I have had this psu for more than a year now, in a gaming machine. I have never ever had any troubles with it so far even with operating a 8800 gts. The fan on the back is nice bring about when I leave the computer on overnight I can turn the fan speed down and barely hear it. none There are a lot of cords but if you know what you are carrying out they can be hidden effortlessly. For me it was easy due to the fact i have a complete tower case.

great power, the blue lighting effect is good with the rest of my case plus the black suits as effectively. the dual pci prepared was a really good addition for my crossfire setup. heavy and bulky. not a difficulty for most but I movemine about a lot. also only employing half the cables so it with combined size cuts airflow if employing fans as cooling. when it says beast on the box it wasnt joking. running crossfire with my water cooling and 4gig ram, dvd burner, and raid setup ƒ raptors and a 500g storage) and no flux in power so far lets hope it lasts and doesnt surge my board like the psu that came in the trinity case did.

The PSU handles anything excellent, it handles my technique very properly and has yet to die on me despite many energy surges. The fan speed handle on the back is really handy, but the PSU never gets hot even on its lowest setting. This PSU is LOUD! it is by FAR the loudest factor in my technique even on its absolute lowest setting. I opened up the PSU to see if I could replace some of the fans with a quieter answer but the fan wires are soldered, glued, and taped into the PSU. Very first a single I plugged into my system made a loud bang and died, creating me wait for my new computer system develop a couple of a lot more days. Fortunately sufficient nothing in my system was harmed and I was capable to RMA it effortlessly through newegg. Also, modular cabling would be extremely handy, i've got fairly a few extra bundles shoved into an empty drive bay.

Lots of power and it created my voltages stable on my mobo. I was running a 350, but bought this for my upcoming upgrade. Lots of cables. I assume I just about pulled my hair out with cable challenges. Then again with my case getting five fans it could have been that. This PSU is seriously nice. But, as for the DOAs you got to keep in mind stuff takes place. I mentaly ready my self if the PSU was DOA but it was not.

Incredibly fantastic energy supply. Actually nice how you can ajust the speed of the fan on the back and has a nice big button to turn the energy on and off to the MB. Seriously nice that the cords are all in mesh and contained. Power supply is fairly major. I ended up getting a different one of these for yet another pc i built for a friend. would propose

Comments: Dead. That says it all. I didn't even get to use it. I'm certainly staying away from Aspire. I must have know that I was paying as well tiny for a massive PSU 黨W). If it seems as well excellent to be correct, it in all probability is. Don't purchase this, get a much better additional costly PSU.

Excellent value, excellent performance! It will power something you can construct today... for the widespread consumer anyway. It has small hand screws for installation in the tower and it sits rather well in there. The wires had excellent lengths for all my components. The mesh wrapped around the wires is a nice appear also. The rubber bands which came with had been seriously cheep. As quickly as I attempted to take away one particular, two broke off. I personally like to use the rubber bands to retain the added wires out of the way. But no biggie.

Just built a Conroe 6600 put in a TEC CPU cooler VIGOR GAMING Monsoon II. With the OC of the Conroe by 39% and the bigger power draw for the TEC and a lot of intake and exhaust fans the 500 watt power supply I had as a spare is not cutting it. Having owned 3 680 watt APEVIA / Aspire units utilized for three OCed PentD 9xx running 24ǝ performing Seti with no a problem and going powerful I have added 2 additional for my systems use. None So far so fantastic it has a good solid construction and a heavy duty Aluminum case speed control and three fans make this an outstanding unit for my use.

Wow love it ... i really like the fan speed adjustment and every thing about it its reputable havent had a prob yet umm the cords are a little lengthy but if u tuck them in below your cd drives (if theres room) they dont take much room at all you can also location them on the other side of your case.

Overall an excellent cost for a PSU, specially if you nabbed this with a discount. Aesthetically pleasing and a lot of power for the gamer or overclocker. I gave it ư for the look and packaging. My PSU just wouldn't start off up at all, possibly due to poor manufacturing. Apevia/Aspire is recognized for its bad hardware, and acquiring a defective product from them didn't help my view of them. The manual wasn't quite valuable for troubleshooting (not that it's commonly required), and was definitely translated from a foreign language (done effectively but not modern English). These are most likely excellent PSU's, if you can get 1 that isn't defective. I personally won't take the adjust for a second one particular due to a negative 1st impression, and will order an additional PSU with a higher reputation. Manufacturer Response:Did you occur to basically plug the PSU into an outlet and flick the power switch? Quite a few buyers do this and beleive they have a defective PSU. If this is the situation please appear at this report which explains how to perform a functionality test on a PSU. Instead of the switch, you can susbstitute a paperclip as shown in the 2nd link. support@apevia.comExternal Link(s): PSU Functionality Test| Paperclip jumper|

