Installed board with zero issues. Updated BIOS immediately, as always. Lots of internal connectors such as several USB, HD Audio, variable speed fan connectors (4-pin that also allows 3-pin). Perfect positioning of everything. I bought a power supply that people complained about not being of good length cables but, on this board, everything connected easily. This is my 3rd Intel board and they always fail the least over other major brands.

Lots of sata, usb, even firewire (which I was really looking for). Didn't want on board graphics, so this really was the perfect candidate!

Lots of onboard SATA ports. I bought this board for under $100.00 from your company and it was a great deal. I recently purchased a GT 240 video card, so the lack of onboard video wasn't a problem. The included drivers CD was outdated, but that was easy to fix with a visit to the intel site.

I had purchased 5 of these boards had to return 3 of them because they just quit booting. After 30 days they would not exchange. Intel said to get exchange from you. and people talk about the Government. If you can't take care of the customer I will not be a customer.

This board was great, for the first month. I got this board at the end of September, and it lasted until about 4 days ago. It just died, out of the blue. At first I thought I had fried it somehow, but after reading the review from Humbug, I realized it must have been a malfunction with the board in general. I too had problems in POST and the dying board. Other than that though, before it died it did pretty well and the features were pretty good as well.

First board tatally failed less than 2 months of not ever working properly. Intel replaced it under warranty. Still have intermittent problems that only occur during POST. All connected devices including processor work fine in another system. I'm giving up and will buy another board and chalk this one up to experience.

This motherboard has it all if you ask me. Unreal amount of SATA hookups. Performs like a champ. I highly recommend this product.

Fairly standard features, the CD included was obsolete, get yourself an RSS feed from Intel to stay current with updates and you'll be very please with this board.

Excellent features on this MB plus excellent price and delivery. I was upset that my old MB blew, but this makes up for it! Wow.

I purchased this Motherboard before any reviews were written. It seems to work fine, although the temps tend to be high. I think that over time it will need to be replaced because of the heat issue. I would look at something else if I were you.

I used this for my first build this summer. I have not had any problems with it. I was alarmed at how high the motherboard temperature readings were, but after consulting Intel I was assured that my temperatures (70C) were normal for this particular board.

Comment:
Intel multiple core processors report the Processor Thermal Margin (TMp) instead of the maximum chip case temperature Tc. The TMp counts down from the maximum, so it is essentially a negative number. But nobody told the Intel BIOS programmers. They treat TMp as a positive number like any absolute temperature. As a result, the processor fan is throttled in reverse. WHEN THE CHIP GETS HOTTER, THE FAN TURNS SLOWER. This is a recipe for thermal runaway. There is a Workaround if you have extreme load or high ambient temperature: Cut the throttle wire to the fan (#4 on the connector, the blue wire on Intel fans that come with the processors. It can be restored later with a butt splice if necessary). Then the fan runs at constant full speed of 2600 RPM instead of 850 at room temperature, giving TMp of 52c instead of 40c, as good as an expensive aftermarket cooler, many of which use this trick. This fan is deep inside the chassis, so it can barely be heard. Otherwise, this board excells.

Cons: not a gaming chipset

Pros: Runs excellent at default settings but runs well clocked and all,
Comment:
It's a very solid motherboard for the price. I got it primarily because I have a Xeon E3110 which is not officially supported by many boards, and this is one that does.

This Motherboard has been nothing but a pain in my you know what. I have had nothing but problems with it. I've sent it back to the manufacture and got another and have had the same problem again and again.

It's a very solid motherboard for the price. I got it primarily because I have a Xeon E3110 which is not officially supported by many boards, and this is one that does. Now that I have it I quite like it, my only complaint is that it ships with an UBER crappy BIOS which allows for no overclocking or tuning at all. Currently, other hardware/crappy directions on USB booting from intel are keeping me from updating, so I will edit when the true overclocking begins.Intel Xeon E3110, 6GB RAM h 667 MHz, BFG GeForce 7600GT OC, Fedora Linux 10 This review was modfied by poster i 01-28-09 06:36 PM This review was modfied by poster @ 01-28-09 06:08 PM
