Compact & Quiet; practically silent. Variable speed with temp sensor. Bought 4 fans, one particular sounds like a truck. RMA'ing a ű fan will expense me ű UPS to ship it back using Newegg's UPS label service. I feel I'll put it in a padded envelope and ship U.S. Post Office.Newegg demands to do one thing about returns of defective products. They will need to ship out a replacement as quickly as an RMA is issued; then wait a week or so for the defective item to reach them; and if not received or not defective, then they can charge the buyer for the replacement. If defective, then all is properly. They also want to spend for, or deeply discount return shipping charges for defective items. I had to send back a defective tough drive which price about บ, then wait about two weeks for the entire course of action to perform -- they receive it ƕ days ship time), they look it more than (another day or two), they ship out a replacement (another 5 days waiting).I may well begin hunting elsewhere for my personal computer and electronic parts.

Solid CPU replacement fan. Incredibly quiet. You will need to purchase some truly extended skinny screws in order to attach this to the heat sink given that this fan is most probably a lot thicker than the stock fan.

Decent airflow. Stays fairly quiet due to it's thermal diode. My method runs quite hot and this fan nevertheless idles down to a decent noise level. Not the airflow you'd get from a 120mm fan. But that's not it's fault. It's my case's for not getting a 120mm mount. Fantastic bargain, good fan.

Simple, cheap design that gets the job completed. Quiet, as well. Vantec ought to have utilised all three pins on the 3-pin motherboard connector. Instead they only use the third pin so you can study the RPM's from the motherboard, but use Molex connectors for energy. It's not a big issue but it's an annoyance. I'll in all probability go uncover some pins or some thing and make the energy leads run off the 3-pin connector alternatively of the Molex, but I'm happy for now.Bought this fan as the third optional fan for my Thermaltake Lanbox Lite. It sits above the GPU and seems to be getting the job completed.

Great replacement for my Tivo fan. It has a small sensor by the blades to detect air temperature although blowing. It runs at 1900rpm when 25c ࿭F) to 4200rpm 50c鲺F) none I replaced my RCA-80 Tivo fan with this unit when I added an second really hard drive. With a single tough drive and the stock fan was operating 107-111F. The new fan with additional really hard drive is operating one hundred-105F.

Decent price. Straightforward set up. Quiet at low RPM, not terrible running full out. I can feel them moving a very good amount of warm air out of the back of the case. It would be nice if the self-tapping screws were black rather of silver to match my case. By no means would this cause a loss of an egg. All round drop in my GPU temperature was minimal, but I wasn't expecting much. This was supposed to be a supplement to my replacing of the stock GPU coolers which I have yet to do. (Geez...9800 GTX+'s run hot specifically when SLI'd) I think that they'll be incredibly valuable in evacuating the heat out of the case as soon as the new coolers get the heat away from the card.

Slapped 3 of these into my Thermaltake Lanbox Lite, replacing the 2 60mm fans that the case came with and adding a 3rd in the back beside the PSU. A lot quieter than the stock fans, and undoubtedly helps keep the machine cooler. None.

Quiet, powerful, sturdy-feeling none so far Purchased two of these to replace the stock fans in a Thermaltake Lanbox lite. They are whisper quiet, and move adequate air to serve their purpose very easily. I've in no way purchased a Vantec item ahead of, but the packaging and the item are both top rated notch.

I construct a media center Pc that was to exist in my primary room next to the Tv and I didn’t want this consider to make a tone of noise. The processor was a Core two Duo, which does start off operating really hard when processing HD video. Practical experience from creating other systems has taught me that the stock coolers will get loud when the program is operating tough but that is not the case right here. Completely loaded TS stream decoding it was good and quiet and the temperatures keep exactly where they should be. If you are constructing a system to be quiet I strongly encourage a cooler like this one particular. I also appears impressive, which is a good if you are a gadget geek! To retain sound down you want a large fan, and with that brings a bigger heat sink. Make certain you have space in your case. Spend focus to the airflow when mounting the cooler so you don't end up obtaining the case fan exhaust fighting with the fan on the heatsink.

Automatic variable speed handle operates as it ought to. At complete speed it generates good air flow for such a modest fan. kind of loud at complete speed, but what do expect for a 60mm? It's nonetheless quieter than the 80mm case fan I have wish i'd bought additional. they perform great in my mATX case!

Runs really quietly. Automatic temp sensor to adjust its own speed. Has wire for mobo to detect RPM. Even involves screws. Not a whole lot of airflow, but this is a quite little case fan. For all these silly persons saying this fan demands longer screws to use with their CPU, don't be ridiculous. This is a CASE fan, *not* a CPU fan. It doesn't produce nearly adequate airflow to preserve a CPU cool. But if you insist on melting down your processor, don't say you hadn't been warned.

Quiet, push an adequate quantity of air. I type of wish the wires had been wrapped, but it's not that big a deal. These truly helped more than the stock (read: terrible) 60mm fans in my lanbox. I replaced the two stock fans, and added 1 in the optional slot more than the video card(also replaced the poor excellent front 92mm at the similar time)... Considerably quieter, and they truly move air!.

See other thoughts. See other thoughts. There is an ongoing mod to fix the temperature of the nForce chip on the 780i SLi motherboard - This fan can act as a replacement for the default low-high quality fan on the motherboard (That blows downward also onto the graphics card). One particular popular method of this mod is to use zip ties or cable ties to affix this 60mm fan onto the heatsink of the 780i SLi, I have seen a Massive temperature drop amongst idle and load because performing this, and imo - for these who are even thinking of overclocking on the 780i, this mod is a need to.

Very good airflow and super quiet. I like the built in thermostat. Functions wonderful as a supplemental fan in my Lanbox Lite. I would've prefered to have all 3 wires connected to the 3-pin fan connector as an alternative of the molex + sensing wire setup, but it's no large deal and I can transform it (but most likely won't).

Right away saw CPU temps go down ten degrees C! Went from a 63 C on full load to about 52 on full load.I've also noticed my MB's heat has gone down practically 20 degrees as nicely. I guess this smaller investment has a huge effect. Just that it desires longer screws. Like quite a few of the other reviews mentioned, you will require to buy longer screws. I identified 6-32 X 1-1ǚ screws in two packs at Loews for 89 cents. The two bucks have been worth it. Also, a handful of individuals say this fan wasn't meant for CPUs, such as they don't blow enough air onto the heat sink. They are wrong. This factor blows three occasions as a lot air, compared to my AMD stock fan that I had for practically five years.

I bought a few of these fans and they function excellent! They're super really and not a terrible price tag either. The dropped the temp of my hdd about 8C also which was good. They only come in black so they don't genuinely match great but that's about all. Greater than my old fans that drew all the consideration result in of the noise.

Exceptional fan, running in a Thermaltake Lanbox Lite which is commonly ok but with a AMD 6400+ items had been receiving HOTTT in there and this fan along with a Blue Orb dropped temps by 30C... Thats appropriate the processor temp as soon as spiked at 83C... This fan flows significantly a lot more than the stock 60mm fans integrated in the case just by feeling them and is usually extremely quiet... None really... But i can see it being effortless to strip

Excellent worth, moves a lot of air. Fairly wide, but that is the trade off for excellent cfm. Uses 3 and four pin connector if you want PWM, working with only the four pin connector forces this to run at max speed, which can be pretty loud.
