Great little processor. All I really need right now. Fast, relativity cheap and looks like a potential overclocker to squeeze more speed out of it.Bought it to upgrade my aging AMD Sempron 3000+ (1.8Ghz) (Socket 734). Its like night and day.Handles most games I throw at it fairly well.Throw in the HD4850 I recently got to upgrade from a 7600GS it makes a world of a difference. Great processor for a budget HTPC. Installed it on a Gigabyte 760G AM2+ board without any problems. Although, after receiving it, I found out the 250 is about the same price. Built a couple rigs for customers with these using mATX boards. They use them for Internet, Gaming and DVD's and these chips do all with aplomb. Definately consider this chip if your building on a budget. |

I am pretty impressed with the speed of this thing running win 7 64bit. Runs pretty cool with stock cooler even under full load. Have not experimented much with OC yet as 2.9 is plenty for what this build will be used for. |

bought this for my first build and it is darn fast. i installed windows 7 64bit (oem version)with 4 gigs of sddr2 ram and it flyes. it is a big step foward from my hp with a intel celeron d, windows xp, 1.25 gigs of ram, and a 40 gig hard drive. |

This is a good processor for the price. One of the cheaper ones out there. Runs simple programs great MS Word, Excel, etc.
