USB's still work and the light nevertheless comes on, but fans dont come on. Way too pricey for a piece of junk. My wife was so satisfied that she ultimately found me a gift that I didn't return soon after Christmas and it breaks. If mfg was as concerned about creating the guts as heavy duty as the outside then probably it would of been the excellent present. It is incredibly quiet, it has quite great airflow contemplating it's powered by USB, Fits nicely in my laptop bag, fits my HP DV7 like a glove, made of aluminum to help dissipate heat, additional USB slot, speed control what much more can I ask for? LED is a tid bit bright but doesnt bother me significantly, and it's value doesn't reside up to it's hype but i'd say it's worth it thinking about how large your wallet is. -Good quality (many cooler pads use low cost plastic and/or have cheap power cords)-Size - Fits my 18.four" Toshiba Qosmio-Adjustability (many other pads have 2-3 speeds, this one has a large variety)-Sound (I can't hear it on max setting, my laptop fan is louder) -Air throughput - At it's expense, ratings, and testimonies I've noticed I was expecting much better air flow. It performs well, but I would have liked far more air for my gaming machine. All-in-all I can't complain. I've went through 9 cooler pads for my laptops (most affordable junk from Walmart) that had issues with durability and cheap power cords (had to replace three simply because of poor soddering on the O/I switch). This 1 looks promising to last the life of the laptop.

Cools adequate judging from the air flow out of the laptop heatsink. Extremely quiet. Effortless to use. I essentially leave my laptop on it all the time. (my model has a history of video failure)I have had this 4 months. A small heavy, but that comes from the excellent build. It's tough to steer clear of some weight, whilst nevertheless supporting a 17" lappy. I like the angle of the keyboard greater with the cooler than with out.Now, if they add some quality speakers, I'll upgrade.

Nice strong aluminum make that provides a good tilt to the laptop. Is one of the ideal at lowering temps...a good chilly aluminum location to put your laptop for operating lengthy periods. The noise is minimal, but does exist, and it's good to have an adjustable wheel to vary the noise level for when you don't need to have the cooling. Two USB for powering from either side, wonderful. Fits my ASUS 16" fantastic...could almost certainly manage a 17" but any bigger would not be optimal.The rubber stops are nice, but I actually didn't have a issue with slipping given that my laptop already had rubber lifts on bottom. None...don't buy plastic, purchase aluminum. It's not genuinely meant to travel...so, it's not specifically made to slip into a backpack. The bottom portion is made of plastic...but I believe it would be pointless to make it of anything else. It's not meant to be moded.

Sleek, and I like the weight to it. My laptop has in no way slipped once thanks to its massive Rubber pad at the bottom. The space for the usb cable is handy when transporting itThis issue is silent as can be, even at max speed my laptop fan tends to make far more noise then it. Higher quality solution (It's a Zalmann) and it works like a champ. My 17" inch Alienware fits like a glove and it doesn't slide off. I need to have purchased it first off rather than attempting much less high priced models and brands that are now tossed aside or gutted for fans. Pricey, but now that I have it, I wish I had bought 3 other a single ago. Make confident you purchase the aluminum case ones, Zalmann tends to make some cheper ones made out of plastic and they remind me of the ones I just threw away.

This thing is way also cold. It nearly freezes my legs when I use it! It is somewhat noisy on loud settings, but if you're gaming (this laptop is intended for gaming laptops), you shouldn't be capable to hear a thing. Also this cooler is so cold (thanks to the aluminum) at times I overlook to turn it on because it is so cold currently. The LED was DOA so the only way I can tell it's on is by turning up the fan to max and listening, or simply putting my hand below the cooler. Great design, very good angle, extremely quiet. Severely underpowered. Through a week of continual usage, it only cooled my laptop by about 1-2 degrees.... undoubtedly not sufficient to warrant it's price. If your laptop runs hot and you want to considerably cool it down, then this really isn't the solution for you. If you care about your laptop cooler being quite quiet, then this is a fantastic alternative, but don't expect it to cool a lot. If there wasn't an LED light, I wouldn't know that it was on at all. I don't truly care about the volume of the fans, and would significantly choose functionality, which is not what this solution supplies.

I purchased this for my Asus G51j-A1 wasn't gonna purchase a cooling pad at all till i read testimonials about the laptop so did some study and decided on this one. Glad I did this cooling pad is incredibly effectively constructed made from aluminium assists dispense the heat correctly and it's genuinely genuinely quiet even on max settings i had to check the light to make positive it was on even then i had to look at the fans to make certain they have been actually moving. I was on the fence about obtaining 1 for my Studio XPS 1640, Went I noticed it did get very hot after about an hour of use I decided to go for it. I'm definently glad I did, its extremely quiet and I can leave my personal computer on as extended as I want without having it even acquiring warm.Works quite effectively with the Studio XPS 16! Get it! =P That it was 10 dollars cheaper a week immediately after I purchased it =P Other than that nothing at all ɛ Newegg had it to me in 2 days

Does what it should: My Acer 5100 runs cooler and its fan is on less usually and at reduce speeds. The underside of the Zalman could use some function. It is not comfy to place on your lap (I interpose a pillow), and you can scratch a wood table with it if not careful when setting it down.

Great cooler! Has variable speeds even though when it's on higher you can hardly hear it. It operate's so nicely my lap started to get cold whilst working with it! Dropped a Toshiba laptop's idle operating temperature by 15 degrees C! none whatsoever A ought to have for any laptop!
