I thought I was purchasing a good deal and at the same time a bit apprehensive about buying the GE camera since I usually go with Nikon or Cannon. After using the GE A1050 camera, I must say that I liked the way it was handling itself until the flash stopped working after a few weeks.I requested an exchange to give GE another chance, lets see how far I go with it...

For the price paid, this was a good investment, but I really miss the days when cameras had a viewfinder. I hate relying on the screen, especially in extreme sunlight. At times the shutter does not want to open or close all the way, and I find it difficult to power OFF the camera once it is on. The panoramic setting is very neat and easy to use. Also, for the price, it would have been nice if it came with a memory card and or carrying case. Overall, nice camera, easy to use, easy to download and great pictures. When the camera arrived in the mail, there was a bit of a security concern, as there were no markings on the box whatsoever, no description of the contents and nothing marked on the customs form (I live on a military base overseas). Highly recommend this company use a logo on their shipping containers or find a way to describe shipment contents in the future.

I was apprehensive about the GE lens, but I give it full marks. Don't let the brand name deter you. But for 'point and shooter's The A950 looks like being much better value, at Tiger's price, if you are on a budget. You won't miss the extra Megapixel.

Except for auto-focus (especially for video) all other features work fine.

I purchased this camera with specific expectations and they weren't met. Overall the camera offered good options but battery life is poor. What it boils down to is the camera is great for the money but for the things I want to do I need a more expensive camera. Also the LCD screen on this camera doesn't do the picture justice. Noticed a huge difference when I uploaded them to the computer. Good camera but not what I was looking for.

I was apprehensive about buying the GE camera. I mean it was GE and not Nikon or Cannon or Olympus. Those were the brand names I was used to relying on for my camera purchases. Being a film photographer at heart, the digital camera was a new product. After using the GE A1050 camera, I must say that the GE has once again made a quality product. I am very pleased so far with the operation and quality of pictures I receive from the camera. I would recommend it to other pure film camera enthusiasts.

I got exactly what I wanted. It turns on and off so fast, I don't have to worry about trying to hurry to get a shot and easy to use.

Camera takes very good pictures. I like the panaramic feature-take the first picture, move camera and move to the target circle and take next picture and so on. Very easy to use.

For under $100 this is good deal. But low light produces unclear pictures, even with flash. Panrama shots are decent (definitely for that price.) Easy to use but must read a little to figure out what everythign on the wheel means.

It is simple to use, quick to power up, minimal lag time to take a picture.

I must admit, I wasn't expecting too much. After all, one can spend many hundreds on similar small cameras from some other more well known manufacturers. But I must say, It's very well made, the 5-to-one zoom lens seems excellent, and the 10.1 megapixels gives sharp pictures. The features all work marvelously (and it seems to have them all). I especially like the ''panorama'' feature where, after you line up the crosses, the camera takes the second and third shots automatically and stitches it all together. Battery life is excellent (which I did not expect). So, good in fact, that I have yet to purchase rechargeables for it. I'm still on the two alkaline AAs it came with! Negative points? I wish it had an optical viewfinder, In bright sunlight the LCD is all but useless, but all cameras in this class seem to have gone that route and have the same problem. All in all a great camera at a bargain price. I highly recommend it.

The camera is everything that I was expecting. Easy to learn how to operate, display and print pic's on PC. Really like the use of AA Alkaline batteries. High value item for available features,would recommend to friends and family.

A great entry level camera for pictures on the go. Excellent picture quality and colour. Easy to use. Add a large capacity SD card, and the camera essentials kit, and a camera case, and you're ready for endless casual photos. Keep it in the car for those interesting moments. Great little camera for the price!

I got this camera to replace another that doesn't get very clear pics. All I wanted was a inexpensive point-and-shoot that takes sharp and color-true pictures. I am very happy that it meets all my needs. It's easy to use and the instructions are simple. I especially like the automatic panorama mode. So far I've only viewed the pics on my computer, but I expect that hard copies will be just as good. Movie mode is nice too; works almost as well as my camcorder.

Bought this camera for my wife for Xmas and so far we are very pleased. The picture quality is outstanding particularly for a PHD (push here dummy) camera. It has a lot more features than most buyers will ever use but if you just keep it in auto mode chances are you won't be disappointed. It is especially good for older people who have trouble looking through a view finder. Also the use of plain old AA batteries is a real plus if you have ever dealt with rechargables of high end NIMH batteries.

Great camera for the money.I bought one for my son for Christmas. I liked it so well I bought one for myself after Christmas. I would recommend this camera to anyone that does not want to spend big bucks and get good pictures. Nice little camera.

This is a great little point and shoot camera. It has lots of toys including Panorama, audio tagging, and video. I was very impressed with the quality of the video mic. The only down side I've found is that this camera shoots hot, which i'm learning to control.
