Does what it supposed to. I constructed a new Pc 11. My spot is all carpet, so I can stroll around in socks, then touch a light switch and really feel the little shock. This is my way of testing if I've got static. I built the Pc on a table in the non-carpeted kitchen, and utilized my carpet test to verify if the wrist strap operates and it does (no shocks). Had to stretch the phone cord like cord to make it longer, although that didn't assist all that substantially to add length. Make certain you're clipped properly as the clip can come loose otherwise. Don't do internal personal computer operate with the door off the case on carpeting! Just a tip! |

It was constructed superior than I anticipated. Velcro strap seemed sturdy. The clip-on wire does not come off also quickly. The alligator clip could be stronger but if you are creative on where to clip it this may not be an challenge. If you have large wrists like I do then I recommend another brand. The strap barely fit on my wrist and soon after about 5 minutes it managed to reduce off the circulation in my hand. If you have little wrists then I extremely advise this. If you are 6ft or taller or over 200lbs. you may well have some trouble with the strap too. :) |

It's extremely saftey, and Handy. It has a clip on and clip off on the wrist element so you dont need to have to unclick the alligator part.Extremely Light. When i attempt to move about the table or some where not even 3 to five feet away.The alligator Mouth just snaps off the case and comes back to you. |

Cheap for the Protection of your hardware. Can't locate a single... I can't say that it truly performs due to the fact I don't have the tools for that but according to the other reviews it operates and I type of placed my hope in these. Given that I'm posting from my new make, it guess it performs.I very suggest that you buy 1 of individuals if your are organizing to construct your initially Computer or building a lot of PCs. You CAN'T go incorrect. |

Does what it's supposed to do. The wrist strap need to be longer. You can't leave the strap threaded to the loop on the far side and still get it onto your wrist. You have to absolutely undo it, place it against your wrist, then attempt to thread the strap one-handed - like a classic wristwatch, but a bit additional hard (for me, anyway). If there was even 1 more inch of strap then I could just loosen it, slide my hand via, then tighten yet again, ready to go. I have rather smaller hands/wrists, so bigger folks would in all probability be even much more aggravated. |

it operates like it really should. is comfy to put on cable is like 6 feet lengthy but becoming coiled up like it is it makes it feel brief. the clip keeps coming off. sort of low-cost the way its constructed.. i like it but you just have to take your time working with it on otherwise it will come undone. |

It was quite comfortable, and every little thing worked, even immediately after installing some components on a carpeted location. The clip gets a hold of items firmly, but does not truly appear to mark up anything. Ok, range of movement. You are not going to run about a space with it, but I was able to move about a table quite quickly. It's yellow. New Egg is a fantastic spot to buy your personal computer supplies. |

.90 Megaohm, so within reason of the 1 million ohm resister.I'm a heavier set guy, and it fits without having a issue. wasn't free of charge To test yours, set your digital multi meter to 2000K (which is two Million ohms) Attach one of the multi meter leads to the alligator clip and touch the other to the metal on the inside of the wrist strap. You need to see one thing close to 1000 come up. In my case it was 990. |

It does it's job. It's a SAFETY MEASURE, not a "i can poke items with a screwdriver and not fry my board." I spend just as a lot time working on my case with out this on than I do when I have it on. Either way, I haven't fried anything because I was 15. Don't be scared, other reviewers believe this is an anti-board fryer instead of an antistatic wristband. The cable is shorter than I'd like it to be, but it's created to click on the side of your case. Bought four and all four have about 1 Megohm resistance so that means they are inside specs. I lastly realize it for a moment and wish to share with other newegg prospects prior to I forget what I was told. There are no directions on how to test this on or inside the box (would expense fraction of penny) and there are no specs on the box. If they would have talked about Ohms, I could have figured out to check for resistance. Rather, I tested for continuity and thought they had all failed. Right after calling the only excellent electronic shop in town and asking how to test anti-static wrist straps, a tech dumbed it down for me. He mentioned to put my multimeter on the Ohm setting to read megohm Ƒ million Ohms). The probes in between the alligator clip and metal part of wrist bracelet will read out about 1 Megohm if all is effectively. Apparently there is a resistor iniside the connection that makes a continuity tester show continuity in spite of the continuity tester working fine to test intact video & speaker cables (which is what I am employed to and how I produced my error). Minus 1 egg simply because the manufacturer really should give specs on the box without us getting to appear them up and minus one egg for failing to mention how to test just before using on your + machine. Return an egg simply because perhaps I really should be smarter. Minus quite a few eggs to me for not paying additional attention in college physics.