The 3 fans and a fan speed handle is great, also the wires becoming covered and plenty of plugs to operate with is a plus. So far i haven't had it operating much yet so time will inform on how very good it is. Longer than a standard ATX.. If your case has a leading fan forget about this one particular. I nonetheless have to figure out how i am going to cover an 80mm hole in the prime of my situation. The energy provide makes up for that fan by having a forward facing 80mm and a downward facing 120mm which both exhaust, but its 7 inches in length and interferes with my best situation fan location. They must have put the dimensions in the specifications if its not a correct ATX type element.

None, but if it worked wonderful cost for such a big energy supply. The initial as soon as I received, had a poor fan, but it at least powered on my ASUS P5LD2 with an Intel 930 processor. The subsequent two would not even turn anything on the 12v buss. Aspire tech assistance tried to blame the mobo right after that configuration had worked on the energy provide with a undesirable fan. :S I replaced it with an OCZ OCZ600ADJSLI (newegg aspect # N82E16817711001) and every little thing worked perfectly. Pony up the dough and purchase a decent energy provide.

It has lots of cables... 1st one particular that I recieved was dead; RMA'd it for a replacement, which also turned out to be defective and unable to power up my technique. This time, I'm RMAing for a refund instead of a replacement. Even if I would (finally) obtain a working version of this PSU, I feel that I would be as well worried about the poor quality going into these components to incorporate 1 into my machine.

I now have been running 5 of these Energy Supplies 24ǝ with Seti and more than clocked Pent D 9xx and a Core2 Conroe 6600 2.44g over clocked to 3.6 and lately a Core2 Quad 6600 2.44g over clocked to three.fourThey have performed nicely the 12v rails stay steady at about 12.4 volts. No failures or burn outs.So contrary to some right here and their problems I have had none to date. For me they have performed well. Bad evaluations that have offered me a bit of concern at initial. I have read numerous outdoors evaluations and criticisms which at times gave me some concern but the actual usage and functions for me have been each typical and fine.

This is a very good searching PSU. The blue LED's in the back make a very nice tunnel impact with the fans and the cable sleeves are a nice asthetic touch. The very first one of these I purchased died inside ten minutes of turning it on. As far as I have identified, these power supplies have big problems with little surges or "backflows" of electricity. This Power provide is also BY FAR the loudest thing in my situation (as in comparison to my 8800gts and cpu fan) Even on low settings. Soon after utilizing this PSU for a month or two, it started to make a weird buzzing noise. When i opened up the outer case of the PSU I identified a piece of plastic attached onto the bottom fan that not only lowered airflow it cracked and was hitting the fan blades. Soon after removing the plastic it was not only significantly much more silent it ran cooler and pushed a lot more air about. All in All I have to say that I need to have gone for a various PSU With one single fan on the bottom that will retain things a little much more silent.

I have all the power I will need and worried I had too substantially in Everest where every thing was a tad over the exact number you may like, but apparently this is not very essential, or, at least it has not been important for me....Asus P4GPL-X, 7900GT, P4 SL7AA and a couple optical drives, floppy, Criticool relay...and about seven or so case fans. You may possibly wonder about wrist wrestling the cables. I have a quite massive case but I wonder how a short tower would be.

Very asthetically pleasing, three blue LED fans. Fan speed control makes it possible for you to opt for between sound level and cooling. Even on the highest fan setting, the fan was nonetheless very quiet. About 5 hours following installing the PSU, my laptop or computer crashed. Soon after turning back on the laptop or computer, it wouldnt boot and smoke began issuing from the back of the PSU. Apparently the graphics card had pulled as well substantially existing and fried some thing in the PSU. Though the PSU attempted to shut off prior to damadge occured, as soon as i turned it back on, it began to smoke.. Make positive you know how several watts your method is pulling ahead of acquiring your PSU

Lots of power for the price. Blue lights and 3 fans. Long cords reach tricky areas. Appears to run a tiny warmer than other power supplies, but it's nothing at all to be too concerned about. The rear adjustable fan use to make a ticking noise when turned up more than half way, but it appears to have stopped now. Maybe some thing was in the way of the fan blades? Functions fine for me. But I'm not running SLI however. So it's not under too heavy a load.
