I looks just like an Apple charger, but comparing the fine print to an real Apple you'll notice spelling mistakes and technical errors on the input rating (100-240V 1.0A) while the real one is only 0.15A input.Biggest issue is that the fake charger gets very hot while recharging, much hotter than the real Apple chargers. Searching online, there are many people who test fake Apple chargers and the results show the main issues are output noise and inconsistent voltage output, while the real Apple chargers output a steady 5V.Will it harm your iPhone? Don't know, but not worth the risk to use a cheap charger on an expensive phone.I would have only given it two stars but I don't have my receipt anymore while NCIX needs the order number to give it two stars. Hasn't died on me yet, considering that I've went through so many in the past few years. It's a pretty decent charger for the price its being sold for. I've connected my iPhone 4, iPod, a friends iPad, and plethora of other past generation iDevices to it. |

The product I received had a labelled power input [NOT output] rating of 1A, that seems rather high. Official Apple charging cube and other third party chargers have power Input listed as 0.15A, or I have also seen 0.25A [The product image here on NCIX shows it labelled with 0.25A input]. This product's output is the expected 5V~1A.I tried this with an android phone and Gen1 iPod Touch, it ran terribly hot with the phone and the phone became unresponsive until unplugged. its a charger that is identical to the genuine apple model but it cost 3.5x less than it. It is as good in terms of charge time and would recommend everyone to buy this instead of getting ripped off by apple for a simple USB to DC charger. So dont wory if you lost your apple charger and buy this like i did when that happened to me. |

Purchased two of these for $7 each. once came dead on arrival with something bouncing around when you shake it. The other worked... but then i went to pull it out of the outlet and it separated into two pieces. the two metal "plug" prongs are well attached to the plastic back panel, as for this back panel, I think I can make out the small bit of plastic which held to the housing. Advise: Plug it in and leave it! $14 bucks gone :( |

I got 4 on sale because this is one of the few no nonsense chargers, this item is simple and affordable. Unfortunately one of the four I purchased was dead on arrival, it made checking sounds when plugged in.I got these to replace the need for all the many power adapters I have and I picked up some charger cable/adapter kits. Every device has a different adapter and most USB cables can't carry a charge so the kits work quit nicely and save a lot of space.I like this product for it's small size, simplicity and low cost. |

This adapter is a great buy for anyone who travel or can't have a laptop/computer to plug their usb ipod cable. Price is wonderfull since they sell this thing 35$ca in an apple store. |

I got one of these with my iPhone. They charge my phone faster then my other USB wall charger even tho they put out the same amount of volts. I just ordered another one for my front room.They are very compact and they get very hot when they are charging. I guess thats because of how fast they charge.I have not tried using it on anything else other then the iphone 4. |
The original apple charger works good to charge the Ipad mini. But when I used the nGear, the Ipad mini would say not charging. Looks like the nGear charger doesn't have enough amperage or voltage varies like the other reviewer mentioned. Might have to stop using them on my iphone. Maybe that's why it doesn't get a full charge sometimes. I use them to run some usb fans for cooling my PVR and stereo too.
