I won't waste time saying how amazing this thing is, just look at the spec's. Take note my case has many fans in it and is big!Idle times: 18 - 22 Degrees.During Games: 25 - 35 degrees. With my stock cooler I was always 30 or 35+ idle or not.Madness how low this thing keeps the cpu. Zalman's stuff has yet to disappoint me.

This cooler is a should buy, esspcially for the lga 1366 socket processors (which are recognized for running hot), with out load and with the turbo off it keeps my i7 920 operating at ㅖc! considerably superior from the last cooler I had that kept it at ㅥ-50, this is way worth the investmentas an added bonus it came with thermal paste... sweet! its large, make confident you have the case space the core i5 and i7s are known for running hot and can take the heat, but these preserve it at a reasonable temp all the time... who requirements water cooling when you have a zalman heat sink like this.

I utilized 1366 brackets on a Gygabyte X58A-UDR3 and i7 940. Following the manuals guidelines for socket 1366, I had no troubles whatsoever. Some reviewers mentioned it was a discomfort or may well be a pain to do so. It was about five methods, at the most. Not difficult if you stick to the directions. Effortless to comprehend. The paste it comes with appears to be fantastic. I booted up with 30C, stay about 30-35 idle. Moderate load (some gaming such as Dead Space and a couple of others with settings maxed) stays about 40C. Havent place the CPU beneath a max load but with the way its going so far I would expect around 70C. With this and five new 120mm exhaust fans and 3 new 120mm intakes...I retain the Pc on a leash so it doesn't fly away. I replaced my asus mobo with a gygabyte cos it died and ended up breaking the affordable intel cooler for the duration of installation. I utilised it anyway cos im a moron and the CPU jumped to 110C and shut the Pc down. Got this cooler in a Thermaltake MozartTX (the big 1) and I still have two.5 inches from cooler to side panel! Big case!

34C drop in temps from the horrable stock "heat sink" from Intel.I was afraid to place any load on my i7 950 mainly because it was hitting 84C just by installing software program! Soon after installing the 9900 I transcoded a video with all 8 "cores" firing and the i7 never ever got passed 49C for 20 minutes (on a cold day at the beach). This is the third Zalman heat sink I've owned, each and every larger than the final all have performed a good job. none I was thinking of venturing into water cooling immediately after reading how hot the i7 can get, but I believe the point is mute.

Quite good cooler, keeps my i7-950 at about 30C. A single of the very best air coolers out there for the income spent. the 1336 plastic mount was horrendous. Had to take away access plastic from one particular of the ports and the screws kept popping out. Additional of a molding screwup. If your case is massive sufficient to hold it and you're utilizing an air cooler, this is the way to go

Incredibly quiet. Really effective. Just a wonderful cooler for my i7 processors. This is my forth 1 of these - I use them on each and every build now. Fins are sharp. The non-LED version never seems to be accessible but I'm prepared to place up with the bling for this type of efficiency! Effortlessly my favorite cooler for i5 and i7 CPUs!

Though I strayed far from the pack - I still can constantly go back to Ol' Faithful... ZALMAN! I've owned this cooler for approx 2yrs. and I nonetheless identified myself making use of it more than once again. Zalman tends to make fantastic merchandise, and I will back them one hundred%. This cooler has excellent possible and it does the job quite effectively, and especially on an AMD method. Also, the way it's pionted adds way added air flow to the program with bring cold air in from the front, and pushing hot air out the back. Fans need to spin at greater RPM's... at least 2200-2300. I believe every person can agree on that. They ought to make a 135mm or 140mm fan to go in the middle.

It's practically silent, it keeps my CPU at a low 25-8C, and it appears ridiculously cool. Size I suppose, while I had no difficulties with my NZXT Apollo paired with my GA-EP45T-USB3P. If you can afford it, purchase it. Make certain it'll fit in your case and not block any essential locations of your mobo.

Very quiet, reduces a lot of heat from the cpu, simple to set up on a AM2+/AM3 motherboard. None actually, could be alittle large for some instances that have a side fan but it match in my mid-case with ease. I matched this with a AMD Phenom II X6 ʂ.eight due to the stock cooler from AMD getting trash. I went from 45c idle to 35c idle, and I even tested this undesirable boy out a bit with prime 95. I let prime 95 run for 20-30 mins, and the cpu heat seemed to stabilize at about 47-48c(Keep in thoughts it is the winter season). Nevertheless, I am really impressed by this factor specifically when comparing it to my i7 920 machine with a Thermalright Ultra 120 Exetreme.

Excellent cooling ability. Wonderful item accept for the adapters ( read cons) The adapter for the 1366 i7 cpu's is horrible. I had to take away and then replace the motherboard three times. The tiny nut in the black plastic addapter kept falling out when i attempted to screw the steel adapter that holds the cooling heatsink onto the cpu head into spot; it attaches to the black adapter that screws into the motherboard. Also the black adapter that screws into the motherboard is really challenging to screw in as well... THE ADAPTERS ARE Quite Really hard TO Function WITH!!!

