Cons: Gets hot under moderate to heavy use.

Pros: Dual-band, cheap, reasonable performance.
Comment:
I bought this to make a computer dual-band wireless ready in a hurry, and this was the most affordable adapter. As other reviewers have pointed out, this unit does get hot under use, but otherwise I haven't had any major issues with this adapter.Performance on both bands is adequate, range is about what I would expect for a $10 USB adapter with internal antennas.

Without support for windows 8.1 and upcoming windows 10 this is dead hardware.Very frustrating to use in the long run.

Cons: Disconnects often

Pros: Works most of the time
Comment:
I'm forcing it to use Windows 7 drivers in Windows 8 (there are no drivers for Windows 8), which may be why there's problems. It works but will disconnect often, every 3 hours or so, and I'll have to unplug / replug to get it to work again. It will also consistently fail during any heavy traffic, such as file copy to another computer on my home network. When copying a movie from one PC to another, I am assured of it failing on average 3 times before it finally decides to work. I guess for the price of $9.99, I can't complain.

Cons: Not recognized by my usb wifi enabled media play device. Unable to install driver for non-pc. Cheep packaging no manual, just a disk.

Pros: Simple to config and is a good name brand.
Comment:
Seems to be working fine only within 10 ft of wifi router.Cheep and convenient for wifi access for a pc.

Cons: Occasional Signal loss

Pros: Easy install with included driver disk.
Comment:
It has been working ok for 2 months. Have it on a PC on opposite side of house about 50' from router in basement and get about 110 to 130 mbps connection. Has dropped connection about 4 times and had to reset but i am happy with it for the price I Paid 8.99 on sale. Have only used with single band router.

Cons: None

Pros: Small, Cheap, fast
Comment:
It's probably not as fast as PCIe card, but fast enough for a highspeed internet. Small. Its not exactly plug and play, you'll need to download and install the driver. After that, its plug and auto connect. Although it says no support for windows 8, just use the Windows 7 driver.Get it when it's on sale

Pros: price , work well with my Buffalo N AP
Comment:
Picked up one of these as the price was so low. Works well at distance with my Buffalo N AP. I am not on AC yet so this fit the bill and works flawlessly. No issue being recognized on Linux or Windows 7.See if it continues to work.

I used to get around 30 ping with my old wireless n adapter, and everytime i downloaded something it would d/c after around 1 hour of downloading i tried downloading with this guy and it remained connected. My ping also dropped down to 20 ping which is very nice. for gaming, great deal for 9 dollars

Pros: Easy to set up!

Definitely worth the $9! Easy to setup. Just pop the CD in & pick your network. Works fine with Windows 8.l. I'm a floor above my router and still getting near-full strength signal.

Pros: Great priceQualitySmallStableFastNice looking
Comment:
Go for it! At $9 this thing looks and works like a brand new. Never dropped connection to my E4200 v1 [w/Tomato] router. Didn’t turn it off for those 3 weeks; I’ve seen some owners complaining about this thing getting too hot – I thankfully didn’t have that experience at all. It’s nicely warm all the time…Simple manual setup if you know few basic things. I’ll get another one at this price to replace a wobbly wireless card on one [very] old EEE netbook..

Cons: - Poor performance in Windows XP.- Don't even think about in Linux.

Pros: - Works in Windows 7.
Comment:
I bought this because it was cheap. If you're running Windows 7, you'll be happy. If you're running Windows XP, you'll be sad. If you're running Linux, have a Plan B. I'm only giving this 4 stars because if I give it anything less, NCIX won't post it.

Cons: - Can get warm at times

Pros: - Great price- Works with both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands
Comment:
This is definitely a refurbished product as the one I got has visible streaks on it; very minor and does not affect the overall esthetics or function. The wireless network USB stick works as advertised with both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band. I haven't had any problems getting it to connect with both bands. The range seems decent and the speed is consistent with if not a bit faster then my previous wireless set up. This was a steal at $9.

Cons: -Mediocre range

Pros: -Price-Decent build quality
Comment:
-I was running out of PCIE/PCI slots on a mATX HTPC build, but needed wifi for VNC, this little usb is working perfectly at roughly 115mbps although it sits only about 20ft away from the router with no walls. I'd be a bit more concerned if you were going to be further away and speed might drop, but for my uses, it's doing its job just fine. Could not tell it was a refurb as the unit itself was in good condition.

Cons: NO LINUX DRIVERS!Product Details on Device are not readily readable

Pros: QualityRangeDesign
Comment:
I purchased this REFURB unit on sale. What a steal! It's worked perfectly since I purchased it and has never lost signal or failed. The box comes pretty bare, without any sort of product inserts or documentation. My only gripe is that there are no Linux drivers available. Though there are some workarounds for the chipset, it's still a pain in the butt. Can't beat Cisco adapters. And no worries with Windows 8.Worked like a charm as soon as I plugged it in.

I got this for my PC because I moved to a new house and needed a wireless set up. I got this because it was cheap and had good reviews on it. And it works just as I expected it to, without any problems. Very simple to install the driver and after that, just plug and forget!
