This is my 2nd identical processor cooler for my 2nd Asus P6X58D and Intel processor. The hassle of a water cooler (expensive, weight, cost, leakage) is not vital with this air cooler. None It's quiet.

Looks outstanding. Really. Easy to install on AM2/AM3 motherboard. Strangly tends to make my 4870 card 7c cooler but not cpu. So I guess I will maintain it. But I will try something else on my subsequent make in the future. I get about the exact same temps at idle making use of stock cooler on AMD 955 cpu. I was shocked that this cooler didn't execute as very good as the stock cooler did. I nonetheless get about the very same temps at idle. I even reapplied with artic silver 5 and still same results. I was acquiring about 37c stock cooler and now I'm acquiring 39c! I got 120mm fan on front of situation and 120mm fan on back of case. Zalman fan lines up perfectly with back situation fan and blows air out the back of the case alot more. I figure out why it isn't greater temps. Possibly I really should of went with Zalmon 9700 or a thing with varible fan manage. I'm using Asrock A780GMH motherboard, Phenom2 955 black, 4gb gskill ddr2, 120mm fan front and back of situation, XP Pro 32bit, Asus 4870, Seagate 250gb, 630w psu. Manufacturer Response:Dear Value Customer,Please contact our tech help at 714-530-0700 to support you resolve the challenge with the temperture challenge. Thank you.Sincerely,Group Zalman USA

I had another brand heatsink for my i7 875 processor. Below load it would typically peak about 63c and typical 58c. Installed the Zalman 9900ALED and playing the identical game peaked at 50c and averaged 46c. The case truly feels cooler, MB temp is lower as effectively. My CPU is in a desk which has an area to install a laptop or computer. Wife bought it for me at Christmas. The concern has been the desk has a door in front of personal computer so the only airflow is from the back of the desk. The outcomes I got with the Zalman is with the door closed. The other brand ran more than 65 with the door closed and the final results of 63c high and 58c average had been with the door open. Awesome. It's surprisingly quiet even operating 2000rpm. No noisier than my earlier cooler. Straightforward to install. LED doesn't function. Not a huge deal. Make certain you have room in you case to install it given that it's 6" high. I utilised a tape measure to measure my free space prior to ordering. I have about 1ǘ" to spare. It comes with a protective plastic cover for the fins. I cut the tabs at the bottom but left the cover in location till I was performed handling the unit. Prevents unwanted finger cuts installing it this way. Overall I'm delighted with this product. Nearly 20c lower below load even with poor air circulation. Good item.

Keeps my i7 950 at a comfy 30 degrees C. The thermal grease that comes with it seemed like a great top quality grease as properly. Plus it comes with a cute little sticker to place on your case. Aww, all Pc builders really like to place those tiny stickers on, correct? It's a little massive. But that's what makes it amazing, so it's not a con. Blue LEDs are pretty.

Great cooling for my overclocked i5-650 Running at four.2 GHz and temps. keep lower than 25c idle and 60c full load with prime 95.Runs extremely quiet when utilized with supplied resistor, I noticed no increase in tempurature utilizing it as opposed to not. The size of this point can be a challenge with smaller situations. It fits perfectly on my Gigabyte H55M-U2DH,Even with a beefy video card proper above it. I would obtain this 100 more occasions!!!!

Initial of all... wow! This thing is Massive. I didn't recognize the scale till it came in the box. Unbelievable. The develop good quality is wonderful, the appear is pretty awesome (if you're into copper), and it works as advertised.I have it hooked up to an AMD Phenom II 955 Black Box, at the moment at the stock three.two Ghz. At idle, I'm operating at 30c or below. Cranking Folding@Home work units, the temperature stays around 40c. And this is in a fairly warm room in the residence. I employed Arctic Silver to mount this beast and have been extremely happy with it. This was pointed out in a couple of other critiques, but I dismissed it as not possible or stupid user error; the blades are SHARP. Seeking at them at very first, it doesn't look so. Then the installation instructions assistance you to wear gloves. I like to assume that I'm not an idiot, but apparently they weren't kidding. Mounting the unit was no difficulty, I came away unharmed. BUT... routing cables around the cooler although already in the situation proved damaging. I came out with a good row of bloody cuts on one particular of my fingers. Be careful! Pretty. Blue. Copper. What's not to like?

