Great fans, distinctive design with fantastic potential. 2Ǚ from my new raven02-e restricted edition white broke.**This case is fundamentally flawed, the fans hit against the mounting/grill and brake, if you get one place risers in between the fan and the moust ASAP** I would Adore this fan if they didn't break |

they move air like you would expect a giant 180mm fan to do.they are seriously quiet. they have a variable speed switch. like the preceding guy with the RV02W-EW, 1 of my AP fans broke right after 2 days. |

Quite quiet, large and moves a lot of air Incredibly Fragile, poor bearings These are the exact same fans they put into their Raven circumstances and they are very affordable even though they want to charge over ฤ per fan. I would look elsewhere as one particular of my fans broke in my Raven02 inside the initial month of operation. Fingers crossed the rest of them last a small longer. |

Moves a very good bit of air. The grill on the back increases the dba of the fan. Their is a key flaw in the design of the fan where the blades slide too far down the shaft and rest outside of the frame, this of significant concern for everyone using these in the Raven series or FT02. For the cost I would suggest a FM181 rather. |

Does what it advertises. Comes with no braiding and a brown connector. I purchased mine from FrozenCPU (sorry Newegg) simply because they offer you braiding and connector switching. I installed this on the side panel of my Corsair 800D case to replace the Silverstone FN181 fan I had in there. That fan wasn't a poor fan, it just didn't put air where I necessary it to go with the filter on it. This fan created a big distinction over the FN181. On low, I see 2-3C differences on the GPU, NB, and SB. On high, I see 5-6C on the GPU NB, and SB. In fact when the fan is set on high my 285GTX maintains 63-64C at 40% fan speed while gaming at a room temperature of 22C. |

Cons: -some motor/rotor noise when in 1200RPM mode; there is a noticeable increase in noise at the 1200RPM setting but it is still quieter than any 2000RPM 120mm fan I've ever heard, plus it moves an insane amount of air at that speed (130 CFM).
Pros: -can switch between 700RPM and 1200RPM (hardwired switch)-directional airflow is vastly improved over regular fans-virtually silent at 700RPM Comment:
I originally bought these for my Raven RV01 but have since moved them into my HAF X. I installed one as the side-panel intake fan and in the 1200RPM setting it dropped my GPU load temps (GTX 580 SLI) by 13C.The focused airflow isn't a gimmick and is very noticeable. When comparing the airflow of the 180mm Air Penetrator to the 200mm Cooler Master Megaflow (both at 700RPM), the airflow in front of the AP181 was much more significant. The ability to increase the speed to 1200RPM (bonus points if you have a fan controller) when additional performance is desired makes this fan the king at 180mm+. |

These fans are quite, and move a lot of air, which are the two principal things people today look for in a fan. They also have a mobo controller and a manual case switch controller(or at least when they came with my case). I bought the raven 2 limited edition white case, which has 3 of these poor-boys covering the entire bottom. When I intially powered the case up for the very first time, 1 fan broke instantly. It should have been arleady damaged, as two blade cracked off. Then, later that night, while attempting to put the side panel on, I tapped into the middle fan, right after slipping; and quickly a blade broke off and began grinding. I truly don't know how twoǙ of my fans have broken. ): |

I replaced one of the stock fans in Fortress FB02 with this fan (right beneath the GPU). With the stock fan, its hard to tell the difference between high and low fan setting, but with this fan, you can definitely hear the the difference. But even then, its pretty quiet and the noise will be drowned by your GPU noise anyway. But, the result is only -1-2C for GPU, not as dramatic change as you would expect from increased fan noise... |

I can't really compare the effectiveness of the stock 180's or the AP181's in the Raven, but I did notice that my temperatures are much better than what I would typically get in a regularly-oriented case. And the noise, albeit slightly loud, is not annoying at all due to it just being air movement rather than bearing noise.However, out of the three I purchased, one of them is already dying, as it makes a rattling sound whenever I put it on the 'high' setting. It's slightly disappointing really, considering how expensive these fans are.Overall though, I'm very pleased with these fans. For those who have the Silverstone Raven or Fortress series, or even any case that can use 180mm fans, I would recommend this. |
very well made fan with great airflow.2 speed switch attached and works well to slow fan to a quiet speed but a pain to hide or mount in non silverstone case
