Mini-ITX with PCI-E x16Mini-PCI-E Slot with wifi moduleAtheros Wifi Card is good with LinuxBuilt In HDMI w/ audio assistance A single antenna just doesn't reduce it with the wireless card. I'm employing this with a two.5" 80GB Seagate drive for a streaming and XBMC machine installed on Ubuntu. With an Intel Celeron E3300, 1GB of DDR2 667 and using the on board graphics this small machine hums away. I had to add a second antenna to the WiFi card, and I haven't had any concerns with it.

The specs state that this is a dream MOBO. It had every thing I was searching for. 32 bit driver driver issues, If I utilized 64bit OS forget it.Black screen, no show of any type (hdmi, dvi or vga). BUT BOOTS on Protected MODE. I installed XP then vista and the very same issue. "Black scree". Fashed the bios identical problem, Black screen.I Spent three hours with tech-assistance (they had been good) before they declared the Mobo useless.Returned the item (with my own expenditures) and decided to go for one more Mobo. Don't get tempted by the price tag since you will end up paying shipping fees when you return it. Excellent luck if you gedice to get it anyway.

Cheap, fantastic selection of ports. Mini PCI-e WiFi is nice for the capacity to swap cards, although capability to accept complete size Mini PCI-e would be good. DVD Drives DO NOT function when the SATA mode is set to AHCI. I have gone via three boards and all have had this problem. I can only assume the BIOS is faulty.Until Zotac addresses this the board has limited utility in my HTPC case.

Excellent for an HTPC board or SFF server. Lots of RAM if wanted, built in HDMI, eSata and wifi. Wireless sucks. Two boards, 4 antennas ... still can't get a signal from more than 20ft from my WAP. Slow even when sitting subsequent to the router, other systems have no troubles in my property ƕ bars and solid transfer prices).Calls for CD offered video drivers for the HDMI to operate properly. Windows update drivers black out HDMI.No BIOS upgrade as of but. Flaky devices on both of the boards I've gone by means of unless you use CD offered drivers. Wireless (again) efficiency is poor.Only a single expansion slot (which isn't bad, but thinking of the video and wifi concerns this board has ... you can enhance one particular or the other, take your pick).DO NOT UPDATE THE BIOS (as of these days there is only a single update readily available). It will fry your board, you have been warned. I attempted to upgrade the BIOS per Zotac forums to strengthen wireless on the initially board ... the board refused to boot. Then once again, the wireless worked just as good when the board was dead as when it was functioning I've run Windows XP, 7, Ubuntu and ESXi four on this board. Efficiency of the Windows OS's are the similar. Windows Updates break video for HDMI and the wireless overall performance is really poor. Ubuntu runs fine, wireless has poor overall performance.Only board that I could locate in SFF with 8gb of RAM capacity. Method does what I want it to, but would have been a huge bonus if the onboard wireless worked. I'll likely rip it out and drop a dedicated wifi card in ... for now I have a 50ft cat6 cable operating to the machine.I'm content with the buy, but I'll be searching somewhere else in a couple of years (or when this board goes out). I'm hoping that Zotac releases an update to resolve the video/wireless troubles but for now it does what I want.

I built a mini-ITX program with this motherboard due to the fact it had the functions I was searching for. I installed the following:A 65 watt Intel E8500 3.16 GHz processorATI Radeon 4650 PCIe graphics cardGeIL 4GB of Black Dragon RAM ƒ X 2GB sticks)Windows 7 Home PremiumA variety of other hardware, like tricky drive, fans, and so forth. Both the Wired LAN and the Wireless WiFi worked correctly. It was an straightforward set-up with Win7. I installed the chipset drivers that came on a CD with the motherboard. They worked with Win7.This motherboard operates nicely for me. None, truly. I'm a satisfied camper. Anything about the motherboard and the BIOS I don't comprehend that permits Windows to recognize only 3GB of the 4GB of RAM installed. In other 32 bit systems I have built, Windows recognized at least three.5GB, and at times a tiny more. So, I don't know what is diverse about this technique. I recognize that a 32 bit system reserves RAM for other resources, and as a result Windows never ever recognizes the complete 4GB of RAM installed. No huge deal. I'm content.

Core two Duo Quad assistance, 8GB RAM support, PCI Express two. x16, built in wireless and HDMI video. Only supports CPUs on there list. Had to RMA the first 1, but love the board. Built a system with this board as a media/game/extra Computer. I love the size with the Thermaltake Element Q situation. The size of a shoebox. I added a nvida 220 low profile card and it runs great! Greater than a Mac Mini!

