful shipping from NewEgg, as usual.

This is the greatest beast of a Cooler I have ever seen. This will out do all but the finest water cooled systems. It has a fan controller which is a large plus allowing you to control fan speeds beneath load. This is a beast, and it confident is the size of one. This is a single of the larger Heatsinks on the market place. If you are organizing on employing two fans with this cooler you may possibly want to make sure it wont block a ram slot like on my mother board In addition to the size and noise issues this cooler could just be the best Air Cooler on the market.

massive air flow, could not match each fans on asus rampage 3 so i took the fan facing the ram off.then installed the additional fan on my coolermaster centurian5 as a case fan, wow i am moving a lot of air, moving so much air i dont need a fan on my overclocked memory, also these fans come with pots that lets you manage voltage on every single fan,i run 100 percent when gaming and back them down when not, high quality here, also ran wires to pots, letting me handle the fan speed on the front of my case none thermaltake=quality

Lowered my CPU operating temp 30 degrees .P II X4 955 overclocked to three.6, runs Rift on ultra graphics topping out at 44. with the stock cooler I'd hit 77 on medium graphics in under 30 min. None, My case is not so fancy and I had to remove the motherboard to set up the backplate, but if you are carefull and pay consideration, or have a case with an access door its not an problem. I dont know if my stock heatsink was undesirable, or the set up was poor. I didnt make my system. I have had overheating issues given that the initially boot. I applied to overheat so bad it would shut down, the Frio fixxed all that.

Fantastic Heatsink. Steady at 32C right now. hit about 40C below load. Amazing thinking about all I do. For the cost it cant be beat. none Not a con for me but be warned that this point is massive. I had to take off a side panel fan in my case since its so huge. I have about a half inch of clearance for my Ram so it is excellent.

Really like that I can make use of each fans w/speed handle no cooling troubles whatsoever. I bought some GSKILLS RIP JAWS had to use second slot on motherboard which is not a con. Low profiles will definately make it. 33 degrees celsius for CPU even right after overclocking my 955BE from three.2 -3.six thus far on ASUS Crosshair IV Formula just starting off on overclock. Going to perform on pushing it greater. None as a result far. If you have a Thermaltake Armor + MX you will have to take the side fan off additional than probably. I cannot latch the side totally. Closed only the top rated-half. Hopes this aids with wondering if you have to give up the side fan for this case.

this thing really cools, utilizing the stock heat sink and fan on my Phenom II 925 it idled at 30c and in prime95 it would push it up into the mid 50s to 60s. installed this today and ran prime 95 for a few hours and just wow, didnt even get past 31c. idles at 19c. ideal cooler i have noticed, period. mounting on a AMD board took a small troubleshooting as the directions went also certain. had to remove the complete motherboard to install it. this point is Big, barely fits into my Raidmax Sirius case, had to take away the side fan in order to get the side pannel back on but wow, what a distinction. it comes in contact with the side of the case but it does in truth match.
