I Bought this Card around 3 months ago. It works like a charm.i ran a couple dozen games on it and 3d Max. Even though I have an aging PC this card totally picks up the slack and the frame rates are really good.

This card is just awesome. runs everything max settings no problem. The flagship nvidia currently GTX285 is MUCH more expensive and performs poorly next to one of these!!! for the person that said this cant play BF2 Bad Company on the lowest settings, you should have someone check your system you may have other problems!i am playing it right now on max everything 1920x1200. Great experience!!

I just recently purchase a 5850 for 319, I was not happy with this cards performance at all. I am returning this as I write this review. This card couldn't run Battlefield Bad Company 2 at the lowest possible setting, and I double checked every setting and talked to support. I was originally going to replace my 8800 with this, but my old 8800 out performs this by a long shot. I would not suggest this card to any hard core gamer. Stick with nvidia.

Cons: Huge, but what card isnt these days.

Pros: DX113 Video outputs, 2 DVI, 1 HDMI.Great support from XFX

Got this card for my new gaming rig pretty recently. Card price was right in my budget range, and definitely the best card under 400. The stock model is fine, as I easily clocked this card higher than the XXX or Black editions with no problems whatsoever. Card supports new technology like the EyeFinity and DX11. There isn't a game on the market that this card cant play maxed (if the rest of your PC is up to standards).XFX is an awesome company, nice packaging, nice warranty, and excellent product support.Very highly recommended!

Cons: Drivers

Pros: Fast and quiet
Comment:
Card itself performs exactly the way I had hoped, runs my games with all the settings on high on my TV (running at 1920x1080) and everything is smooth and looks great, can't ask for much more here. Card itself is highly quiet, doesn't make a sound when the card is at idle and is barely noticeable on full load. A great change from my Palit 8800GT Sonic. I have to admit that I never liked ATI's drivers and I still don't. Never could get a good image from the HDMI connection (when I finally did get an image, it ended up washed out) so I'm back to my DVI/HDMI cable. Strangest thing is that the image isn't full screen (to fix this, there is an option to "zoom" the desktop) and that makes you wonder just how often this problem happens on ATI's drivers since their solution is to put a zoom in there, that's a problem I never had in all my years with NVIDIA drivers. So, if you want a great card that works really well in your games and you don't mind ATI's drivers, I HIGHLY recommend you to get this card! I'll buy more of them to use in CrossFire as soon as I have enough $$$!!!

Comment:
Well it's a HD 5850 so it's a sick gaming card for 1920x1200. But you will likely never get this card as XFX is only shipping the Black version for some stupid reason. If you want a regular 5850 you'll have to buy one of the cheaper brands with poor warranties.

The Radeon 5850.. Where should I start? Apart from the fact that it has a DOUBLE LIFETIME warranty which means if you ever sell it that person has full coverage too, it is simply the most amazing card I've ever even touched.I bought this card about 2 months ago (hey, I'm horrible with time give me a break xD) and so far I have had nothing wrong with it. It comes in a pretty simple black box, and it's just a matter of pulling out the cardboard casing inside to reveal another box, with then finally contains your XFX Radeon 5850. Simple to take out as it is wrapped in the standard anti-static plastic bag, and it also contains a coupon to download DiRT 2 from Steam for free. Of course, that cost is included with the card most likely, and I do not know if it even comes with that still. It did when I got it obviously..On to the installation! The installation of the Radeon 5850 was simple. It comes with a adapter to switched 2 4 pin connectors to a single 6 pin power connector for those of us who have a standard issue 500W power supply, and so don't freak out at first when you realize you only have one six pin sticking out of your PSU! This card requires two, and comes with an adapter just in case. Along with that it also comes with a DVA to VGA convertor for those of us who have VGA monitors still, and also comes with a CrossFire Bridge Connector. Along with the manual (of course) and the other doodads that you might require. The card is about 11 and a half inches long and will fit even in a micro-ATX case (since I somehow managed that). Of course, you'll have to move your bottom hard drive UP two slots to get it in there.. and then some. Other than that you just push it into your PCI-E16 [2.0] slot and make sure that your computer is set to use the slot! For some of us who have a old motherboard (such as a ASUS P5GZ-MX which I will note at the end of this review..), make sure that your jumpers are set to use the PCI-E16 slot e whatever max multiplier it has. Connect your cords and boom! Your card is up and running. Oh, and please for the love of GOD remember to plug in those power cables. I didn't think of it for the first moment since I had an old 9500GT and never had to do that! It'll give you a horrid scream of a beep and make you think you just killed your card.On towards the perfomance! Of course, there are still some updates to be done with the CCC (Catalyst Control Center) drivers and therefore, you might get the complete performance out of it. Hopefully we will see those 9.12 drivers soon! The installation CD for those drivers obviously come with it, and so you just need to boot up your computer, log in (if required) and pop in the CD. Install, and restart. Bada-bing-bada-boom. You're done installing your card. That was perhaps the easiest thing with this card and it is the standard for all cards of course!Okay, the performance... I was only using a Pentium D 2.8GHz and I was pushing out so much power out of this thing. Also, I was using a PCI-E16 (NOT 2.0!) e x4 and still getting 40FPS out of Crysis at full everything, and x4 SSAA. This is with 4GB of 667MHz DDR2 RAM, and so if you have anything new, you're going to be pushing way more out with it. I can't wait to get those new parts I'm getting.. M4A79 Deluxe along with a Phenom II 965 Black Edition. Whoohoo! Resident Evil 4 Benchmark showed an average of 44 frames per second or more, depending if you use Supersampling anti-aliasing or not.Overall? Amazing card. Some problems if you have an old motherboard, but intelligent people shouldn't have an old motherboard like I do! It takes a lot of nerve to use my P5GZ-MX as an example for a review, but so what. Just proves it destroys everything so far!The jumpers on a P5GZ-MX have to be set to use the PCI-E16 slot, so keep that mind if you have jumpers for your slot! Otherwise, make sure it's set in the BIOS! You don't want my experience thinking that you can't use a GPU...Hope you like the review, and good luck to anyone who uses this card in their next build!- Sc00t3r

Its a great card, its played everything I've got at max settings. Its also as future proof of a purchase as you can make about now. Its one of the first dx11 cards out, and dx11 is offering some great new features. Its had zero install issues and driver support for windows 7 64bit is perfect.

This card is probably the best value on the market right now for a performance DX11 card, especially the XFX brand for their warranty. Comes with Dirt2 steam download coupon. Fan is almost silent even during gaming (if left at auto) though it can get loud if you manually crank up the fan speed.

Look at the price, and then compare this card's performance with the 5870. It's a no-brainer! This little guy will plow through anything I throw at it maxed out. Read some other professional reviews if you're not convinced. This card will not disappoint!

This card is a monster, it runs great in Win7 Ultimate x64. Been playing RE5, GoW, & MW2 on it maxed out on stock clocks. I got it for $260 & it was worth every penny. I'd definitely recommend this card to anyone who needs the upgrade.

Bought 2 of these for crossfire, works no problem after I downloaded Windows 7 driver. Relatively short card, I have no issue to install them in an ATX case.
