This fan is very powerful I have it installed in my media slim case, and wow does it cool it off. I have the Rosewill R379-M Black/ Silver .8mm SGCC Steel Slim MicroATX Computer system Case, and I replaced the incorporated 80mm fan with this, and reversed the air flow. Now all the air is going into my case straight onto my four sticks of RAM. Immediately after 3 hours of playing HI-DEF movies the case temp was at 26C and CPU at 53C, and the RAM sticks were ice cold to the touch --- all that with the fan speed set to minimum (via controller) to decrease noise. NONE If noise is an situation look elsewhere, otherwise this is very best fan ever.Computer SPECS:Rosewill slim caseAsus M2N micro ATX boardAMD 6000 125W -- stockADATA 4G DDR800ASUS ENGT220 Video Cardtwo WD 80G HDD to store musicLITE-ON blue-ray driveall projecting onto a 60" HDTV

"Faster than a speeding bullet" "More strong than a locomotive" about as loud too. Seriously, I put two in a silverstone CW03 HTPC case and they dropped the ambient and memory temps 8 degrees. The sound was overwhelming. Removed one particular, place in an antec controller and dialed down to 3300 rpm. Dropped five degrees. Acceptable. No joke, these move as significantly air as a very good size space fan.Since the HTPC is in an AV closet, and hooked up to Carver equip (total 7.1򝑨watts) I can get away with this. Otherwise you'll need to have osha approved hearing protection from the sound of two of these puppies. Performs as advertised - most effective 80mm fan out there (and that you can consider).

Very Effective FAN!! seriously..WOW it pushes a LOT of air. brings my CPU on full load from 144f on stock cooler to 111f just throwing this on my heatsink. HECK OF A FAN! It is loud..ya. But thats anticipated with ᢈCFM If you dont like noise, dont get it. For desktop, unless you dont care about the noise, and dont have anybody else who does get it. its remarkable. but I can hear it upstairs and its in the basement..for a server enviroment, I believe im going to get a handful of of these, 80 and 120 for my server sence its in its personal room. The cooling with these is just unbelievable.

Excellent when you need to have to move lots of air in a small time.Excellent for cooling ANY gaming rig. Noise. That's it. It's a easy answer to repair the noise challenge; add a fan controller.I have two UltraKaze 120mm fans hooked up, my CPU cooler fan, and three of these Tornadoes, all hooked up to a 6 slot fan controller. Guess what, at half energy, they move enough air, and are rather very. When I enter a game, I merely turn the fans up just a bit, perhaps to 5Ǟ of the way up. That's plenty to preserve my 4gb dual channel DDR2 ram, 4870, 9550 Black edition OCed to 3 gigs, cool. On a side note, in the course of the winter time, where noise is no factor, I cranked up each fan in my rig. My Processor's temp? Working with these in air cooling? 12° Celcius. For the rest of us, that's in the 50's I believe. Not undesirable, Bravo for these fans.GET A FAN CONTROLLER.

Fantastic item. Moves a ton of air. None, I knew it was loud going into the purchase, and I don't care a single bit. I perform in a server room most of the day so I don't even seriously notice this. I got two of these, 1 intake and 1 exhaust for my tower, due to the fact i can't afford to upgrade that at this time. 2 of these keep my case nice and cool. Be warned, if you are going to use this as an intake fan like I did, please be intelligent and get a filter for it if you don't currently have 1.

The most powerful 80mm readily available available. Bought it particularly to use as aspect of my homemade CPU cooler. Loud yes, but thats why its known as the Tornado! You can get applied to it. I took a stock Intel heat sink fan, reduce off the fan with a hacksaw, sanded down the rough edges, and super glued the Tornado to the remaining mounting frame. It is such an unbelievably strong fan that I would place this configuration up against any other 80mm cpu cooler on the market place!

This infant will bring in the wind like practically nothing... i place in my case and turnt on and wow the dust went flying i bought two and dont even use a single because i didnt consider it was that loud. but its nevertheless in my case just in case i overclock. Absolutely nothing... In addition to the fact that its loud, yes you dont assume its going to be loud but ow yea its loud alright. Not the companys fault but dang this point is worth it if you got a server that needs cooling but for residence computing stay away simply because this point is loud.

This will fix what ever overheating problem you have... I hugely propose this to absolutely everyone who owns a fan controller! The more air you move the louder your fan, so if you cant stand the sound of a loud fan at times you require to switch to liquid cooling. Not obtaining a fan controller with this fan is not an selection unless you can stand static on your Television at full volume... The fans moves a ton of air. The fan is loud. Everybody says it is loud for excellent purpose. It sounds like a hair dryer. It is audible various rooms away. I have other higher flow fans and this one is just incredibly loud. In hindsight I probably wouldn't have bought this fan. If you are prepared for it, it is a good fan.

