This PSU is adequate if you're looking to build a cheap system. Mine lasted a little over 4 years(from September 2005 to Nov 2009) before it burned out, nearly catching fire. After about a month of use, it started having problems. When powered off, if I left it plugged into an outlet, (whether it was a surge protector, high quality power backup system, or just a regular 115V outlet) I would have to unplug the 24 pin connector from the motherboard, short out the green and black wires, then plug it back into the motherboard in order to successfully power on my system. It had gotten to the point where I just left the computer's case open all the time. While this PSU is cheap, you certainly get what you pay for. If you are building a new system, I can't recommend this one. You should really look into a high quality, modular supply from a reputable manufacturer.

Installed the power supply with no problem. I had installed a large V8 cooler into the case, and when I looked at it, I was concern about having to remove the motherboard again to install the power supply. It slid right in and matched up the cut out perfectly. it installed smoothly and it looked good installed. I liked the whole mechanical look of the power supply with a clear sided case. With the update in technology it would have been better to offer more SATA plugs in the harness. It has a good number of plugs, but need more of variety between 4 pin and SATA.

Less than 30 days power supply went out. Fried my hard drive. Not suppliers fault. Just a lousy product. Not having luck with this manufacturers products.

Very pretty. If you have more than 2 SATA devices order some adapters or a different PSU. Only 2 SATA plugs, P4 only, not P8, only one PCIe plug. I wound up upgading after 1 week to a 750-w PSU. This is fine for low end systems.

For anyone that is wondering this PSU DOES have a 20pin connecter and the +4pin connecter to make the 24pin connection on those motherboards. The thing is pretty loud but the fan can be controlled between 80% speed and 100% speed. It makes a cool blue glow in the case and looks very nice. OVERALL 5 stars

Worked great for about a year, then died completely. The glow in the dark cable sheathing also took up a lot of space in my Large ATX case, making it hard to fit stuff in and also didn't look end up looking very nice at all when looking into the case form the see through side.

Worked great for about a year, then died completely. The glow in the dark cable sheathing also took up a lot of space in my Micro-ATX case, making it hard to fit stuff in without jamming the fans.

This is a neat power supply that delivers what it says on the box and online specs. Good led blue lighting on the fans, and I like the adjustable fan dial. You can cut back on decibels by dialing it down when doing processor/video light tasks. Apevia could come up with a version that would provide more SATA connectors than the spartan 2 provided with this PS. However, SATA cable connectors are out there at $6.50 or so apiece. But that does not improve cable clutter... Anyways, congrats to Apevia product designers for conceiving it and to Tiger Direct for carrying this product.

looks cool, but it didnt work when I got it. Which sucks, cause now I have to return and get a new one. I also had to drill out the holes in my case to make this fit...You would think that would fit but I guess not.

Pros: Looks great in the case. Flexable cables, 2 quiet fans with speed control. Good price Cons: After 1 year 2 months to date! the psu burned up and took my hard drive with it.

This is a great Power Supply! Bought it about 6 months ago, and it's working like it's new, I dust it about once every month or so, just like I dust the rest of my computer. But I mean it works fine for me. The reason many of you may have issues is because you plug in the Power Supply to the outlet before hooking it up to your components. Obviously it will overload if it's not supplying power to anything. That's like blowing air into a balloon and not having exit points, it will burst.

I agree with most of you cause I bought this PSU, thought it was all cool with the lights and the cable but guess what a second after it broke down, had to get a different power supply.

Sweet,Sweet,Sweet!!! Let me say WOW too! It is too cool with my clear sided case. The green wire sheathing on the cables gives such a nice cool show. It adds some bling to my Aspire X-Plorer ATX Mid-Tower Case. As well as matching my Black Ford Explorer which puts a sweet smile on my face. The fan speed controller is really nice becuase when Im not on my computer, I turn it down. Super and Great any verb you can add! Oh Yhea the tech stuff is good too!! Thanks Steve!!!!

Busted out of the box. hooked it up turned it on and i got a jaunty wirrrr and silence. I'm sure it would look awesome in a case but i never even got to see the LED's kick on. If you're looking to buy a power supply, this might be the one, or it might last you all of two seconds and fry. try another supply to be safe.
