Cons: Good to have, but make sure you need it

Pros: Solid, stable mounting kit
Comment:
The cooler I bought weighs only 600g, so I actually didn't need this kit. These are most useful if you are using a heavy cooler (750g+) for keeping the motherboard and CPU safe if you move the case around, especially if it gets banged a bit. It will also keep the motherboard from bending and being damaged over time.

Cons: None that i can see

Pros: Great to install OC vendetta 2 with. This is so much better than having to install a push pin cooler!
Comment:
Its a night and day difference for me between using a boltthru system and the push pin system. this is well worth the cost!

Cons: -Expensive.. got my Vendetta 2 for cheaper.

Pros: Works far better than Pushpins.... much more snug and reliable.
Comment:
Bought this for bro's PC's OCZ Vendetta 2; as much a pain it already is installing pushpins, the large size of the heatsinks didn't help at all. And so I had to go with this bolthru kit.. making life 10x easier..

Cons: ExpensiveI had to remove the motherboard from tray so took extra time to install.

Pros: Bolt through > push pinsWorks with socket LGA775 (which I needed)
Comment:
I am using this with the OCZ Vendetta 2 heatsink. Installation was quick and easy to follow. Package came with all tools necessary for the install. This review was modfied by poster @ 01-04-10 10:14 PM

Cons: Pricey but price matching helps

Pros: Works like it should
Comment:
Works great to replace the stock press pin mounting for the OCZ Vendetta 2. Most likely it helps with temps as well but I never used the stock mount so I can't confirm that.

Cons: -was a hassle to remove motherboard.(not really a weakness)

Pros: -Very sturdy-Lowered temps
Comment:
-Once it is all mounted it is very snug and you never have to worry about it coming loose or having to remount it.-For large Xigmatek coolers this is a must.

Cons: Installation is a pain

Pros: Strong holdMore convenient
Comment:
Used with Xigmatek S1283 on LGA1333 board. Was difficult to install because I never really used something like this before (stuck the wrong side onto the motherboard). The instructions stink, but overall I'm pretty happy with the item.

Cons: - Not included with HDT-S1283- Poor instructions (thankfully easy to figure out)

Pros: - Holds down the biggest heatsinks- Easy install
Comment:
Simply a must for the HDT-S1283. When you have a monster heatsink, you need more than just little pushpins. This will lock down your heatsink real good. The instructions are poor - much like the instructions for the heatsink. Xigmatek could do with some new writers. But it's easy to figure out, and well worth it to ensure that your expensive heatsink it stuck down to the CPU to get the best contact for optimal heat transfer.

Cons: should come with the fans not separate

Pros: well made mounting kit
Comment:
bought this for the xigma sd1283, i had bought the other kit thinking it would fit in my i7 build but found out it didnt and this was actually the mounting kit for it and had to buy this one. its a decent kit but it would be better if they just supplied it with the fan.

Cons: HORRIBLE INSTRUCTIONS!

Pros: great price, gives you some piece of mind, good quality
Comment:
this unit works great and does exactly what it says it does, it gives you a nice solid mount on your xigmatek s-1283, but the instructions are nothing more than some hard to read pictures on the box! that was lame but anyone with some brains should be able to figure it out for themselves..this (other than lack of instructions) is a very quality piece and works excellent!

Cons: Price a little steep compared to Thermalright's, but the thermalright never seems to be in stock.

Pros: Very secure retention of cooler. Easy installation if done while building system or have open MB tray.
Comment:
Have this on an HDT-1283S. That cooler is not going anywhere unless it rips a 2x2 hole in the board. Extremely solid mounting to board, and keeps cooler in great contact with cpu.As with most bolt-thru kits, unless you happen to have an open backed mb tray, you will have to remove the board or install before mb installation.Price is a little high, but I got it on sale for $15, and everytime I looked for the Thermalright kit, it was going to be a few days wait at least. I'll pay an extra $5 to have it when I want it.

Cons: price

Pros: great kit for securing xigmatek s1283 heatsink.
Comment:
keeps it secure/safe, expec. for bigger heatsinks. price is a bit sturdy, since you can get a quality bolt thru kit for half the price that is also compatible.
