We ordered 12 Nexus 7s and two of them will not charge. NCIX will not warranty so have to ship them away to Asus. Pay the extra, don't get the refurbished ones. The Nexus 7 is a great device though, perfect mobile tablet. We use them for GPSs, data collection, and a host of other things.The broken devices worked at first but would not be recognized by USB and would not charge with the provided chargers. It seems there is either physical or logical damage with the USB ports in these refurbished Nexus devices. |

Nice tablet - except for missing memory and HDMI slots. One I got was in perfect condition, but missing the warranty info and User guide. |

Pleasantly surprised with this purchase. I was wavering about buying a refurbished unit, but the pricing recently hit the "too good to pass up" mark.The tablet comes with the same items a brand new one does: an AC->USB wall-wart and a short USB->mini-USB cable. The included Play Store media is different however, giving you three books (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Treasure Island, and The Three Musketeers) but no movies. The other difference is that rather than the fancy retail packaging, the tablet is packed in a somewhat larger brown OEM box and does not have a protective film over the screen.Physically, the unit I received was indistinguishable from a relative's new one. There were zero physical blemishes, everything was solid, and all I/O devices were functional.If you're interested in an Android tablet for fun or software development and have no need for one of the models with more storage, I highly recommend giving this a try. |

Cons: - Only 16GB store- No expandable storage capacity- No rear side camera- A bit of a pain to register the product (has multiple serial numbers); on their registration site, you need to select as EEE Pad, then Nexus 7. The serial is on the box (the sticker on the unit has already rubbed off after a week); the serial inside the unit is different and cannot be registered

I was considering b/w Galaxy Tab 2 and this Nexus 7, and after reading the reviews, I picked this unit over the Tab2 for slightly added functionality and speed. Lots of reviews gave praise to this unit for its speed and ergonomics, which is important for my main use of websurfing and web. I've installed a few games too and they run perfectly fine. The only down side it's only 16GB so you have to watch what you download and wanting to keep. Haven't tried the video or camera function yet.Excellent unit - I couldn't even tell that it was a refurb since mine had no scratches, perfect glass, and it just felt new. Used as a carputer. Great little tablet. Gorgeous 720p display. GPS. Charger can't keep up with battery drain if every features are turned on simultaneously. Tablet seem to randomly stop charging.
