Cons: The additional heat sinks for the RAM on my 4870 do not completely cover both chips, as they should. This may be a slight design flaw, or an attempt to make them more "universal" as this cooler is meant to work on more than one card model. Meh.

Pros: Easy installation, limited noise on 12V power (recommended) and does EXACTLY what it's supposed to do - cool your card!
Comment:
This sweet little cooler saved me $460.00, which is what I was going to have to pay (just before the holiday's) for a new card to replace my messed up 4870. Up until this cooler, the 4870 was a HUGE disappointment with all it's heating issues and driver problems. I had to RMA the first card due to over-heating right off the bat. The replacement I received had no cowling over it anymore - just a rather sinister looking heat sink and fan assembly. This did not stop the heat from burning out the bearings on that little sucker, when I discovered the fan had FALLEN off the card months later!!This unit was VERY easy to install with limited hair pulling (an extra pair of hands for mounting the screws helps a lot!). Purchasing a tube of thermal paste would probably have been a good idea, but it comes with enough-ish. This is how this card should have been sold in the first place, as I have had nothing but issues with heat on the ASUS EAH4870HD card. Now that I have this cooler, the card is performing better than it ever has! While I can see how the added thickness is a concern for those who wish to add another card for crossfire, I actually lucked out with my ASUS M3A32MVP-Deluxe mobo, as the second PCI-E slot is well spaced apart, leaving room for another :)Overall, I am tickled pink! Thanks NCIX!

Cons: -had to bend one of the ramsinks to make the copper pipe to fit, not a big deal though-voltage regulator sinks didn't stick very well on my card but are still there to this day so they must be alright, YMMV (I'll probably buy better sinks one day, but temps aren't an issue really)-scary at first to line up the contact pad to the GPU, but well worth it-does take up 3 bay slots (incl. card), but that's not a issue for me, but for a crossfire setup it will

Pros: -dual 80mm fans-quiet (even at 100% fan speed)-large heatsink with great fin spacing with copper pipes
Comment:
First aftermarket video card cooler. Was scary to install at first, but well worth it.My only beef is that I should have bought copper sinks, but I don't think that's a problem anyways. Runs pretty cool and my case isn't suffocating.I'm liking the other cooling products I have (Freezer Pro 64, 12L PWM fan) from Artcic Cooling which made me decide this one over others. Cons: Ram / mofset heatsinks hard to stick.

Pros: Quiet. Looks good. Cools very well.
Comment:
I bought this to install on my 8800GT to make it quieter / cooler. It wasn't too hard to install the main heatsink, however the ram/mofset heatsinks were very hard to keep in place. After a few tries I got them to stick though. All things considered, it does its job.

Cons: - Doesn't come with enough heatsinks for my 4890- Needs careful installation- Takes up 3 slots

Pros: - Keeps my 4890 at very cool temperatures- Very quiet- Very low priced
Comment:
I bought this for my 4890 because it was running too hot. For the price, it was a steal given that I only plan on using 1 GPU. Just remember that during installation on a 4890, do not use any of the nuts that it comes with. Doing so will prevent the base from getting any contact with the gpu chip. Otherwise, this cooler keeps my card at 40 at idle and 60 at load y 70% fan speed. Very good compared to the stock cooler as this cooler is inaudible at this speed.

Cons: Sinks do not stick well

Pros: REALLY EfficientSilent
Comment:
Put it on my his 4870 to cool it down and shut the hell out of it. It finally got quiet. Really quiet, barely noticeable. Cools well too, no GPU overheating. WARNING FOR THOS WHO PUT IT ON 4870 : google alternatives with the accelero on it.... the VRM heatsinks are not enough, they overheat easily although that gaming is still possible with good airflow.

Cons: None I've noticed yet.

Pros: Keeps my 4870 cool and QUIET!
Comment:
I bought this to replace the ridiculously loud cooler on my 4870. The noise from the Dual Fan Palit cooler was just insane. I put this one on today and its nearly silent in comparison. My temps still dropped a few degrees but that was never a problem on the stock cooler. I simply needed something that wasn't a jet engine. Idle temp is 47 degrees at %50 fan speed. Load temps are under 70 witch is good for a 4870. That's still with the fan speed at %50 too as I don't bother going any faster. Still at %100 fan speeds this is still quieter than the Palit dual fan cooler at about %20! Needless to say I'm happy with it. I kept the factory VRM HS on the card and didn't bother installing the RAM heatsinks as I'm not overclocking. I hear some complaints with the Memory and VRM heatsinks but as others said if you clean the surface before installing them I'm sure they are fine.

