Cons: - A bit pricey

Pros: - Works as intended- Support wide variety of format for writing
Comment:
I have been using this drive for a month and never had any issue whatsoever with reading and writing. The unit seems fast, reliable and relatively silent. It will be interesting to see if M-DISC will become mainstream.

I had an early LG Blu-Ray burner from many years ago and it would only copy at 1x and take about 75 minutes for a BluRay disc. This one was on sale and the price was low enough to justify upgrading. It will burn at the full speed of your Disc rated. It is a full retail box with software and the such, but I did not install any of that. I just use my Nero 8 (very outdated but still works well) and no problems. I personally use Verbatim BluRay discs and only make coasters when i do something stupid or there is not enough buffer on the hard drive.

Cons: - Havn't been able to find a single thing wrong with this, all my disc drives have been LG's and never had a single issue with anyone of them.

Pros: - One of the top if not best Blu Ray Burners on the market- Currently the Fastest Drive (That I've found)- Supports M-DISC- Finally is in line with a Price that feels worth it (Got it on Sale at the $70 price range)- LG Supports their drives and gives firmware updates for a number of years to come- LG Drives support a wide list of Blank Media
Comment:
Honestly my pros an cons listed a bunch of the goodies.LG has been a solid manufacture when it comes to disc drives, I've never gone wrong with them. Not to mention they've always came bundled with freebies such as a basic version of PowerDVD for DVD and Blu Ray playback so where can you go wrong? As I said in my Pros, LG supports their drives for years to come and I've had firmware updates from them for a number of years for each drive I've had.Honestly the only reason why I upgraded from my LG DVD burner drive I had before, was simply because it was still using the ribbon cable and my brand new computer I built was pure SATA ports and had to get a new one for that reason, other then that it still works like a charm solid as it always has been.Once I saw that Blu Ray burners have come down in price, and that this LG (which IMO is the best on the market) is also put on sale often for around the $75 mark you just can't go wrong. Also what I loved and didn't even know about until I purchased this drive is M-DISC support!. Its awesome to see that a writable DISC has been made to last many years to come for a extended long period storage solution (Read up on M-DISC to find out just how long they can maintain data before it dies), this simply put was Icing on the cake for me.

Cons: Doesn't make me dinner....

Pros: Reads Discs!Burns Discs!
Comment:
What can I say, its a blu-ray burner and it burns discs. I bought this cause i just upgraded motherboards and i had forgotten that IDE was a thing of the past hence my old DVD drive was useless. This let me install Windows. On a side note, i think this M-Disc thing is a gimmick and it will go out like Mini-Disc, Laser-disc, HD-DVD and Beta-Max; look for M-Disc in Hock-Shop near you in 3-5 years.

Cons: None yet

Pros: Good sale price, can finally use a bluray disc if someone brought one over I guess?
Comment:
So far the unit has worked well, took about 5 minutes to install. I haven't tried burning a disc yet, as I don't have any blanks, but anyways it seems to be running just fine.

Pros: Got this while it was on sale,So far so good install went great and tested out some B-Ray movies on it. Have yet to test the burn as i don't have B-Ray Disks.
Comment:
Great for the price that was paid. Was 20% off. Will update  later when i get some B-Ray disks.Thats why i'm only giving it 4 out of 5 at the moment but that may change when i get disks.

The Avengers 3D not working. Seem to have no firmware yet from LG. Screen goes black. All my other movies works (Lorax, Coraline, Despicable Me, etc...)

Cons: A bit loud when running a higher speeds

Pros: Nice price when on special.
Comment:
Bought it on special for $70. Since this is not an OEM version, it comes with Cyberlink Blue Ray player, even if it is a 'light' version, it still has the most common options as a player.
