This thing is hot! Appreciate the black fins. I got the red fan, I can't stand blue lights in my Pc anymore they are so depressing, and ugly. Actually quiet.I have an Intel 920 two.6 @ 3.2ghz for awhile now, was operating around 56-60c idle now I'm running at a cool 38-40C idle, working with IC Diamond Thermal Paste. No way was I going to use the junk paste they supplied. None! It is a tiny big, but that is to be expected, read reviews, specs, videos, and make confident it can fit in your case. I'm making use of an Antec 1200 and I have about threeǚ to 1 Inch clearance from the window of the case.

Good design, appears great, and keeps my CPU extremely cool. This thing is major. I had to remove 1 of my side case fans from my Cooler Master Storm case just so it would fit. The directions were a little unclear. I had to study a single step many instances to fully grasp what the heck they had been talking about. They mentioned to use ALL the thermal grease in the syringe which I did, and it created a mess.. I didn't believe it required THAT considerably... Only took 1 egg off for the messy thermal grease. It seriously is a nice CPU cooler. I have purchased Zalman coolers for years and they are prime notch.

WOW. nuf mentioned. but seriously, this issue is running my overclocked AMD quad core ʃ.six GHz, and its at room temp. WOW. installation of the brackets was a discomfort, almost 2 hours. still, performance was worth the hassle. not for the noob.

ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-R 135mm Long life bearing CPU Cooler Red LED
Cons:- Loud- Red LED is not bright enough.- Installing is a pain.

Pros:Cools the computer consistently.
Comment:
Purchased it when it was on sale. This fan kept my computer under 40 degrees when gaming and below 30 degrees when idle consistently, which is great. But I had many problems with it, such as the fan being too loud, that its even louder than my stock fan, only able to see the red LED light in the dark, and having to need more than 2 people to install the fan into the case due to its size and shape.

Cons:a pain in the a** to installsome may find it loud

Pros:cooler cpuable to overclock higherlooks cool
Comment:
I bought this after owning my current build for a year and a half. I regret not getting a cpu cooler sooner as my i5 2500k temps would easily get to the 90C's with the stock cooler and a 4.2GHz overclock. Buying this cooler on sale for the same price as a Hyper 212 was worth it as I was able to get a stable OC of 4.5GHz with the cpu temp maxing out at 76C with Intel Burn Test and using 1.38V (I got a "bad" i5 2500k cpu). I tried desperately to install this cooler without removing the motherboard, but that was simply not possible. I have five case fans as well as the fans on my video card, and this cooler is by far the loudest fan in my system, even louder than the stock cpu cooler. I have not tried to use the "fan reducing speed" attachment though, but I would imagine that would cut down the volume somewhat.

Comment:
Dropped my cpu temp down about 20 F vs stock soon after over clocking. Appears good, properly made and uncomplicated to install. I can't truly pressure how well this cooler installs when compared to some of the other coolers on the industry. LOUD! This cooler is advertised as quiet option but its undoubtedly louder than the stock cooler. To be fair I am operating this without the resistor to cap the fan rpm. I do have the motherboard regulating the speed and even at about 60% its about 4x as loud as the stock cooler. The led on this fan is also a bit dim. I was hoping for bright and vibrant color but all you actually get is a little dim band close that is vibrant at the center and really dim on the blades. I was really concerned with the size of the cooler and if it would fit on the ASUS Rampage III due to numerous of the capacitor locations. Immediately after putting the bracket on the back of the board I was delighted to uncover that there was a lot more than sufficient clearance. This cooler is also perfect for men and women who would like to run ram cooling but have clearance difficulties with heat sinks that have attachable fans.

Cools like a liquid cooler. The air coming out of my case feels cold!Adore the look- like a steampunk butterflyDidn't use the RPM resistor and nonetheless is not louder than any other laptop I've had. If you aren't applied to air cooling, I guess it may possibly seem loud, but it's just background fan noise, not as loud as some evaluations made me think it was going to be. Set up was a pain and a half. Make sure an individual with tiny hands aids you. Don't stick to directions and use the whole tube of thermal paste- the paste is runny and will drip out if you aren't cautious. It's large, I love the appear, but it's not for a small case. I've got a mid-complete tower full ATX case and it's fine for me, but actually, it's enormous.I wasn't certain about removing the CPU brackets as it tends to make the CPU a little challenging to seat, but I did and the ice cold cpu is what I have to show for it, so no con there.

