I live way out in the country.. between to hills and next to a swamp. My cell reception was horrible, dropped calls all the time. Had to go outside to make calls. This unit is awesome!! I put it in just into my garage and it helped. I had my nephew come and put the antenna up in the attic.. I have 5 bars most of the time. Highly recommend this booster. Make sure to get it up in the attic or somewhere for the best reception. |

This product improved our signal, it's not the strongest around but at least we can now make and receive calls inside our home instead of going to the bathroom (literally) to make calls. Verizon doesn't stand behind their talk when it comes to servicing your area very well. |

I couldn't get any service increase from anywhere in the house or on the property. Even though there are several places I can get one or two bars without the extender, there was no increase in signal strength at all and I returned the item. I have Verizon coverage and a Blackberry phone and it didn't work at all. |

I Phone problem

It must be the I Phone, my iphone will have 0-1 bars and I am standing 5 feet away from this thing. Once the phone goes into search mode it finds it and all works great but for some reason it keeps wanting to lock onto the 1 bar signal. Anyone know if there is some settings I can change in the I phone? All other phones have 5 bars all the time. |

In the right setting this is a great product. It solved all problems of cell phone reception inside the house. BUT, antenna placement is crucial for it to work properly. Mine ended up in the attic. Then you have to position the box in the house in an optimal location for it to work as advertised. Spending time to do that correctly is the key to making it function well. But it DOES work. Considering what it does, I think the price is a bit high. Otherwise no complaints. |

I first installed this on a similar horizontal plane and had really poor performance. I moved it downstairs and my signal range quadrupled. On my new, two story house I can now make a call using the antenna downstairs. Upstairs, I make my calls the same way I did previously. |

Just installed and very happy with the results. I think negative reviews may have come from folks with unrealistic expectations or who did not place the external antenna to best advantage. My neighborhood is on the fringe of reception. Barely two bars in second floor north side or outdoor deck, zero in basement and south side of house. I installed the antenna on the very top of my chimney (from the top of a 30 foot ladder where I got 5 bars.) I put the repeater on top of a shelf that placed it under the top of the stairs from 1st floor to basement (center of basement.) Now I get 5 bars in all 4 rooms in the basement and 4 - 5 bars in the first floor rooms within 15 - 20 feet of that stairway. Lots of work, but worth it. People need to understand they'll never get better signal than where they place the outdoor antenna. Sticking it in a window isn't going to be very dramatic. |

I live in a condo built of solid concrete. Had no service inside except near a window. I actually wanted to make sure it worked with my iPhone on ATT and plugged it in next to a window. It gave me 100% signal inside the whole apartment without even hooking up the external antenna. It is now behind a curtain working great! Great product. |

The first question I asked was ''Does this really work?''...yes it does! I was hesitent in buying this unit thinking it was a gimmick, it wont really work. After installing it and testing it out it works great! I work in a 9,000 sqf steel building with my office in the middle of it. I would only get 1 bar maybe on a good day, now I get 4 in my office and nothing below 2 bars in the whole shop. Buy it, dont think about it, just buy it. My .02 |

Excellent. From cell connections limited to the corner window to strong signal throughout the house. Numbers: -75dB on the roof (yes, at the external antenna, a reasonable cell signal) to -45dB in the bedroom and -36dB in the kitchen and -25dB(!) in the basement with the repeater. The phones just don't have enough bars to show the signal strength. The fellow on Tiger Direct technical support had it right - really excellent. |

My office is in a steel building and I rarely get any signal, never enough to complete a phone call. I have to walk outside to make phone calls and I often miss calls because the signal is not strong enough in my office for calls to come through. I purchased this product with some hesitation because of some of the reviews I had read. It took me about half an hour to install the antenna on the roof, where I get an excellent signal, and the base unit in my office. I now regularly get an excellent signal in my office and I haven't had any reception problems since the installation. I couldn't be more pleased with this product. |

I was a little nervous about ordering this product after reading some of the reviews. I did a little research and decided to purchase this product. I live in a small valley and on the second floor of my house the signal is great, but the downstairs signal was terrible. I mounted the external antenna on the chimney and put the indoor unit in the center of the downstairs rooms. This thing is worth every penny! Works great! Yes it is line of sight but that is how cell phones work. Trust me it works but it won't clear up the whole house from dead spots and it wasn't designed to that. |

Not terribly impressed. Although I only get one bar outside the house, the device certainly does not result in more bars inside. Further, I must be in direct line of sight of the device to get a connection. Thus, unless I'm in the same room, it's not very useful to me. |

I love, love, love zBoost! I'm in college and I live in a old apartment with concrete walls and floors. I could NEVER get service. I got so tired of standing on my bed or huddled up against the window that I changed my service from Cingular to Spring thinking it was the service. I had the exact same problem with my new phone! I didn't even know that signal booster devices exsisted. My parents were getting really mad about not being able to ever get in touch with me so they did some research and found the ZBoost. I hooked it up the easy way because 1. I'm lazy and because 2. I can't really rig something to the roof of my apartment. I just put the antenna where I get the most service in my apt (top of a window sill) and no joke, I had gained like 2 more bars instantly. Its so great not having to only call people from the road and always getting texts and voice mails. I would definately recommend this product to anyone in a similar situation. |

Believe me, it works. I bought the 1900mhz PCS model by mistake after talking to a Cingular rep and it was the wrong one for my Cingular service.(although my Motorola Razr V3 was quad band, Cingular in MS. uses the 850mhz range If your on Cingular buy the CEL model!)There's a test with your phone to make sure it's a match before you install it. Wi-Ex Inc. exchanged it for the CEL model for no charge. I just paid for shipping it to them. I picked up an extra signal bar while testing it by putting the antenna on the inside not even at a window of my brick house that's on the away side of a hill closest to Cingulars cell tower(thats going from one bar with dropped calls to two bars and no dropped calls) then I installed antenna in the attic and picked up to 3 and sometimes 5. Several guests at my house got 5 bars. I next plan to mount the antenna outdoors after I get an outside grounding kit. I've checked and Tigerdirect.com has the best price for this anywhere I've found. |

This product works! I have my antena mounted outside mid-ban on a two story facing toward the cell tower. The unit is mounted on the ceiling upside down in my basement. The bars went from at best 3 to a solid 4-5 bars all of the time! Now my cell phone is actually usable through out my entire house. Reading the other reviews, I must not have the placement right yet. I'll have to experiment with the antenna (although it's outside on the roof) and the inside unit locations. It has helped, though. We've gone from almost NO reception to at least one to two bars. Sometimes, we have 3-4 bars but it's not consistent. It does work for ALL cell phones. A friend has Sprint and commented how his phone suddenly worked great at our house.
