Cons: - Terrible GUI, feels quite limited for space as it's only using the center of the screen with the rotating "cube".- It's already crashed once while just at main menu, the screen went pink and then the unit wouldn't turn back on. Had to unplug it and plug it back in.- Remote will take some "getting used to", it does feel quite clumsy, especially that giant plastic button in the middle.
Pros: - Looks like a Borg Cube.- Plex streaming looks great, make sure to increase the quality to "1080p 20mb" or "maximum" when on a wired LAN connection in Plex settings, it defaults to compressed 720p which looks terrible.- Remote has a full keyboard, can type quickly with this. |
- Bought this primarily to use for Plex. So far it works well and the quality of the stream is good, the remote can be frustrating at times.- Just an FYI, the power adapter for this seems to be identical to the one on my Asus N66U router, nice to see that, replacing it would be easy if needed.
