I picked this box as a ROKU replacement. I could never get that box to do quite what I needed. Picked up the 847 NUC as a and couldn't be happier. Out of the box I installed 8GB of RAM an mSATA SSD and OpenELEC for an OS. I was up and running within 10 minutes including OS install.The Celeron NUC streams 1080p video over my network with no delay including Blu-ray rips. IPTV works quickly and looks quite good over my wired connection (80 Up /30 Down).The box has been running with ZERO issues and low temps for about 48Hours now. After reviewing my logs I believe I could have gotten away with 4GB of RAM and running OpenELEC from a USB Flash Drive (No joke). Which is good news considering that I am now thinking about adding one of the new Hanswell i3 NUC's to my living room so that I can take advantage of Steam In Home Streaming in addition to the sweet XBMC features. In closing. If you are looking for an inexpensive HTPC the 847 Celeron NUC will make you quite happy. Bear in mind if you want something more future-proofed (4K ready and light gaming) you should probably consider at least the i3 model. For me thought the Celeron NUC is a great success.