Cons: Takes up an extra drive bay; no idea how to use in an SLI setup

Pros: Very quiet; draws power from the Video card, so I can use the card's software to manipulate the fan; dropped my card's heat from 79C to 58C
Comment:
My EVGA 9800GT was shutting down every few days due to overheating. I installed EVGA Precision to manage the card's heat, and found it was going to 79C just surfing the web! I was afraid to run any games at that point. Ambient temperatures were around 25-30C at that time.Playing with Precision, I bumped the stock fan speed from 30% to 50%, and that dropped the temp by a couple of degrees. Pushing the speed higher (75%) got me a few more degrees, but now the fan started clicking, and kept clicking even when I decided to bring the speed down. Time for a new fan.I chatted with one of the reps at NCIX (in-store) for a while; we had troubles finding a fan that stated compatibility with the 9800GT. Later, I found out that the chassis for the 9800 is pretty much the same as the 8800GT, so if you're looking for a fan for the 9800GT - if it fits an 8800GT, it should fit the 9800GT.Anyway, we finally stumbled on the Accelero Twin Turbo, and I took it home. Installation is fairly easy, but requires a good bit of patience. This was my first fan install, and it took me about 2 hours total. Part of that time was spent rearranging my hard drives to accomodate the new fan in my box; the 9800GT is a pretty big card to start with, and the fan takes up about a second bay. I've no idea how anyone could use this in an SLI setup. Finally, I started everything up. I left Precision with the stock settings, and now the fan is giving me a standard running temp of 55C, up to 58C playing a typical strategy game (ie Civ4, Sins of a Solar Empire). This fan has saved me buying yet another video card - thanks, AC!

I would highly recommend this cooler, it has dropped my 4850 from 45 degrees to approximately 37~ on idle. On load it won't even hit 45. Also I was able to OC approximately 20% more on the core clock. Very good cooler overall.

Cons: VR heatsinks were a bit of a PITA, but no biggie in the end.

Pros: Performs superbly and quietly
Comment:
Dropped temps from 61C idle and 74C running FAH, both with 85% fan speed, to 42C and 53C at 40% fan. Nowhere near as loud as the stock, just a gentle whoosh of air now. Running this in an Antec 1200 with every fan on low, now I have to figure which is the noisiest fan, was no contest before with the stock fan.

I bought a factory overclocked 4870 from ASUS.For some reason they felt having no cooling on the memory chips was a really good idea.I should have RMA'd it but went with a after market cooler instead. The Artic twin turbo Idles my card at 38c and the highest I have seen any of temps go is 62c down from an Idle of 50c and a high of 72c(the card would crash at this point).

Comment:
This thing does keep my card cool and is quiet like i wanted. Can leave my computer on at night and can overclock better. The documentation for this card was not very good. Little fold out sheet of paper with bad pics made for a harder installation that took longer.all in all does what its intended to do and does it quite well.

Excellent cooler. Keeps my 4870 at 44degC idle and at 60degC when running ATITool. Can't hear the fans over system fans. Its a little big, height wise, as adding another card for CF will be really tight on my Rampage Formula. Overall though, its an excellent after-market solution, would recommend to anyone!

It is an efficient cooling device. I installed it on my Sapphire HD3850. I overclocked the card to 770/1125(2250). When i played to C&C Red Alert 3, the temp used to be into the range of 70-72C and started to show some artifacts. Now is 46-49C and no artifact anymore. Also, i was impressed by the shipping. I ordered the cooler the last evening and receiving it at my working place the next day a 9h am. Thanks NCIX!

Cons: RAM sinks can be tricky to stick to RAM. The sticky pad on one of my sinks wouldn't stick until I wiped some rubbing alcohol on it.

Pros: Quiet, cools well.
Comment:
I put this on an EVGA 9800GT. It cools better and is much quieter than the stock cooler. The RAM sinks can be tricky to install. Took about 20 minutes to remove old cooler and put this on. Recommended if you are worried about temps or noise.

Comment:
I put this on my Diamond HD4850 that had reference cooling. drop  temperatures quite a bit and was also a lot quieter compared to what the reference cooling fan speed had to be to achieve similar temperatures. drop ped my temps about 15C compared to stock while remaining silent.

Cons: -Mediocre cooling of the voltage regulators-it plus your card will take up 3 expansion slots.