Cons:Does not fit on AMD MOBO

Pros:Would be nice if I could install and try it out
Comment:
I couldnt install it on Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 MOBO. Faulty brackets and screws are too short. AMD users need to do research for this cooler. I give it 1 star.

WOW this issue kicks the h50's to the curb. Saw temps drop 10C at idle and 5C at full load. 25C at idle 55C at complete load operating prime 95 for a couple hours. keeps my i7 950 ʃ.8ghtz running cool and steady. Replaced a leaking H50 that thankfully only took a wlan card with it. im not a finicky person with the noise but on complete load its a bit loud for silent machines but i would rather efficiency over silence.

Beautiful and good nickel plated cooler with a not so bright red fan to annoy you even though gamming or watching a movie.Shocking But it cools much better than my older corsair h50 water cooler with push and pull fans with about five degrees. Also goes ideal with the haf 932 case wich most of use commenting here have. Could have greater directions and greater set up of installment . As well install it on your motherboard i assume its superior to have it out of the case for ideal installment.Second if you need to have help google the video on how to install if you dont wanna hassle.

Looks great in my case, definite eye candy. The install isn't also tough, though it was much easier with an individual helping me. Definitely keeps my Phenom II x4—overclocked to four.1GHz—cool at a low 30 degrees Celsius at idle and 47 degrees at complete load. Quiet as properly. The fan is a small dim. Didn't use the thermal paste that came with it, I utilised Arctic Silver five.

Cooling Capability.. E8400 Wolfdale Intel Oc'ed to four.0Ghz.. employed to Load ᥇-76c under prime. Now loads at 41c!! (Cpu surface temp not core temp.. w/ a 66f room temp)-Big sufficient to take care of a fantastic amount of heat but the style is such in a way have been it didn't interfere with my memory slots or the heat sink on the mobos voltage regulators.-Considering that the fan is so massive it pulls so much air, that now my Gfx card runs like 5-10c cooler lol.-As opposed to other aftermarket sinks.. this one comes with a 4pin/pwm fan so that your mobo can set a precise rpm in accordance to the Cpu temp.-If you have a case with a clear side panel that's sitting subsequent to your monitor... You WILL be spoiled. -It said somewhere in the manual that you have to get rid of the cooler if you transport your tower.. I 1st believed that due to the fact of it's shape & design that this wouldn't be a problem but I guess since of it's size, that this is the case.-Mines did not come with a plastic film thin cover on the bottom of the sink (wasn't scratched but kind of annoying polishing the sink for dust just before putting in it on the Cpu)-Truly really wish this fan came in green ;)-The installation time for this cooler is negated by it's sheer performance I got this cooler mainly because I can run WoW at a continuous 60fps on Ultra settings when Overclocking my CPU to four.0Ghz but ᥁-68c surface temps on stock cooler, I was worried about the length of life on my cpu as nicely as the reality that I couldn't overclock any further to set shadow quality to ultra LOL.Out of the three-4 days of going by way of like 20 or additional unique coolers on Newegg and reading their critiques on various tech web-sites.. I'm Genuinely Actually glad i chose this a single.Like the fact that at four.0Ghz.. I nonetheless have plenty of thermal headroom to truly max out this processor =)

I install this on an unlocked/overclocked Phenom II X2 550 BE (X4 B50)running at 3.5 GHtz, Gigabit 770G MBTemperature went down from 85+ celcius to barely 50 degrees at full load, though my GPU chipset is heating slightly more now, being right aside the heatsink. The piece was a real challenge to install on an already setup rig, so consider this if you have big hands and thight space in computer case. I am glad of my purchase, allows me tu run my rig at 3.5 all the time!
