I bought this processor for an audio workstation create and couldn't be happier. I can run presonus studio one pro with 30+ tracks (with three-4 effects turned on each and every track) and 2 virtual instrument tracks. Then in the background I can surf the net, edit docs in word, etc. For music producers, this cpu is a dream. Nothing at all whatsoever.

It's a three.0GHz quad core CPU for 贄. It's capable of driving any modern graphics card and playing all the most recent games maxed out devoid of a hitch . And for common goal usage, heavy multitasking, etc., it's a great chip. If you're a gamer on a price range, get this chip and place the rest of your dollars towards an amazing graphics card. You won't be disappointed. Not a gamer? You'll still locate this to be an outstanding processor for fairly a lot every thing you do. None. I've constructed 5 PCs utilizing this chip (paired with the ASRock M3A770DE), all for gaming. Paired with a Radeon 6850񴛆, or GeForce GTX 460륩, it's a really strong gaming setup, capable of maxing anything out today and for the near future.

Flashed it with the 5001 bios update. All went smooth. My rig:EVGA gtx 560 1gig Cool Master V8 heat sink keeps the cpu operating in between 69f and 79f even with hard gaming.I nonetheless have a ide 250 gig tough drive. and a 200gig sataWill add a more quickly HD in the near future.750watt E.W. Antec energy provide6gigs corsair ramThis new cpu has produced me very satisfied. Am able to play COD black OPs with out any more lag problems. 90 fps also thanks to the EVGA card. If you have the similar MB I would recommend the upgrade nicely worth it for the income.

Fantastic chip for the cash. The cooling assembly seemed a lot less complicated to set up than in past AMD socket designs. Newegg got it to me in about 2 days as usual. My only complain is that the instructions for the cooling assembly installation seemed to be outdated and that the cooler does not automatically center on the chip as it used to do when it was additional challenging to set up. Now it is effortless to install but you have to do a bit a lot more manual alignment.

AMD processors are wonderful usually, this is a fantastic, low expense 1 that can more than deal with a good deal of function. It runs a bit hot, hotter than I would like, but it nonetheless can do quite effectively for itself. I put this in a construct I did for a pal and it worried me that a quad core was operating rather a bit hotter than my Phenom II x6. Like I said, it does run a bit hot ࿎ Celsius at idle, no overclocking yet) but it does perform extremely properly and as with nearly all AMD items, its very good high quality for expense

Good affordable peace of performance to upgrade from a dual processor to a quad core. The regular cooler shows to be operating at around 31c. For a bit a lot more you can get L3 cache in a quad core. Even though the regular cooler is performing nicely the case she is in has great air circulation and the core is not overclocked.

Unlocked processor, got this poor boy overclocked to three.4... None. I assume I could go greater if I had the ram to do it. But so far perfectly stable at three.4ghz absolutely free 13.33% overall performance boost. Amazing

Cons: power consumption, old architecture

Pros: cheap, 4 cores, supports ecc memory
Comment:
Used in a server, wanted to use ecc memory, this was the cheapest cpu available. Does the job, stays cool enough, and pretty fast. Not as low power as an intel chip or as fast, but perfect for my needs.

Quickly and low cost quad-core. three.0GHz x four = 99 bucks? Are you kidding me? They never ever taught you that in grade college. No L3 cache. Of course, you currently know that. The CPU fan that comes with it has a four-pin power connector, which did not work with my motherboard's three-pin connector. Error on boot indicated CPU fan failure and the fan failed to spin up to full speed. I decided to just reuse my existing heatsink & fan. I ordered from newegg on a Sunday afternoon. When I got property from work on Tuesday, my whole order was on my doorstep. Newegg is ş.

I've always been partial to AMD CPUs (I still have a functioning program with an Am486 DX4-120) and am entirely satisfied with this CPU.I have this CPU operating with an Asus M4A87TD EVO board and 8GB RAM operating Ubuntu 10.ten 64 bit. I don't even have any issues with the included heat sink / fan as I presently have no plans to overclock. None.

I use AMD for years and I never rem against a problem. Very ideal for everyday use, does not generate a lot of heat when the machine is pushed to the maximum. I probably buy another AMD very soon but a bit more powerful than it.

Overkill for even todays games 7.3-7.four windows score at stock settings.Plenty cool with just the stock fan. No L3 Quickly handles todays games but will be your bottleneck at 7.4 if every little thing else in your program scores greater. Also cheep to pass up. Just upgrade to a Phenom later ;)

I am working with a Zalman 9500A and a Rosewill CHALLENGER case and whilst this processor does idle at low temps ྱC) it does appear to spike up high beneath heavy load (about 41C). Running at seriously steady temperatures. Way quicker than something I've ever owned, as this is my initial new Computer in about 7-8 years, so I'm just leaving the Pentium 3-4 era. An awesome value for four quite fast cores. Also, I don't know if this is out of the ordinary or not, but my CPU hardly ever goes above 40 degrees centigrade, even beneath load with stock cooling. That seemed reduce to me than what I've heard. I'm not positive I entirely trust my temperature reporting plan though. Anyways, the CPU runs pretty cool for a quad core. Higher power consumption than the Intels, but this is operating alongside an OC'ed GTS 450 on an Antec Earthwatts 380W PSU, so I can't really complain. I'm taking many programming classes such as algorithms, and this factor just flies by way of computations compared to my school's computer systems that I was utilizing. It also plays games really effectively. The most demanding games I've tried with it are Crysis and Mafia II. I ran both at 1600x900, Crysis on all high settings, Mafia on highest settings but with no PhysX. With my OC GTS 450, My FPS averages were about 40 FPS in Mafia benchmark (about 50 through actual gameplay), and hovering about 45 FPS in Crysis gameplay. So yeah, this point can game.

Superb overall performance, and dirt low-cost. Purchased from Newegg for ๳.Had this overclocked for the final two weeks at 3.4 Ghz, very stable. even stock clock runs quite hot (compared to intel, and so forth). Consider Acquiring Anything OTHER THAN STOCK COOLER. you won't discover a much better functionality to price ratio.

This processor came in a combo with the MIS mobo and G.Ability Ripjaws RAM. Hooked it up, and this thing runs amazingly. On processor video capability is seriously good, taking into consideration with no external video card (yet), and four GB of RAM, this processor is operating SC2 on Medium Settings with no lag. Can not wait to see the complete potential of this processor right after it is completed dealing with video display as well. None yet.