Fantastic air movement and potent! I was expecting this to be loud, but didn't anticipate it could be heard all the way across the house! If you need to have to have a lot of air moving this is the one particular for you. The 3-pin is a tachometer only. It can\'t be attached to a fan controller to ramp it down, no matter that a number of other reviewers say they have been in a position to do so. Need to be powered by a Molex. Because I can't put my e-mail here I can't get guidelines on how to use adapters to permit control.

This points moves a ton of air. It has the energy of a 2ft standing fan you would use to cool your house with. If you dont mind a loud fan and want a ton of air flow this is the fan for you. I take into account myself to have a high tolerance for noise but this fan is just rediculous. I installed two on my comp to assist with overclocking and my buddy measured the noise with a dB meter. Subsequent to the case it was 110 dB and in the ambient room nonetheless virtually 90 dB. This point is NOISY!! I didnt know a fan could be that loud.

These fans move Massive amounts of air. Assured to hold systems cooler than "standard" case fans. These babies (as stated a lot of occasions just before) are LOUD! I mean Incredibly LOUD! If you have far more than a single installed and are in a standard sized room in our house, you will have problems speaking to another particular person in the area over the noise. I purchased four of these, installed all of them, turned on my machine and marveled at the quantity of air becoming moved in and out of my case. About five minutes later, I realized I would not be able to stand the noise these fans developed. I removed three of the four fans and ran it for a day, but that was still too loud.I ended up removing the fourth one and replacing them with standard fans. I returned these fans to NewEgg, who refunded my funds devoid of query. The only purpose I did not give these fiveǛ on the rating is mainly because I was really bummed I could not hold these fans for my application.

It pushes air, ummm scratch that... it shoves air!Like the others have mentioned, this fan is a beast, so don't complain about the noise. You read the cfm specs just before you bought? Can't use it as a hair dryer! Can't use it to terrorize small children and pets! If you want to tame this beast, get a fan controller.Do people even study specs any longer?Higher cfm = sound at default speed.

This fan is a beast. I had to carry out a total fan overhaul on my case, as components have been obtaining to hot. Installed this in my case and installed a toggle switch, and my ATI HD 4870 quickly dropped five Degrees C. when the card is at complete activity. (Confirmed each by Catalyst Manage and by a temp gauge). This fan ROCKS!!! Hugely recomended but be aware, this factor also screams. Noise, but who cares with this kind of air movement. Fan is only utilized during Higher intensity gaming when the graphics card get also hot. Will practically instanly drop the temps.

The most effective 80mm fans I've ever utilized. Loud, even for a server room. Quite harsh sound. Even with the door closed you can hear these fans down the hall from our server room. I've had two of these fans running for more than a year at full RPM in a server cabinet. It feels like a hair dryer on full blast when you place your hand in front of these fans.

This fan moves a high volume of air. If you know what you're performing you can switch the 5v and 12v rails on the molex, you can slow the fan down and decrease the noise level significantly. Loud. Volume level increases exponentially if you put far more than 1 in a case. Had these for over a year, 1 day even though cleaning them I took the sticker off, and there was a Sunon sticker underneath. So I guess Vantec just resells other organizations solutions beneath the Vantec name with jump in price tag? Amazing..

Had a method that was recognized to overheat due to not obtaining case fans, the price was also fantastic to pass up so I bought this fan for it. Method in no way overheated when and air was moving by way of the case like a twister. The cost you pay for moving so significantly air, my method sounded like a vacuum cleaner. This fan is more potent than most hand driers you'd come across in a restroom and is just as loud as one. This would be a good fan for a server in an location that people do not work.If the speed was variable, it would have been great. As it is, I'm receiving a new fan but this nevertheless gets 5 stars as it is the finest air-mover you will be able to come across.

But you purchase this figuring out that so its not a con. But if you don't want to place this machine in your basement and have to shut the door upstairs to not be able to hear it, dont get this fan.

All the air flow 1 could ask for. Not truly a con but needs fan controller to tame em down. Don't suggest operating these with out one. Luckily I study other individuals warnings prior to ordering them. These points are created to do one particular point... move a lot of air. If I turn em all the way up they sound like they could push my tower appropriate off the desk.

It will move a lot of air. Doesn't matter if it turns your laptop into an icicle if your going to lose your hearing! It's 56db. Nevertheless, if your next to the fan in a NY subway and a train pulls in I bet you can nonetheless hear the fan over the train. Only way this will perform is if you place the case in another room or an additional home would be even greater.
