Overclocks to three.6ghz extremely easy with only stock cooling with water cooling 4ghz would be simple to do the thermal previous is incredibly stick and poor to use due to when you want to take your CPU our it rips it appropriate out of the socket Make sher to purchase a different CPU cooler this 1 isn't the best

I never ever more than clock and this is rapid enough for me. I'm a gamer and play COD MW2 on the internet additional than something else and there are very handful of other rigs I see that are operating considerably faster than mine. I will obtain a quad when there are alot a lot more DX10 games worthy of it and a better GPU but for now this was a price range setup and its doing as expected, which is very good. runs cool on high settings and no hickups. A great performer for any moneys. No cons. If you're pondering about constructing a price range gaming rig, this isn't a undesirable way to go. I also bought an Invidia 9800 GT, four gigs 1333 mhz dual core memory, and 500 gig hd. I'm nevertheless working with some of my issues from my old technique that work fine so now I'm playing all my games on higher settings at between 35 and 50 fps. I downloaded the Crysis demo and played it on higher settings at about 35 fps.

Got this baby from an RMA of my X2 6400 3.2ghz AM2, Currently noticed an improve in speed in benchmark test, It appears to run alot cooler as well. None so far The fan/heatsink that comes with it looks rinky-dink but in fact packs a fairly potent punch.

It gave me the power I needed! Popped it proper into my motherboard and runs like a champ. Have it slightly overclocked to 2.4GHz and it's a huge enhance to the enhance I already got from stock. I have heard great items about this new processor and now I'm living it! Keeps cool around 39C with aftermarket cooler. No cons, it's cheap and has fantastic overall performance. Don't appear elsewhere, this is the greatest dual core you will uncover.

Good upgrade from the Athlon II 260U 1800MHz processor that was in my machine from stock. 5 minutes to set up and up and running. Windows installed a driver automatically it mentioned. Considerably faster than the 1800. Newegg shipping incredibly quick. Thanks. None so far even though I've only had it in about 15 minutes now. Had to loosen and readjust the clip on the AMD socket on my board a couple of occasions, but I finally was happy it was very good to go.

Runs so cool. Oc'd to 3.5Ghz super uncomplicated. My close friends are Intel boys so they still rag on me. No big deal. Good efficiency, capable gaming cpu, and it's AMD so buy one particular.

It is what it is. Intel has nothing this affordable that does just specifically enough. It didn't magically turn into a supercomputer when I turned it on. Intel has absolutely nothing in this price tag/performance range accessible unless you're prepared to hunt down legacy parts. This is doing a quite very good job of replacing a Socket 478 Pentium four based technique that was showing it's age (were it not for several failed/failing caps on the mb I wouldn't have replaced it). I have a significantly quieter and cooler running system mainly mainly because of this CPU.For Windows XP (and Ubuntu), Email, Net, YouTube, Hulu, Zynga games, spreadsheets, word processing, and organizing 100,000+ snapshots with Picasa, this and 4G of DDR-1066 is a lot more than enough. If you're a single of these men and women who want to be able to do all of that at when, you need more than this. Go purchase a thing else.

Worked without having a hitch. Excellent price. Utilized it for a spending budget AM3 platform develop. That way, my client will have plenty of space upgrade to quad core or even six core later on. I'm concerned about the stock fan and heat sink. Man, they're tiny. Guess I'll just have to see what takes place. The initially processor came in I noticed the box was opened. If it was my laptop, I would have used it anyway, but I was constructing this for a consumer. I RMA'd it and New Egg took care of the rest. The only downside was that my consumer had to wait one more week.

Absolutes amazed how quickly this chip is... and for the price...just incredible. Had this pc sitting next to a 2.two ghz machine and installed the exact same game at identical time... this seriously installed it in ten to 15 seconds the other was closer 3 to 5 minutes. My jaw dropped. Both machines had exact same Challenging drives and memory so it cant be attributed to the tough drives. Everything on this machine with this chip flat out smokes and I haven't over clocked this at all. none

The processor was ver simple to set up and has been operating fantastic for about four months or so. For the price tag I could not ask for much better (so far). None so far. I installed this in an ASRock MOBO and I have been the new technique for about 4 months with no a glitch. It is fast adequate for me and works wonderful with the five versions of Linux I have installed.

I like AMD Processors. I have by no means been dissapointed. I have no beef with Intel, they just cost as well much. This processor is various than any other AMD processor I have used. I had to get employed to the tiny heat sink (and it is TINY) never the less on a Gigabyte MB it runs as cool or cooler than any other processor I have utilised even with large aftermarket heatsink/fans. I like the low power consumption due to the 65 Watt 45nm construction. This enables it to run so cool but it is no slouch in efficiency. I get a 6.6 on my Win7 rating for processor speed at 38 degrees Celsius. That is a wonderful score in my thoughts for the application I am working with it in and the price tag of this processor. The heatsink and fan are tiny but that doesn't bother me even so they do appear to be a small far more cheaply built than the stock heat sink and fans that come with the larger wattage processor. No matter although, you would be wasting cash shopping for an aftermarket arrangement unless the fan failed or got noisy. Neweggis the finest! I have been acquiring personal computer and electronics elements from Newegg for quite a few years and I have under no circumstances been dissapointed by the Egg. Rock on, you guys are the finest!

Runs cool shreds information like no other AMD dual core I have owned. Absolutely awesome overclocker. Got mine running at 3815Mhz on 1.four volts. Temps hovering around 35c idle and load temps at 42c-44c. I replaced a AMD 64 X2 6400+ the 125 watt monster with this a single. Was worth it to me. N/A I Dropped this chip in a ASRock K10N78 MotherBoard cooling this chip with an ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 64 Pro heatsink. Use this for my internet/workhorse machine that is fairly a lot going 24-7.
