My i7 920 (D0)overclocks effortlesley to 4.2ghz on 1.38v. Runs pretty cool with a Hyper 212+. Rest of the system is GTX 460 SLI and 4GB ripjaws. |

-Runs relatively hot with HyperThreading enabled-Expensive
Pros: -FAST!!!!!!!!-Overclocks to (almost) effortlessly to 4 GHz. If you have one with D0 stepping it will do it using 1.25 volts!-Did i mention fast?-This is quite simply the best CPU I have ever owned Comment:
This CPU did and still does kick some serious butt. I will continue using mine (no need to upgrade to Sandy Bridge) until I come across an application it can't handle.With the way it's been performing for the past year I might be waiting a looooooooong time before that happens :DI am running with 2 x eVGA GTX 460's and 6 GB DDR3 tri-channel ram. Paired with 2 Western Digital 1TB Caviar Blacks in RAID 0 as well. |
Nothing to complain about. This CPU has not given me a BSOD even after being OC'ed to 3.49Ghz with a Cooler Master 212 Heatsink.
