I purchased this for my extremely initially create, a quad Core i5 machine. It was quite economical and seems to be of higher good quality so far. If I have been to try to nitpick, I would say that it's not as quiet as I want it to be. But it is FAR from loud. Not a difficulty at all, I almost certainly just notice it given that I am using an SSD so that makes it simpler to hear the PSU. But like I stated, that is getting Extremely nitpicky. I've been a loyal fan of a rival electronics web-site. This was my 1st buy with Newegg and I am very impressed. The rates had been slightly superior for what I was seeking for, and with the combos and cost-free shipping, Newegg has created a different satisfied buyer. Shipping was quite quickly as well.

Many Connectors w/good lengths.Fairly Quiet.Excellent Price tag. None so far. I bought this since the 500W that came with my case died rapidly. I calculated the energy needed with my AMD 955, a 4890 and the other program fundamentals. It came out to below 500W, though some websites calculate to much more. So, I believed I'd give this a attempt. It appears considerably additional steady than the original provide and has all the connectors I need to have like the two PCI-E. The lengths of the cords had been excellent for my Mid-Tower case. I didn't measure the precise present draw of my sys, and I in all probability Must have gone with a thing 700W just to be protected, but I've noticed even supposed "quality" supplies fail. It's a rap shoot IMO. It's additional important the good quality of the components and corporation, and so far, this unit seems great. At max game play this issue is nevertheless running steady immediately after a month.Get a handful of power-requirement calulations for your system online or calculate it, be positive provide has all the right connectors required and make sure the 12V rail(s) supply more than enough juice. This 1 did!

I just opened up my new egg package to come across this beauty. The power supply itself is not very massive, only slightly larger than my prior 300 watt power supply; which is good! Installation was a breeze and to think this was my first time ever dealing with a energy supply swap. I was very scared to come across that when i turned on my pc that it was going to be a dead psu but to my delight my hp 9120y sparked right up and now im writing this review! None so far... I purchased this power supply to run an HD5770 that I am presently buying to replace my 4350 card which suprisingly is not such a whimpy card it runs UT3 at highest settings with no problem. My present configuration is...AMD Phenom II X4 two.six GHz8 gb DDR3 ram1 TB HDDATI HD 4350truely a beastly pc (besides for the GPU) at a modest value.. I advocate if you are in the market place for a new one.the case can match medium-huge gpu's there is alot of space in there and with this new 120 mm fan on my psu cooling must not be an issue!THANKS NEW EGG!!!!

Large, slow-turning fan is quiet. Capable to sustain full capacity, a lot of cables for just about every occasion. None that I can see. Maybe that there is only the one huge fan. Amazing unit, not one of those tin foil enclosed science projects. Doesn't imply significantly in the grand scheme, but it feels strong.

It works fine and appears like a very good value. I'm not knocking it for the quantity of plugs, since that's spelled out in the specs. It had just adequate four-pin peripheral connectors to meet my desires, and I knew that going in. The challenge I had was that the wire lengths had been marginal, and in one case also brief, requiring the use of extensions. The key 24-pin bundle just barely reached the motherboard connection. This PS was installed in a mid tower Cooler Master HAF case, which is a bit wider than traditional circumstances and requires slightly longer wires. If you believe you have a want for longer wiring runs due to a substantial case or the need to route the wires out of view, you should in all probability look elsewhere.

I needed more power in my Dell Optiplex 960 (to replace the worthless 220W stock PSU) so I purchased this PSU in the hope that it would match. IT DID! The fan on the bottom is excellent for moving a lot of hot air out of the method, because Dell's have no cooling capacity in the first spot. The PSU is best for powering my XFX HD-577X-ZMF3 Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit DDR5 card. If you are seeking for a low-cost and trustworthy PSU, you want to buy this. Not positive if this is typical for my rig but the heat output has just about doubled because the install. My desk becomes a little sauna when I'm playing Crysis or EVE. When I inspected the back, the PSU was fairly hot...maybe it's just functioning overtime :). There is a smaller pulsing sound. Type of like a nuclear reactor sound...

I purchased this unit for a consumer who requirements a budget Core i7 method for his son who be in high school. I have to appear for beneath โ PSU which is compatible with Intel Core i7, totally free shipping on newegg initially (always attempt newegg no cost shipping for deal, it will conserve you major $$$ sometimes), and I discovered this model which claims Core i7 compatible. I could not discover other retail or e-tailer selling this PSU only here at newegg. I have an Apex 400W PSU for five years, and it is nonetheless operating. I decide to give this Apex 500W a attempt. This PSU has additional connections ྴƲpin, four pin & 8 pin 12V, four SATA, three molex, 1 fdd and 2 PCIE) than I genuinely needed for the programSome low-cost PSU employed to start out sounding like a small jet engine when it is obtaining heavy loaded. It does not occur one particular this 1. This rock is power enough that it has not been stressing, stays cool, 120mm fan speed is incredibly quiet and keep the system really stable. It comes with Intel Core i7 requirement 8 pin CPU 12V connector (it also co No fancy LED fan for the kid. I do not see 80plus, SLI and Crossfire licensed (but it won’t impact the performance). As well many connectors, as far as I can remember I have more than half of the power connectors nonetheless offered. For a price range develop, this PSU is the ideal price tag and additional importantly the proper top quality. This unit came with everything I required to successfully build the rig operating inside consumer’s budget. Now, client had it for nearly more than a week without having complaint.I have no issue recommend this to a person who requirements to conserve funds for great program. I generally advocate shopping for Computer components by NEWEGG, given that they usually have great offers as lengthy as you know how to get them. i.e. start out from free shipping, combo offers…. Excellent value! It does not have the fancy cosmetics of numerous power supplies – LED fans, sleeved cables, glossy finish and fancy packaging. Honestly, I don’t truly care how the power provide looks. It goes inside the case and can not be seen. This power provide does the job. It runs quite stable. The 120mm fan is incredibly quiet. It has every single sort of connectors that you will ever require – 4 SATA, 2 PCI-E, both 4pin and 8pin 12V plugs and some legacy ones. I built a Core i7 920 system, and was capable to OC to 3.8 GHz. Nearly as well a lot of connectors. Modular would be nice, but it easily costs two to 3 occasions more.