Small size for HTPC. Low Energy. Low Value. Simple setup with Win 7 Mini PCIe port only takes half size cards.Apparently, Zotac isn't expecting everyone to use this port for anything other than the included WiFi card. Due to the fact I was utilizing this for an HTPC, I wanted to replace the WiFi card with a Broadcom CrystalHD decoder card. Unfortunately, the Broadcom card is a full size mini PCIe card and won't match simply because of the caps and resistors which are mounted to close to the card slot.I could use a mini PCIe port extender, but that's far more than half the price of the motherboard!

I'm confident it's a fine board if you don't want to place something in the PCIe x16 slot other than a graphics card In spite of the fact that, according to specifications, PCIe x16 slots are supposed to be compatible with x1 cards, it turns out that this board does not follow specifications. Not only does it not assistance x1 cards, it doesn't assistance *any* other type of PCIe apart from a graphics card. The worst element is that you will not see this limitation listed anywhere in the product specifications. It's only listed in bold print in the manual. So you have to obtain the board just before you realize it's limitations Zotac: Please be upfront and clear about the limitations of this board. I essential the PCIe x16 slot to help x1 non graphics cards; now the board is useless to me and I'm out > 贄. Extremely frustrating and disappointing. I'm not confident I can trust any much more Zotac boards - what if they're all broken in this way?

Cost-effective dual core platform in mini itx form element. My board had obviously been opened prior to I got it from New Egg. I am guessing this is a returned unit. The wifi card crapped out following about 1 hour of operating time. A speedy bench test would not have uncovered this fault. This is probably why it was returned in the initially spot. Everything else performs and its not worth my time to send it back soon after configuring the rest of the Pc. I would have given it four-5 stars if good quality control was much better. As it is, I will likely not threat buying Zotac merchandise once again. Asus and Intel are greater bets. Price is not anything when there are hours of labor involved.

Every little thing stays quiet and cool.Would have been good to have the SATA ports along the edge of the board rather of behind the PCI-E slot, but I managed. > on-board wireless is total junk*> slim dvd drives are limited in speed> restricted OC abilitiesThe Atheros AR9285 mini PCI-e wireless card that comes with the board is an absolute piece of junk*. Driver assistance is fairly considerably non existent...Zotac has drivers offered for download but they do nothing at all to help make the factor work. Atheros is even less useful. When I finally got the adapter operating, it was slow...incredibly slow, despite displaying a connection rate of 150+. Then it would hang and lock the technique up. Went by means of every single drive I could uncover, each network setting, OS reinstall, even altered router and modem...all to no avail. At present using a USB N adapter for connection and it has worked flawlesly.*"junk" was the nicest way of saying what I genuinely felt about the WLAN adapter...Newegg filters wouldn't let what I wanted to say With the exception of the Atheros junk attached to the board, I'm satisfied with the acquire. I wanted the identical energy I had in my old tower but I wanted less noise and size. This setup sits on top of my desk along with two 22" LCDs and even with the CPU fan at 100% the noise is nearly non existent compared to the tower.

Quite low price, 5 SATA ports, eSATA, onboard HDMI, included Wi-Fi card None yet I don't know what the guy who said there is no ethernet port was smoking, but there most absolutely is 1. You can clearly see it in the photographs. This is the best board for my house server. Using it with a Celeron E3200, 2GB of RAM, 320GB laptop drive, and four 1.5TB tough drives all in a Chenbro ES34069. Brilliant machine!

Modest and function packed. ITX form element with the capacity to power a quad core lga775 cpu. The LGA 775 capability means this mobo is one particular of the most versatile in the industry, but will not be future proof with the new iX intel chips, but nobody requirements that much power in this small of form element. A lot of troubles:Bios is just about non functional out of box. Tons of GFX driver matters, installing the latest video drivers with no updating the bios triggered the machine to shed all video output. (using HDMI connection.) This is the last thing you want to come about on a HTPC.So I installed a discreet GFX card (ati 5670 a fantastic card btw) which promptly started to crash and reset, every single few seconds. This didn't happen at all on another board. Updating the Intel mobo driver may have fixed this problem.Placement of capacitors next to the CPU slot tends to make this incredibly tricky to fit a CPU heatsink with. A ton of low profile cards will not perform with this mobo, which once again defies the purpose of an ITX board. I don't know if it's to the point where I will have to RMA this board, but it's close. Don't expect a lot of stability with this board. Plan on doing BIOS updates just before installing any driver updates. I don't have any trust that this board isn't going to fail in the first six months which is a massive problem.

Fantastic price. Comes with a wireless card. HDMI output is valuable. I could not get Windows 7 to boot with ANY optical drive connected. Wireless card only utilizes a single antenna. Even though it has the capability to use two, they present only a single antenna and only one particular internal to external adapter.