Excellent cooler, brought my temps down a lot and attractive style. Not as great of functionality as the 9700. I have two machines with Q6600s in identical situations. the 9700 seems to cool better than this a single. Efficient CPU cooler, blue fan light, and actually cool hunting (pun intended). Includes hardware for fitting a wide range of processors. Easily fits in the Antec 900 case. The cooling radiator has extremely sharp edges. I slashed my finger quite fantastic when I was installing a video card. Keeps my i7-950 at 35C when the bare method is idle and at 33C when Win7 x64 is idle. The installation is a bit tricky, so I advise seeking at the installaiton video on Zalman's Web web site.

Amazing cooling resolution that is barely audible. It is a bit pricey for a heat sink but it's absolutely worth it if you absolutely should have a quiet machine. Can be sharp! Honestly it shouldn't be a challenge for most but I was dumb sufficient to get a papercut-like laceration from 1 of it's copper fins. Again, it's challenging to cut your self on it but the ever vigilant "better idiot" can come across a way. Satisfyingly heavy.

* Super quiet for such a Major machine!* Does a very good job keeping my AMD Phenom II X4 965 cool.* Involves all the mounting hardware and thermal grease you need to have.* Nice snug fit onto CPU.* Quality-built item! All copper stovepipes and fins.* Fashionable! Really like the Blue LEDs! Matches completely with my Lian Li K-62 case LEDS and Asus mobo.* Tends to make for a beautiful mobo Xmas ornament! * It's a Massive sucker! Glad I have a big case to house it!* Mounting to AMD CPU is a tiny difficult, but no big headache.* Didn't come with a free of charge AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition CPU. Zalman makes fantastic stuff, period! The Zalman 120mm two-Ball Low-noise CPU cooler is no exception (I'm sooo glad it's 2-ball! I'm just gushing with manly pride!). Anyway, it's a effectively-designed cooler, and works in tandem with my case's back vent fan and front intake fan in a push-pull configuration. This makes for superior air flow inside the case and promptly evacuates any heated air that would otherwise make up and remain inside the case. Due to the fact I have only employed this cooler in a new build, I have no comparative temp numbers to offer you, but I can tell you that overheating when overclocking has not been an concern thus far. If you do choose to get this Zalman behemoth, be positive you have a big enough case to give it a lot of headroom. The Lian Li K-62 case that I utilised for my build was certainly best for this cooler. My seven-year-old son was stoked when he saw this cooler and how it looked mounted in the case. But, it's much more than just a show fan. It's a worthy workhorse as nicely. Get 1!

Excellent performance, low noise compared to stock cooler operating at full speed. Great temps. with stock cooler my temps have been about 47 idle to 85 full load on prime95 for 3 hours. which was at stock specs for my Q6600 G0. However now im running my Q6600 at 3.52GHz 鷸x8) and my temps nonetheless are amazing with this point, 21 idle and under full load Prime95 for three hours never went of 52. Absolutely nothing, this thing is amazing. Quite tricky acquiring this factor safe to the motherboard, but when it was on its solid, no worrying about its safe mount.

Cool blue glow looks good. Quite impressive-searching style as well. The little resistor that they incorporate to lower the fan's RPM is a great idea and functions effectively!Good and quiet. Does NOT block any RAM slots! Making use of an ASUS M4A89TD Pro/USB3 motherboard. Value. I bought this point at ฿, suitable prior to the value shot up. Not confident if I'd spend ๑ for it with no taking a look at other coolers in that price bracket.Flimsy fan mounting. When the fan is at higher RPMs, the fan hub wobbles to-and-fro a bit, as if it's pulling forward and the bracket can't maintain it very nonetheless. Not a problem for me mainly because I use the resistor harness and the issue isn't present then, but nonetheless a style flaw. The resistor idea is brilliant and I'll most likely often use it, but it shouldn't be needed to hold the issue still. Keeps my Phenom II x6 1090T at 30-33 Celsius when I'm not performing something. Overclocking to three.7 Ghz and running Prime95 I was able to push the temp up to 57 Celsius but still couldn't hear the cooler over my case fans and GPU fan. Quite impressed! I haven't used the stock AMD cooler so I can't examine the two. Also, I utilised Arctic Silver 5 so I can't comment on the compound that Zalman includes.Right here's my setup:Antec 1200 case (fits this cooler with ample area to spare),ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 motherboard,G. Ability Sniper RAM (You can use a lot larger-profile RAM with this cooler and MB mixture, possibly even match a RAM fan array without having interfering with the Zalman),AMD Phenom II x6 1090T CPU.

Replaced the stock cooler on my AMD BE 965. Load temps went from 65 C down to 47 C. Fan is barely audible. I am extremely, extremely happy with this cooler. Copper fins are very sharp, making installation a tiny difficult. Size could be an issue for these with smaller sized situations. I installed this on a Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5 motherboard. I was worried that I could have troubles fitting this in with the RAM sitting so close to the CPU, but it cleared the RAM with no issues. You could not be capable to fit a big RAM heat sink with this installed even though. Also match in my Antec 902 case extremely effortlessly.

Full Copper is a plus! It comes with a fan speed resistor but who would truly use this? Cooling more than noise. Go get yourself a headset if you don't want to hear the fans in your case. Weighing in at 730g!Fins of heatsink at so extended that installation is a EPIC fail. Be weary of cuts and tilting of the heatsink during installation on Intel CPUs.Nasty mess of a thermal GREASE if you move the heatsink also considerably throughout screwing. I have but to test the functionality due to RMAing of the ASUS Sabertooth x58 Mobo
