ZALMAN CNPS7000C-Cu 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Comment:
Cools like nobody's company.Making use of stock cooler (Quad Core2) the CPU was overheating and shutting down on a complex IDX render. Installed the CNPS7000C-Cu two and all four cores had been maxed for 2hrs and the temp never exceeded 41C. Reduce the render time by 20%. Slightly time consuming to set up on an currently built technique, but effortless none the significantly less (very minor --). Quite straightforward set up, very snug fit. Utilised higher-end paste and not the stuff that came with the CNPS7000-CU two.

This cooler keeps my cpu at 38C idle at wont go more than 63C beneath full load. Sure beats the other 3 coolers that I purchased. All the rest had my laptop shut down from overheating with out doing anything but browsing on the web. Good cpu cooler. The fan does not spin more than 700rpm, but it nevertheless keeps the cpu cool anyway. It is a little heavy but in all probability could have purchased the 120mm version and nonetheless would have match. This a single match will plenty of area on the sides.

Very good cooling capacity. Quiet fan. I installed this on a Gigabyt H55N-USB3 miniITX board, but had to reduce some fins to make it fit. Max temp running Prime95 on my OC 3GHz i5 750 was 71 deg. With stock cooler temps were 86 deg. At higher speed, the fan is quieter than the stock fan, even though still a bit noisy. Other than my needing to reduce the fins, mounting was very simple. The integrated thermal grease came in a small metal tube and was really usable. Heavy and rather huge. I have not yet attempted utilizing the variable fan speed control - rely only on the BIOS auto adjust. At regular load, the fan is not audible 񡿸 to 1600 rpm). At load, the fan goes up to 2800 rpm and is definitely audible, but quieter than the stock fan. While I had to reduce fins to make it fit my board, I am quite pleased with the outcome.

Keeps an AMD 7750 cooler than stock. But I advise using the incorporated fan speed controller to genuinely advantage from the cooling properties this heatsink is capable of. none. Would have recieved a five star rating if there weren't other products for exact same value that cool better. Really effortless to set up on an AMD system.. clips suitable to the stock mounting cage.

Incredibly quiet, simple to set up, substantially far better than cooler that came with my quad cpu, and pure copper material efficiently cools my cpu to typical temperature. Also it comes with a controller which you can manually set your fan speed. I am very happy with this item! It was kinda tricky to set up but if you read the manual you will have no dilemma, other than that it has no actual Cons. I personally think Zalman is a single of the ideal cooler companies and I highly advocate copper which is far greater than other materials

Style and capability, price. It looks fairly neat also! The included fan speed controller is flaky but usage is absolutely optional. Swapping the clip from INTEL to AMD was easy- two screws and completed. AMD Athlon X2 previously running at a ridiculous 54C idle with the stock fan. Because installation of this fan CPU hasn't gone above 40C beneath load- web surfing, e-mail, MS Workplace, audio, and video.

Good item; does just what it should. It is effective, quiet, and installs nicely. Just observe the directions. None Outstanding cooling ability and design. I'd purchase one more like this again. Installed on an AMD 4400 AM2 cpu with no issues.

Keeps my Q6600 Core 2 Quad close to 32C idle. Extremely quiet, even on higher. My energy provide drowned out the sound on full speed, so I didn't bother with the speed handle. The 775 base is surprisingly solid. Considering that it's plastic, I anticipated anything weak, but it's really strong.Cost is great. Some people said they got cut and bent some of the fins, but I didn't seriously have any challenges with that. I bent the fins a little, but they went ideal back on their personal. Pretty hefty.. Most likely wouldn't use it on a tower.I didn't even bother with the thermal compound that came with it. But then again, I develop computers a lot and I have some greater stuff handy. It has some screws to attach it to the 775 base, as nicely as a clip that will work on the 775 base and an AMD proc. I didn't fiddle around with the clip substantially, believed much more would be much better, but I couldn't effortlessly get it on so I tossed it. It has screws so... that's great adequate.None of the cons have been truly that big of a deal, and largely recognized prior to I bought it, so... 5 eggs. Started employing this comp for my HTPC with a new HTPC case, but my old cooler was an inch as well tall (Asus Star Ice), so I got this factor. It's half as tall and keeps my processor ten degrees cooler.

Cools as intended, great physical design which fits perfectly into the case, cools a bit far better compared to previous Intel stock cooler, fan controller A bit noisier than the stock cooler which I identified odd, clip assistance hard to bend down. Broke a fingernail in the method of bending it down. It would have been great if the fan was a four-pin connector so at least I could have some handle by BIOS. I don't do anything heavily intrinsic, but I would like to have a peace of mind that my CPU is at a comparatively standard temperature range.

Reduced temperature by common of 20 degrees. Effortlessly installed on AM2 Board. Actually runs more quickly than the advertized two,400rpm ±, Making use of the controller it runs at about 2550 rpm, w/o the controller it runs at 2700 rpm. Not a con but be aware that it's bigger than it looks. It's about 4 and 3Μ inches across the leading and about two and 1Κ inches deep.

Quiet and it has fan controller. It cools my core two duo by ten degrees than stock fan in its lowest fan speed. I'm really happy with it. For some reason, I can't fit this into my 775 socket albeit I use the clip assistance that comes with it. The clip help is not high enough. So I have to bend the metal so it could fit perfectly to the clip. It comes with zalman socket 775 clip help as a bonus BUT you don't need to have it at all. This product currently come with socket 775 clip help so you can just put the zalman into your storage.