superb cooling! this plus arctic silver dropped my phenom x2 quad core, whilst under load, down to 45c from 70c! 70c was my typical although playing WoW and blasting pandora. its not alot quieter than my stock cooler, but i had to use speedfan to manage my stock cooler so it wasnt continually running at 5k rpm. this runs 2k tops and is quieter. this is a really substantial fan and fits nicely in my total tower, mids ought to almost certainly keep away or take quite excellent measurements. the amd clip thingy was somewhat annoying to put in, but once i pulled out one of my gpu's and got the clip going the suitable way it went in simply, not zalman's fault. often im jealous of the intel i7 cpu's but when i saw all the different brackets needed for multiple intel cpu's i was glad i had the tiny metal bracket amd cpu :)

This issue is massive! Will fit a Gigabyte X58A-UD3R motherboard. Comes with all the mounting hardware and also a tube of heat paste. Dropped my Intel Core i7 960 @ 3.2Ghz temperature to about 40-42 degrees celcius. Price tag isn't as well negative. Great blue LED. Easy to install. If you need to have to read the directions, they are straightforward to read and stick to. None. Be cautious when you install the HSF. The copper blades are sharp. I am not joking when I say this point is big and heavy!

Good appear, uncomplicated install for amd, comes with fantastic thermal and plenty of it, big comparability with brackets, and is so substantial it blocks off ram It basically can\'t execute against accurate efficiency coolers like the silver arrow, but has a much better price tag point and appear (in my opinion)judging from look, install for Intel processors may be hell Some have mentioned the fins are sharp adequate to cut, though i had no complications.all in all a excellent cooler for the price!

Really quiet, very fantastic cooling capacity - keeps my Corei7 920 quad-core processor at comfortable 60-63 degrees C - about 30 degrees lower than the Intel stock one running a gruesome Prime98 test for over an hour. Highly recommended! If you are rplacing a stock cooler most likely you would have to get rid of the motherboard as the holding panel has to be attached by screws from the bottom side of the motherboard. Instalation calls for about 14 cm ƕ 1ǘ") from the CPU to the case cover, so you have to have a reasonably wide tower situation to install this cooler.

Excellent quality copper, good solid design. Does what is advertised. Have not OC'd with this yet, but am confident it will be really useful. Style has sharp edges, I cut my hand on it installing it. You should install the mounting bracket prior to installing the motherboard (don't make the exact same mistake I did). The fan appears low cost, not confident how hard it would be to replace it, but was not pleased with the fan. Lost 1 egg for these two things. This issue is massive!!! Looking at it from my view port it looks larger than my 470 GTX. I listed additional cons than pros, but am happy with my buy.

Installs simply and does specifically what it says. It's as major or bigger than a softball in diameter, but that's possibly why it performs so excellent. If you don't have a full tower situation or an additional-wide case you'll run the risk of this not fitting. It's 120mm fan, but with the heat pipes it sticks up another inch or so off the board. Wish they would use one thing other than blue LED's in this model. Everyone utilizes blue, what's with that?

Great fan! Lots of cooling power. Also quite impressive hunting if you have a clear situation. Installation is effortless (This is the 2nd comp i've built). Another pro, you also get to save the fan that comes with the processor as a backup. CPU has been staying at about 80-100F @ 1962rpm. Even while playing WoW at max setting Fins are super sharp. Be particularly careful when handling.

Quiet when running most of the time. (Not during anxiety testing, but that's to be expected.)Created of copper, considerably superior heat dissipation. Fan ramps up fairly nicely for the price tag.Operating Asus P7P55D-E Pro, i5 750 ƒ.67) @ 3.eight None seriously. You require to pull the cover and clear/clean the fins just about every month or two or it starts to get dust "webbing" on it. Obtain it.

