When I purchased it it was about as much as some 2GB kits. No heat spreader. Getting 6-5-five at 408 Hz @ "stock" speed. It may well just be my MoBo is screwing points up, but I would assume that the RAM should be able to take a measly two% overclock without going over a cycle.

Cheap and rapidly, this is the second pair i've bought. I honestly don't believe it's worth paying a lot for ram these days when the low-cost stuff performs just as properly. Granted, i'm just utilizing this for a media server built on freebsd + zfs. none. ZFS loves ram. If you use zfs, the a lot more ram you have the better. Low cost ram works just as nicely as pricey ram in my tests. So you can afford 50-one hundred% more ram and get considerably more out of your system with the low cost stuff.Hardware raid is dead. ZFS + inexpensive ram and inexpensive disks = awesome speed

It worked for 36 days. It didn't work after 36 days. I study the other critiques on this memory before I bought it and decided that despite the fact that they weren't favorable, the price tag was suitable. Now the system is completely out of commission till AVANT (AllComponants) feels like obtaining back to me.I call their 800 # and get a True Live individual "Jordon" every time - which is excellent. But Payton is the guy that takes care of the Newegg purchases and he hasn't returned my emails. :(I guess I'm just gonna have to acquire a lot more ans then whenever AVANT rma's my broken down ram then I'll just have to sell them on (that unmentionable auction web internet site).Lesson DiscoveredɅ) Read the reviews and take heed!!Ō) (That unmentionable auction net site) is great for some thing.three) I nevertheless really like Newegg.

Really low-cost. Boosts my XP machine truly effectively. Can't believe I got it this inexpensive. I see no difference with it than the Kingston chips I took out. Only applied it for a couple weeks but, No Negatives at this point. My XP machine had 2GB, I swapped these 2 chips with these two. Board wouldn't boot with both in. Checked the specs on my board and it says Max 2GB. I place one particular of the old 1GB chips in with a single of these and it recognises 3GB. Go figure.

This RAM operates Good and is affordable! I have had NO issues out of it and I purchased two of these kits to max my motherboard out at 8GB. This RAM is cheap, but isn't low cost. It's not fairly as the RAM with heat syncs/spreaders, but who cares? My Sonata III case has no windows...

Bought both sets together to total 8GB, the initial 4GB i sat in my desktop program to go along with the new quad core and all. operates excellent to this day. My board enables voltage modifications to them fine, but i haven't had to do so. The second 4GB went towards a new server i was going to be colo'ing at a nearby datacenter, but 1 of the 2GB sticks was providing blue screens left and proper, while the other booted every thing up perfectly fine. going to talk to manufacturer soon about a replacement due to the fact I am currently previous due for newegg to replace would have providing this four-five egg's but a dud stick leads me to think they a) dont test their equipmentb) not effectively produced in the first placec) been sitting about in extreme heat or cold for as well longeither way it's wonderful RAM for the value, and if they dont give me the run around on the replacement stick I wont be too upset.

Each DIMMs workedRuns at rated speed, and with slightly reduced timings at improved voltage.Cheap. The overclock I got was exceptionally weak. With a bump of .four volts I managed five-5-five-11. Nonetheless, no matter what I did (and trust me, I tried everything, such as 11-11-11-33) I couldn't get these modules to 1066MHz. I chose these for the low voltage, because I although I would get a decent overclock. Guess not. These are good and low-cost, but for only a few dollars far more you could get a good G-Skill set with heat spreaders and considerably better overclocking potential, or, following a rebate, you could get a Corsair set for 10 dollars less. I'd like to say that you get what you spend for, but I come across it exceptionally cliche, and it's not correct, due to the fact there are exceptional sets out there for much less.

It's a bargain. And it gets 5.9 on the Windows Encounter Index. Memtest86+ says it (and my other set of DDR2 800 sticks) gets about four.5 GB/sec speed. No heatsinks.

memtest86 sees no difficulties with it, excellent speed, price, newegg's processing and UPS's shipping... none for what I'm employing it in Purchased it for a no-frills spending budget create, have practically nothing undesirable to say about it. Operates without a dilemma on a Foxconn board.

superb on my pc. nothing terrible has happened and it doesnt appear like it will. functions on a linux 64 bit computer. and it is low-cost enough none that i can come across most folks except gamers dont care but the 800 speed is slow.

This ram is relatively rapid 齠MHz), but not great for gaming. For the value when i got it, it was fantastic. Price tag is also high on all ram! If your going to commit this type of funds on ram, get DDR2 1066, if your motherboard and processor can help it. As far as gaming, I don't use the laptop this ram is in for heavy gaming, so its fine for me, that's why I gave it five eggs.

Functions effectively with my Gigabyte GA-P35-S3G Had to adjust ram timings in the BIOS (big deal) No issues so far, will update if problems arise.