Quite solid fan. Naturally configured by default for an intel processor, but is modified for an AMD processor devoid of too considerably trouble. Appears to do a considerably far better job of cooling the CPU than the stock CPU fan. It's a little noisier than the stock CPU fan that comes with the athlon 64, but when the situation is closed, nevertheless practically silent. I'm left wishing this situation had a window simply because it IS a neat hunting setup. that alone makes me pleased I didn't get the version with the LED fan, due to the fact then I'd be even a lot more unhappy about not having the window.. Utilizes the CPU bracket that comes with the processor.

Close to perfect size (not too substantial). Really quiet. Cools fine. Effortless install. none I often overclock my cpus, but in no way extremely dramatic. This cooler keeps my htpc cpu around 30 deg (usually below). Very quiet in my antec media center case. Almost covers my very first ddr slot in my giga 785g-us2h case. So I just moved sticks to slots three and four. May possibly have to eliminate heatsink from ddr if I should will need to use that slot in future.

Good cooling over my stock AM2 fan, significantly quieter as nicely. Temps when from 45ኑ C to 40ኍ, and on a very good day has been at 46 on total load. Comes with intel bracket pre-installed, but that was no biggie. What did really bring me down is when I had to invest 20 minutes attempting to get the lug connect on the other side of the processor. The screwdriver approach listed in the manual did not work so well for me. I was undoubtedly breaking a sweat by the end of this installation! Careful with those fins, I have installed a number of ZALMAN coolers and have been cut prior to. If they bend although don't be afraid to bend them back to their original positions, its no dilemma.

-Wonderful design-Quieter than stock cooler-Cools much more effectively-Noticeable drop in technique idle temp-Respectable drop in complete system load temp Wish I had bough the aluminum led version:- slightly heavy at 750grams- no led lights Proves that air cooling for high efficiency systems is not obsolete.

Cools wonderfully. I have an overclocked Athlon II x2 operating at three.two although sustaining a temperature of 23 C. Love the tool to adjust speed. Fantastic value. Came with paste, but not the cool tiny bottle with the tiny brush that they provide for its bigger brothers.Had a considerably tougher time putting this on than I had in the past with other Zalmans on AMD and Intel CPU's.....but I had been drinking a bit.Extremely loud at max settings, but you don;t need to have to run it at max.

Zalman has produced quality heatsinks and fans for many years now. It's the only aftermarket CPU cooler I trust. From my understanding it'll fit in the GD05B HTPC case I just ordered. None. This cools a fairly unassuming A64X2 5500+ in my HTPC. Does it quietly.

Following A number of years on my old Pentium D 805 this puppy nevertheless keeps it cool even when oced to three.3GHZ. The wide overhang cools memory and chipset well as long as you dont have high heat syncs on youy memory. runs really quiet when utilizing the speed control quite noisy at full speed. Very huge foot print (on some motherboards the cpu socket is so close to the power supply that you may have to slightly bend the fins to make it fit A great excellent product that has effectively preformed for its lifetime. simply because of this i will continue to purchase Zalman coolers for new systems

good size and cooling capability It is significantly louder than E7400 stock fan?!?!?!?! i had to use supplied fanmate to bring speed and noise down. I was planning on OC'ing my CPU, but with reduced speed i'll keep it on default settings. My HTPC case is five.5" tall and this is the largest fan i can fit nicely. I do recoment it for some individuals, but for quiet HTPC circumstance with low-profile case it doesn't do significantly. Hummmmming noise is toooooo loud forcing me to used fanmate to reduce fan speed and cooling capability

- fits AM2+/AM3 socket with included pin/adapter, which was not obvious from the description- tiny sufficient to fit in a uATX HTPC chassis- not as heavy as other high-finish heat-sinks, but does the job just as nicely - sharp, sharp fins. Unless you have doll hands, you will bleed - as with all Zalman heat sinks, you really feel like you're gonna break something before you finally get it latched to chassis - fan is horribly loud at normal speed - included "fan-mate" controller to control fan speeds was pretty much useless - included AM3 adapter utilizes default clips--would have preferred a custom plate with screws for far better coverage 4.5 eggs in spite of all of the cons, due to the fact 1st and foremost this is a heatsink and it's extremely excellent at it's primary job of dissipating heat. When combined with Arctic Silver paste, it never cracked 35 degrees at 100% CPU load for five hours working with just 50% fan RPM (Prime95 for load test and Xigmatek fan controller). Extremely, really good.Nonetheless, it's marketed toward HTPC use, so you'd think you'd get a top quality fan as well, but not so significantly... The included fan was *LOUD* and Zalman expects you to use the included controller to reduce fan RPMs and therefore noise. Which, had I been counting on wouldn't have worked considering that the controller in my package was either defective or it's just a **** controller. Mine was impossible to calibrate appropriately - it essentially had 2 speeds, almost off or 100%. I have a separate fan controller, so no massive deal for me, but might be for you. The controller's also not externally mountable (excpet w/ tape...) so leave it in the case or hang it out a PCI slot, I guess.

It lowers the core temperatures by a lot compared to the stock cooler. The CPU doesn't run above 50C with the Zalman cooler installed and operating on low fanspeed. Installation was slightly tricky. The screws would pop out of the clip if I created too a lot of turns on one side.