Pros: -Beats the snot out of the best stock coolers out there.-Extremely quiet, even at 100%-Easy installation (a bit trick on 4870)
Comment:
This cooler is absolutely amazing. My old stock 4870 cooler would get me load temps of 65C at high speeds and sounded like a plane taking off! This cooler is barely audible at 100%, and at that speed gives me a max load temp of 45C! for those who don't know, that is absolutely amazing, considering the 4870 is far and wide the hottest card on the market right now, the stock cooler is massive, and this thing beats it hands down. One small problem is that there is only a small temp decrease on the voltage regulators, but I've heard it can be solved with some extra vrmsinks applied to the side of the card opposite the regulators.

great cooling device, before this my 8899gt would go upto 80degredd under 80% stock fan and a 800mm exhaust fan under the card. no my 8800 tops at abou 55 maybe, on a hot day. also OCed my card to 700/1728/1000 and its running stable.by using this it also decreased my over all case temperature nu a couple of degrees, if u need great cooling for the price, pick one of these up!

Cons: Slight fitment issue with 8800GTS 512

Pros: Great Cooling!Seems as quiet as my stock cooler
Comment:
Bought this cooler on sale for $28 and it's definately worth it. I am using it on a 8800 GTS 512 Galaxy card, and while the heatsink it self fit fine, I had some issues with the Voltage Regulator heatsinks. I am not sure if it is just the layout of this card, but the sinks didn't match up to be able to cover them all. I had to but my forth sink so I could cover the other regulators. Ram sinks fit fine and the cooler itself was good. As for temps, Before on load doing GPU folding I was getting 81 degrees, and now with this cooler it is down to about 52 degrees using GPU-Z. So it definitely cools well.

Cons: vrm heatsinks have trouble sticking on this card

Pros: great gpu coolingquiet
Comment:
Bought this for a Diamond Radeon 4870 1GB. Great cooling overall - GPU stays nice and cool. The only issue so far is the voltage regulator heatsinks, which line up in such a way that one heatsink has a precarious hold on a single vr chip. It fell off once when I had to remove the card to get at some other parts, and I find the VRMs are running quite hot - enough to get unstable in Crysis, though other games are fine. I've got a VRM heatsink on the way, I'll see whether that improves the situation, though it might be better with better thermal tape (cleaned the chips properly, but still the adhesion isn't great), or something like Enzotech's copper heatsinks. The memory heatsinks stick fine, and no heat problems there. The lowermost memory chip HS hits one of the heatpipes of the main GPU HS, so you need to stick that one on slightly askew, but again it works fine. You could also file down that HS a bit.

Cons: The fan connector is a special 3-pin connector which cannot be connected to the on-board ATI 4850. May be this is good for NVIDIA video card. It does not come with converter to normal case fan 3-pin connector such that the fan power connector cannot be connected to the Fan Controller such as Scythe Kaze Master 5.25IN Bay Fan Controller for fan speed control. They provide converter connector to Molex but the fan will run at full speed and noisy. I have to take out the fan case and install two Noctua NF-B9-1600 92MM Ultra Quiet Cooling Fan. The customized cooler will cool dowm ATI4850 much better than original Twin Turbo and quiet too.

Pros: Height limitaton is eliminated as compare to Accelero S1 Rev. 2 which may not be installed to case with big side fan.
Comment:
This is good as compare to Accelero S1 Rev. 2 in terms of no more height limitation and occupy only two slot if you want to do Cross Fire. This review was modfied by poster @ 10-23-08 11:57 AM

Pros: Easy instal
Comment:
Installed this cooler tonight. On stock was getting 55 deg idle and (if I didn't bump the fan speed up) into the mid 80's when playing Team Fortress 2 with 4x AA and 2x AF on 1680x1050 res. Even with the fan at 85% sounding like a jet taking off, my temps were still 66 in gameWith the twin turbo, I've so far seen as low as 39 deg at idle (tips to 41 every now and then) and in game at same fan speed (I have it at 60% and its still dead silent) my temps were mainly 49, tipping to 50 once in a while.great cooler for the money. People say they have trouble with the ram sinks sticking, but if you clean the chips properly (eraser and then a little alchol) I found they stuck very well. But remember, fans are barely moving at this percentage, blowing on it would literally cool the heatsink better than the air coming out at this speed, so it's practically a passive temp.--The ram sinks hold on fine, I held them on tight for 20 seconds to keep them still, the voltage sinks however, are another story, those things ticked me off. I took the sticky sponge stuff from the stock hs, placed it on the vregs, then put the sinks on em, and they finally held fine after 2 hours so far. I plan on replacing them, as well as the ram sinks, with copper ones from EnzoTech or Swiftech, for better sticking and cooling. And yes I cleaned them properly :)
