Slim, functions every time, good cost, just can't beat it. Depending on the drive you put in it could demand added juice from the second usb (provided) I enjoy this enclosure. I use 7200rpm drives in it which I think is what needs the added energy or the drive gets slower. This has saved me on many occasions.

Very strong and properly put together. This is not junk like some of the others for this price tag. Actually modest. Seriously cool appear as well. HD indicator is on the back. A bit weird, but i see why they did it. The unit is really little and receiving an LED to the front would have added space. The three.five model does have a front LED. Not a large deal. Just a bit weird. I have the 3.five" version of this model also, and it is by far the finest value and good quality of external enclosure I've bought. The two.five" model does not come with a energy supply like its large brother the 3.five" model. There is a jack for one even though. You don't seriously will need it as extended as you can tolerate the dual USB input technique.

This is a great little enclosure - compact, economical. I have numerous and they take virtually no space in my bag. Not necessarily the sturdiest enclosure, but it doesn't really need to be.Also, I discovered that a 640GB WD drive I just purchased will not work in this enclosure (WD Scorpio Blue WD6400BEVT). Cheap and largely well built. The screws are a bit hard to get in. Feels a little like they may well strip the plastic. Not confident this would hold up to heavy use. I required an enclosure to clone a challenging drive when performing an upgrade. This one particular fit the bill considering that I don't plan on swapping out drives or traveling with it. I was worried after I got it that the drive would rattle and move around and I was surprised by the tight match, and how effectively it worked out. Don't like the double USB power supply, primarily because I dont require it but it was nothing to replace. Cord can be as well quick but once again not a problem. Drive a small loose at first but I place a couple strips of electric tape on the inside back to hold it tight and it works wonderful.
