-512 mb for low cost.-Seems properly made, and sturdy packaging.-Straightforward (physical) install.-Was capable to o/c (with ATI Autotune in the CCC) to 690륐 and card runs 55*C at load.-No fan, and a single of the couple of cards that can operate on a encouraged 300w power supply. Purchased this for an old computer running flight simulator. Though sims are much more cpu sensitive (needs lots of RAM), I wanted to take the graphics load off the motherboard...and this PowerColor did a outstanding job, provided it's price tag...BUT...1)Loaded the driver from the ATI internet site after deleting old drivers (Note: DELETE all your old drivers initial). The newest drivers don't appear to like OpenGL, and I got errors...so...deleted new drivers (with the enable of a cleaning system, and applied the disk that came with the card...operating fine now.two)Windows graphics "experience" dropped from a three to a 1...What?! Named PowerColor and they confirmed your score may drop, but not by that much! ATI doesn't know why either.three) Hooked up to my 1080p 32" by way of HDMI. (The notorious "no audio more than HDMI" can be fixed) but, the picture was nearly unwatchable, even following tweaking. Disagree with everybody here. This card CAN drive gaming graphics properly on older computer systems and games. Just don't count on miracles. It is not a great card, in my opinion, for HTPC use. Spend a little much more.

Smaller, (See other thoughts), uhh, doesn't will need juice from PSU, Fantastic for pre- 2008 games Not so great at OC'ing and newer games When I say tiny, that nonetheless suggests it will block the PCIxx slot next to it. I'm just comparing that to say, a 5970 or some other 10-11" inch card. This card could do Colin McRae: DiRT Ƒ) on low-med settings @ 1024 x 768 and the DiRT 2 demo on ultra-low/low at identical resolution. I liked it when I had it, soon after a even though it started functioning on my nerves. Had to *Deep breath* RMA. *Gulp* A piece of suggestions to gamers (like me): Man up. Open your wallet. You won't regret it.

Fanless? Doesn't perform in any HP company desktop Computer I place this in. I got 4 of these cards and when installed in the dx2000,dx2200,dx2400 etc HP Pc's, it will lockup the Computer following a few minutes. I have attempted everything. Shame. Manufacturer Response:So all four of the cards caused challenges in your HP machines? I'm thinking there might be some compatibility issue then. If you e-mail me I can try and support you find out what might be causing the difficulties. My e-mail is hugo@powercolor.com, thanks.-Hugo

runs cool, no additional energy tap required. worked with my amd760g in hybrid crossfirex. quite tiny box, good seeking heatsink, seems slightly bigger in person covers and rests on the pci slot beneath the slot it's in. hybrid crossfire worked not as fantastic as Ati/AMD make it appear. Firstly, a issue with just finding it perform, fiddle with the bios settings, no documentation. when utilized in crossfire, windows desktop manager crashes, as others have reported. card does not render quality graphics in 3d games. frame price is low on the lowest of settings and resolution. 3dmark 06 score - 2106 with an Athlon II x2 3Ghz and 2gb of ddr2 in hybrid crossfire with amd760. No awesome functionality, video playback was average. Save your cash, hybrid crossfire is a comprehensive waste of time. It's a scam to sell video cards IMO. Manufacturer Response:Hybrid Crossfire isn't advertised to give wonderful FPS or excellent 3D overall performance, in particular in newer games. It's there for the persons who select to use it, and it only presents a slight overall performance raise over a low-end GPU or an integrated graphics solution. If you want wonderful performance then look to the larger finish models. That would be my recommendation. If you have any queries or will need any further info, my e-mail hugo@powercolor.com. Thanks.-Hugo

Performs really good for its value and my demands. A low expense way to ugrade an older on-board graphics chip. Could use most up to date drivers. When there are certainly much more potent cards out there, for its specification and value the PowerColor AX3450 card does a wonderful job and has absolutely met my expectations.I purchased this card to upgrade my 5 year old pc from its on-board ATI X200 graphics chip. Installation was simple. I did have some conflicts utilizing the most up to date drivers from AMD, but the drivers provided in the box perform completely fine.Prior to this card my method with would play games such as Guild Wars and DDO with good functionality, but the graphics had to be set at about a quarter of their possible. Some games, such as Champions On the web, weren’t playable due to choppiness, even at its barest settings. Now, with the ATI HD3450, my system can manage all these games comfortably, operating at about ¾ of their graphics capabilities, at worst. No, it’s not full graphics, but for and older machine and an upgrade that cost only around ฮ I am incredibly pleased.

There was totally nothing at all wrong with this card. If you want the capabilities of this card, you could not locate them at a much better price tag point. I played Halo at its highest settings for about an hour, and the temp went up from the initial 40 to about 50, and then up to 53 when I utilized ATI's auto-tune to overclock the card some much more. Not negative for fanless (imho). It did drop a few frames playing a 1080p film (with a two.1GHz Ahtlon X2). I also purchased it to run in Hybrid Crossfire with my 780G motherboard. The troubles here had been most likely much more from my precise motherboard: the drivers only recognized that there were two cards to do Crossfire with, if the onboard card was the 1 plugged into and turned on in Bios, which meant the onboard card had to steal method memory to run. As nicely, the drivers for Crossfire weren't functioning fairly suitable, and produced Aero maintain dying, and I didn't want to put in the work to get them operating. In the end, the Crossfire setup didn't look any quicker than the 3450 by itself. I don't want to say the card is bad. It's absolutely worth it by itself, and is a enormous enhance more than an integrated graphics card, in particular for the value. But, I only bought it since I had hoped the Crossfire would be a lot more impressive, and like how it saved me over ุ from what I had expected to spend. So now I'm RMAing it and purchasing one particular for about ฤ a lot more than this, just mainly because I can afford it and know better now what these will be like. The card genuinely does have *no* challenges, whatsoever though. It's just a matter of if you a) only have the dollars for this 1, or b) don't really feel you require something any fancier.