I received the antenna but no card. I would get in touch with Zotac about the problem but their tech assistance is borderline on nonexistent. Took 3 months to RMA my final Zotac mini ITX board and its just not worth the hassle so I have to reside without. I am making use of this board in my HTPC along with an E1200 celeron, 1gb of ram, and a 320gb HD. Runs XP with XBMC software program. No true difficulties at all and I would be satisfied to recommend this board to anyone hunting into a mini ITX HTPC, but the Intel BOXDG45FC is only a couple of bucks far more and offers optical audio and much greater help. I give it 4 eggs only mainly because I can excuse Zotac's horrible customer service as long as their items stay strong.

Feature Packed little board. Updated bios per utility from zotac's web site. Black screened & never came back.. On leading of that before installing windows make certain you have all the drivers downloaded from zotac's website as the CD that ships does not contain any drivers created for this board. General I Can say that I will not buy a different zotac board again. this is the 2nd zotac board I have bought & The other (has a atom 330) has also had many issues. Unfortunitly zotac has the SFF marketplace saturated with there garbage. But I will be paying additional to get good quality in the future. I seriously didn't have a enormous list of demands for this motherboard since I place it into a Silverstone SG05-450; essentially it required at least a PCI Express slot, assistance for my Quad Core processor, and 3 SATA connections. Needless to say, this motherboard meets and exceeds all of that.Men and women have complained about WIFI, but I get fairly great reception rates from about 15ft away via a wall, so I have no complaints; then once again, I use WIFI far more as a last resort connection than a principal.Installation with Ubuntu 10.ten was painless. Almost everything except the graphics is on par to how it performs on Windows.eSATA is a great plus mainly because on the SG05-450 there's only adequate space for one particular full size challenging drive and a laptop size tough drive. It would have been nice if even one particular of the four SATA cables they give with this board was a appropriate angle SATA, but that's hardly anything to dock this item for. I don't believe any person who purchases this board is seriously going to use the onboard GPU. It's excellent sufficient to do every thing from draw the desktop to watching things on netflix. It can get roughly 30fps on Counter Strike: Supply on low settings running at 1440x900. I actually had a bit of fun attempting to see what I could throw at the onboard GPU and see how poorly games rendered.

Combination of HDMI output and builtin WiFi created this an appealing worth. Plus the form element is nice. Very first MB had poor sound channel on HDMI output. WiFi was also iffy as it liked to cut out all the time till I flashed the BIOS and updated the driver. Replacement MB fixed sound, but I am still operating on the WiFi. Hoping the BIOS will repair the WiFi. Runs Win7 Ultimate 64bit extremely nicely. I'm mainly using this as a media center hooked up to a 50" plasma so the mixture of W7 and MediaCenter software and this motherboard tends to make a nice setup. Would have rated this greater but the WiFi and HDMI sound have sort of tainted my opinion.

Tiny size, five SATA ports, PCI-E x16 slot, Gigabit Ethernet. No BIOS RAID support even even though manual particularly mentions it and how to set it up. Overclocking the CPU is a pain since the BIOS settings stink. Computer system crashed a couple of times I tried to overclock. Also I place DDR2 800 memory in it but it says it's operating at 667? The builtin Intel X4500 graphics don't even support complete HD, so a graphics card in the PCI-E slot is likely a excellent concept. I haven't tried the Wifi so I can't comment.

None for me as I cannot use this board for it's intended purpose. Don't get this board if you plan on employing anything other than a video card in the PCI-E slot. I tried installing a Hauppauge 2250 card and the system does not begin. This limitation is mentioned in the updated on-line manual but not in the printed manual or anyplace else I could come across. The H55-ITX board could also have this limitation according to users on the Zotac forum.

Bought this motherboard a handful of weeks ago with the good rebate Zotac is offering...With the reputation that Zotac seems to have for motherboards(and lengthy rma's.), I was rather nervous. When it came in, I threw it up on the test bench and played with it for a few days just before installing it into my older htpc. I played a couple of films, then played a few games to check for general stability and didn't run into any main complications. Even though, the chipset got very hot when gaming for over an hour. In a cramped case, you might want some active cooling over the chipset. It's incredibly hot to the touch. I replaced the factory adhesive paste with ceramique, it did help, but I would still recommend active cooling. Particularly in tight areas. Overall, a good low price remedy for an older platform. Coupled with an e8400, 4gb's of ram, ssd, and a decent video card this little pc is fairly darn snappy. Beyond voltage, no potential to adjust memory settings in Bios. The board overall, has been quite stable. Not a single hiccup.
