Comment:
For a while I've been wanting a 4770 but have been holding off hoping for a price break. Though this one looks to be the most affordable I thought it looked a little cheap in pictures. In reality however, the card is made very well. The heatsink is substantial, the fan is super quiet and looks like it will do a good job. Surface mount components are well placed/not crooked on the board, of high quality with only a few electrolytic capacitors near the back of the card. The card is straight with no warping or flexing despite the heatsink being firmly attached.Performance-wise it's even better than I expected. All my games are now running max or very high with much better framerates than I got with my previous card with all settings to low. Given the surplus of performance in some of my newer games I can comfortably assume this card should last me a couple of years before I need to upgrade again. If only that's how it worked! The only thing that bothered me was the ommission of a six-pin power adapter. My PC is fairly new but I had it built at a local shop and to meet my budget I got a no frills PSU. While I know it's not mandatory it bothers me that I see gtx275's come with the cables even though it's unlikely someone buying that card would ever need them given that they probably have an enthusiast level PSU.Overall a great quality card for high performance gaming at an affordable price.