Quiet. I was sick of hearing my super loud stock cooler and this is Substantially superior. Also, it installs like a stock cooler in that you don't have to take the motherboard out to set up it. You have to get rid of the fan in order to screw the leading element into the base (not a enormous deal). It's also significantly taller than a stock fan, and I barely got it to match in my case. Clearance was ok, but it was the non-removable metal bar on my case that goes suitable more than the processor area that got in my way a bit.

This card operates incredibly well for what it is. Game wise it will play newer titles at low settings. COD4-30+ at 1280x800 without having shadows/AA/Anistropic.Fallout3-20FPS at 1280x800 with every thing low and high textures. Not essential as you have V.A.T.S. Half life 30+FPS with anything on minus AA/Anistropic.I have a 2Ghz Celeron 440 so I may well be bottle necked in a few games. The card idles about 50C when overclocked to 700륚At load it's about 60C.Runs Win7 32 completely. Although my slow CPU makes it hang a bit. Can't be overclocked past 700륚 There are quicker cards, but if you will need a light gaming computer or media center, this card will get you there.

HD for ฮ. That plus Hybrid Crossfire equals a win in my book. Couldn't get Hybrid Crossfire to operate since apparently Windows doesn't help Crossfire or SLI in Windows 7. I fought with it for over six hours and that was the best I could get. As a standalone it performs pretty well.

Worked ideal out of the box, stays cool. To the one reviewer, I've in no way seen a PCIe video card that didn't cover the PCI slot beneath it on the motherboard, don't knock the card for present mother board design. Bought this card for my wife's pc given that she mainly web surfs and possibly a little internet video on the side. Card performs a little greater than I though it would for older games like Diablo II, I had no issues operating WoW on medium settings whilst I was constructing my new method. People today that are too cheap to acquire higher finish card giving this one particular a poor critique, it's a great cost for an typical card. No genuine con's I actually wish folks would quit shopping for low end cards and then bashing them in critiques for not performing like larger end models, you get what you spend for. If you want high end gaming video, then spend a small and obtain a higher end card. This card does specifically what it is advertised to do, and perhaps a little bit much more.

good card at a extremely affordable price, purchased it to run dual monitor and to take pressure off the motherboard and it operates wonderfully, games operate additional smoothly. fanless heatsink so it is silent and it is major for a substantial heat dissapation place. unfortunately the large heatsink is also a con, it cud have been .25cm thinner to not intrude on the pci slot to the side of it. i have heard other accusations that the hdmi port does not have audio, i cant confirm or deny this assumtion being as how i am only using the card to dual monitor off of the dvi and vga ports, in which situation it functions like a dream. have been using it for three months devoid of any problem what so ever.

I got this for my property theater Pc so I could actually get the 1080p resolution I required on my Television through HDMI with out working with any dvi->hdmi dongles. Loaded up in Windows 7 x64 just fine (installed the ATI driver package anyways for the manage panel) and it even began out working at the resolution I required it to. Pretty happy with all of this. Only down side is that the audio over HDMI is great except just about every time I commence up the Computer I have to unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in for the sound to get working once again. Its odd, like the pc isn't recognizing the device as a sound device fast enough before it boots. Unplugging and plugging it back in has fixed it each time. It may well also be an problem on my end. I've attempted 3 diverse HDMI cables and they all have equivalent (not exact) matters. When I have the time I'll attempt and look into diverse drivers or alternatively just continue to use an audio Y-Cable for audio so as to prevent the HDMI challenge completely. General I am incredibly pleased its just a discomfort in the rear to unplug and plug back in every time I start off the thing up. I guess if I could get the computers overheating issue solved then I wouldn't have to get off my rump nearly as considerably, ha!

Card functions as it really should in terms of connecting two monitors and or outputting to Tv by way of HDMI or VGA. I was hoping this might output to the Sewell Direct DVI-Component Adaptor for ATI cards, but the specs on that device appear to be accurate. (only works with specific cards). The ATI manage panel is a small counter intuitive. I considerably prefer the nVidia manage panel.

Low-cost, passive cooling, superior good quality for the price I necessary to eliminate the mounting bracket in order for it to fit into my slimline Pc. Would have been nice if it had come with a slimline bracket. My integrated video card seemed to be going out on me. I bought this as a replacement. I have an HP slimline Pc, so I required one thing low profile. This plugged into the box very easily sufficient immediately after I removed the mounting bracket. I also required to get rid of my dial-up modem in order to get the card to fit - not a large deal since I don't use it. So far, I'm pleased with the efficiency. Passive cooling is wonderful. Not certain if a card with a fan would have fit in the space.

Good card for every single day use or HTPC use. Plays Blu-Ray video flawlessly with built-in hardware H264 decoding. Stays at a Very cool 35 celcius at idle with no fan. Windows 7 Aero interface doesnt like this card too nicely. When in Media Center, if you have a video playing whilst browsing the menu, the background "Now Playing" video is really choppy. This can be fixed my disabling the additional visual effects. Best budget HTPC card with full audio support with the HDMI port. Blu-Ray audio works as properly with no concerns!
