It moves air nicely and the clear acrylic is a good touch the blue LED's are soft not overpowering. Excellent solution for the funds I purchased a few... None that I can inform so far I seen a lot of complaints as far as screws lining up, and don't fully grasp them if you don't line up a single way flip it about and voilà they line up completely and when you flip them the energy wires are on the backside and cable management is a breeze

I have a 500GB WD Blue tough drive, and it never ever breaks 37c even at complete load., (My area frequently hits 31c and more than in the summer time so this is quite excellent!) 33-35c idle based on area temp. Can't hear the fan. None what so ever! In fact i consider im going to get one particular of these each time a i get a challenging drive. Buy it now if you don't have one. Keeps your HD healthy!

Got this soon after a single small business day, plugged appropriate in to my four pin connector. it came with screws but i could not mount it to my HD becaseu i have the screwless mounting brackets, My fault. I have it resting on the leading of my hdd and the air blowing on it lowered its temps from 104-109F to 84-86F. The blue LED's are a good touch, but they could be a bit brighter The only point that was wrong was that i could not mount this Directly on my HD, but this was my fault for not checking this ahead of acquiring the fan If your looking for a good coller for your HD thats beneath 10 bucks then I would go for this. Plus if you have a plastic sided case then the blue LED's add a incredibly good touch

Bought fan to cool hdd in tight box out of air stream. quiet with fantastic air flow but wouldn't match in the drive bay. I would have to mod the heavy aluminum drive slot and rails to considerably. Will put it in one more technique. Cool led does not reduce temp.

I've had these on my western digital 1T drives for more than a month now and neither of them have gone above 36C even beneath the heaviest loads or biggest file transfers. I program on receiving two much more on my subsequent order. For the price tag they are definitely worth it. Quiet, Operate well, Look fantastic, and install is basic. If you can't install this thing you shouldn't be touching a computer. Requires up a three.5" slot but that's greater than loosing your information simply because you WD overheated. If you have area in your case for these they are an excellent investment. They are really nice for the cash and I couldn't be happier with their functionality.

Blue LED. 2-3C alter in temp. Fans don't truly push any air instead they kind of just churn it about under my HDD, LEDs are not also bright at all can barely see them in the dark it seems like. Would've rated a two if I had no modify in my temp, 2-3C is nonetheless somethin tho so they need to perform at least a little bit

The really do support, a bit. I noticed about a 7degree C drop in temperature. The 7 degree C drop in temperature didn't justify the hassle of installation and the minor cost of the unit. Following about 1 year the fan started a horrid whining and grinding requiring me to disconnect it's energy to save my sanity. Although the drive temperature went up a bit it was much better offset by rising the case fan speed. Your much better off adjusting your more than all situation ventilation.

Really good HDD cooler. Keeps temps ten'C lower than devoid of. Extremely quiet and it has good seeking LED's (blue). Installation took a couple of seconds (four screws) and fits completely into my case --> my case has a tool-no cost fast release drive-bay mechanisms (NZXT Zero two)...so that tends to make the installation quite straightforward. Nothing so far It's produced of plastic, so don't drop it. ;)But this way it's quite light. Makes use of TWO HDD slots and molex-connection Ɣ-pin). Purchased it with an EVERCOOL HD-F117 HDD Cooler, each are extremely different in its material and with the variety of fans they're working with, but each do their job incredibly well.

Wow! This HD cooler is amazing. I've constantly cooled HD's by front mounted instances fan blowing air over HD, but this little beauty far exceeded my expectations. Crystal clear plastic construction and blue LED light search wonderful. Had to bend down tiny HD guide tabs to line-up w/ HD mounting holes in case. Would have liked to see brighter/additional LED's, but nevertheless looks good. Will certainly obtain once again for future HD cooling demands.

Glows blue, keeps my hard drive cooler than ahead of. I took one particular egg off because i had to bend some of the aluminum in the hdd bay to make it fit effectively. It requires up an further challenging drive slot, but who cares when you have 5 bays in your case? Good tiny gadget. Using it on a 3.five" 500 gig WD caviar black sata III.Bought due to the fact my Tera ED Green crashedWould purchase once again

I was truly suprised at what a difference this cooler could make. I bought 2 of these coolers for my 2 SATA drives which had been operating about 120F-125F.. a tiny also warm for my tastes. I defragged each drives (to place them under full load) and the drives under no circumstances went above 93F. I can live with those temps. Mounting took much less five minutes for both fans. Also the fans are alot quieter than I expected too. I'm very content The blue lights aren't as vivid as I would like them to be but they do light up and make good subtle accent lighting in my case. The only thing that kept me from giving a five rating was the LED's. Overall the cooler does its job rather well.

I've owned one particular of these tricky drive coolers and let me inform you, i've never had 1 dilemma with it. An occasional cleaning is vital, that's a given, and its all very good. Gets me some fantastic temps on my drive when I'm encoding, it moves a generous amount of air. Blue led is not more than-powering, nice mix with my red led strips, tends to make the cooler look purple. I can't fit it with my 2 drives in my Corsair Obsidian 800d hot swappable drive bay. Also undesirable, my drives run a lil hotter in this case. Have you any idea why a Raven is like a writing desk?

Excellent airflow. Extremely quiet. Nice blue glow. None. It's ever slightly taller than some other people since it's slightly curved on best. But that can be an benefit. It pulls air in from the leading sending it down and out both it's ends. Due to the slight curve on best, the best can be appropriate up against one more drive and still pull air in quite nicely.

easy to install. modest kind aspect: it can even fit into my 5.25" external enclosure. reasonably quiet (comparable to my MX-1) with enough amout of cfm. excellent looking blue LED. none. I understand quite a few men and women complain it does not substantially lessen HDD temp. But you got to remeber this is simple physics: if your HDD is awesome enough already or your case is currently warm anyway, no way this cooler will help you a lot. Plus a handful of C at idle will most likely signifies a huge various when the HDD is busy. My Panaflow 90mm fan only transform HDD idle temp by 3C when switching from 50% rpm to 100rpm.

low cost and great. Has my 1T 6. lowered temp 7deg F, now .two deg above ambt temp. silent, blue glow matches leds in apevia case shed 1 3.five" internal bay, two wire hook up install on drive b4 drive goes in, duh!, I will bear in mind subsequent time. Could require to notch plastic edge of fan exactly where shelf tabs line up with it in the driver bay, or bend/remove the two tabs that line up with the middle drive side screw, or dont place the end 2 screws in the bay holder (lifts the drive up half a screw hole) PS . it is quiet, so dont stick ur finger uder drive to see if its spining