Believed this CPU cooler would be tiny from hunting at the pics, on the other hand when I really got it I laughed out loud at how comically enormous this factor is. In any case, I was glad given that it looked effectively made and it keeps my CPU decently cool. If I wasn't so paranoid of leaks, on the other hand, I'd go with the Corsair H70. None, other than the size of this factor will make you laugh Make positive your situation is large adequate for this monster =p

Pure cooper which is huge plus over the brands and models. Now idling at 36C and at full load now at 61C instead of Intel's heatsink which got as high as 84C prior to stopping pressure test None Easy install, understandable of removing motherboard to install backplate, this issue is large. Fan LED is noticeably slightly shaking in the corner of the eye. But an easy modification.

Ultra quiet. The only noise my program makes is the hdd clicking away and the vid card fan. Overall temp drop was about 10 degrees. Idles at 29 and complete load is at 41 C. Fairly incredible! The issue is large. At fist glance I was sure I had to return it. Immediately after some tinkering around I realized that it fit, albeit snuggly. Had to get rid of some wires and vid card to get it in. I had to switch gloves about 2 occasions due to my old fan and the new one particular cutting the hell out of them. Far better the gloves than my fingers, although. I even tried my hardest to not touch the blades and hold the fan from pipes. Stock thermal grease is fine. Who cares about arctic silver. My 1st fan install on my 1st method. Rather proud of myself :)Process:AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE three.four ghzAsus GTX460 1GB1 TB WD hdd6 gb patriot ram

Usable on a lot of various sockets.Push and pull heat diffusion style.Copper.Good and quiet.Major.It's not free of charge, but effectively worth the price. Large - some situations may well not match it. Make certain to measure, becoming that it is a tall 120mm design it can sometimes be a tight fit.As with any heatsink it takes a whilst for the thermal paste to set, although apparently longer for their special Zalman paste (when compared to Artic Silver), with equivalent overall performance. It's not no cost, but nicely worth the value. I'm working with this heatsink to cool my Q6600 ʃ. GHz. Comparing it to my older Zalman 9500, exactly where it ran at 48C at regular fan speeds and 30C at full speed this 9900 runs at 30C idle fan speeds and haven't bothered manually increasing it due to the fact its auto process functions great. This is utilizing the Zalman thermal paste.. I may possibly attempt switching to Artic Silver to compare the differences. Correct off the bat the Zalman ran a lot hotter then the AS does at initial, it was sitting at about 48C idle and soon after about 2-three weeks of setting it cooled to a staggering 30C. You don't normally see a drop making use of AS like that, so I'm not sure if that's frequent. General overall performance is excellent. Working with Prime 95 I haven't observed the temps go above 36C and the fan isn't even at peaking speeds. A worthwhile buy.

I have my Q9550 @ three.4GHz with 1.28v, and this heatsink under no circumstances lets it get hotter than 62 C below complete load. Idle temps are about 40 C (even much less on a cold winter day in SO CAL)Its quite quiet, and I got it to match into my Apevia Jupiter case with a door deal with that juts inward above the heatsink. The mounting bracket for socket 775 motherboards arrived broken. A single of the tiny nuts held within the bracket (for screwing down the heatsink to the bracket) fell out because it is only held in by melted plastic. I had to search my carpet floor and the box for the missing screw which I ultimately discovered. The nut would not remain in given that given that the melted plastic holding it in was already compromised, so I resorted to cautiously super-gluing it into the bracket, trying not to get glue into the nut itself. I let it dry and finally got the heatsink mounted.Mounting the heatsink immediately after fixing the bracket was a discomfort. The fins are so big that they block your hand and screw driver from very easily screwing it in.The fins cut my hands many instances and drew blood. Be careful! The thermal grease is super thick, so have entertaining spreading it and possibly making a mess like I did.The fan makes a slight ticking sounds, but only if my case door is off and my ear is within a foot away. Having it arrive broken was a huge downer. Fixing and mounting this point was the greatest pain I ever had with making a personal computer. It took me more than two hours to get it securely mounted. Had it not be performing so well appropriate now, I would have returned it in a heart beat.I would possibly not buy this once again. Possibly the 92mm version would have been much easier to place in. I must have bought the H50 or H70 from Corsair, but I'm keeping this right after all of the challenging operate.Again, it keeps my temps low, it's quiet, and it's working soon after a small bit of glue slapped on. Thus, I give it a 4Ǜ overall.
