Even though this processor is quite past its time, it is running well for me. No problems at all. I notice the improvement. Programs open and close faster. Nice.

I purchaced one of these to upgrade my wimpy 64X2 2.0. So I am very pleased with the extra performace my PC is giving. It's not the fasted chip out there, but for the price you wont be diappointed.

Bought it one day too early price drop by $5. I was having some issues with the CPU temp, I added a little OCZ Freeze Extreme now my temp running around 20c. I heard its more stable, and cooler than the 6400 Black Edition 3.2GHz except for speed, but i did not test it myself. Overall Its a great CPU for the price and speed.

What temps are you guys seeing with this cpu? At boot time in the bios, I'm seeing around 40C, is that right? Of course none of the software progs can read these cpus correctly with some offset adjustment. Just wondering if I'm safe with stock cooling.

Works without a problem. Friendly reminder (because I somehow forgot again) OEM processors don't come with heatsinks or fans :(

I bought this processor to replace the one that came with a refurbished computer I bought on this site. I installed it before I initialized the computer and it worked like a charm. Not a bad price for a dual core too.

This is a great and inexpensive processor upgrade for older motherboards that can only go up to 2000 MTs. It holds its own in benchmarks compared competing dual core processors. It only gets up to about 45 degrees C. The amount of cache on these processors could be increased to improve performance, but that would probably drive the cost up. This processor arrived with one pin slightly bent. So, I had to straighten it gently with a tweezers before installing it. You should only straighten a bent pin if you know what your doing as it could break and void your warranty.

I priced this product at several other places, and they wanted around $110.00 for it, and I got the same thing, for a cheaper price, so why pay more, if you do not need to!? No complaints here!

I bought this processor as a Motherboard CPU bundle. This vendor shipped the CPU and then advised about 10 days later that the motherboard was discontinued and was cancelled off my order. To make things worse the CPU couldn't be returned due to a no return policy at This vendor on this CPU. I purchase a motherboard at another online vendor. I will think twice before ordering from This vendor again.

I love AMD products and this is no exception! I put this in my Laptop but it is a little overpowered and I'm having heat problems. But the processor is so awesome I decided to build a brand new desktop instead of getting a lower power processor! This is a great buy!

As this technology exponentially advances each year, some things will stay the same. Dual Core processors, especially AMD Athlon 64 x2 are reliable, plenty fast for home computer users and are easily upgraded on mobo's with AM2 Sockets. I have three computers at home of which all had AMD 64 x2 3800 processors. I had already added a nice upgrade of power supplies in each unit to 450 Watts for various video cards. When I saw the price of the 5200, I immediately purchased two of them for our entertainment room and my own personal computer in my office. I use Windows 7 32 and 64 bit. I highly recommend this processor. Just about all my upgrades have come from here. I am both pleased with their products and their service.

I replaced a 4200 with this one and the performance boost is quite amazing. It is out dated when compaired with newer processors but great for and upgrade on an AM2 board

For everyday computing and you light gamers out there, this CPU is awesome. Ran everything on my Windows 7 machine great! I'v since upgraded to a Phenom2 965BE, but I'm not exactly a light gamer.
