Reasonably priced and incredibly compact. I place this in an affordable Gateway MX6030 laptop (WinXP Property) in order to connect my Blackberry 8300 as a tethered modem. Loaded the integrated Toshiba BT Stack, Configured Dial-up Networking -- Voilá! None so far. I don't thoughts the Blue LED even even though it is 2x brighter than the sun! Did what I necessary it to do for a reasonable price tag.

This is a very good, tiny Bluetooth adapter. It has excellent range (better than my WiFi) and is quite steady. If plugged into one particular of the USB ports on my motherboard, it promptly shuts down the computer and erases the CMOS. It is a bit annoying to have to reconfigure the BIOS if you stick in an adapter in the wrong port, but I normally leave it in an other port. Port performs for anything else. Motherboard is ASRock M3A770DE AM3.

It works on windows 7 just fine but that's not what I purchased it for. I bought it to use with my iMac that has Mac OS X leopard ten.five.eight and it just won't function, I thought it was the Mac that wasn't operating suitable so I tried it on a various Mac and it did the very same factor. So don't buy it if your going to use it on a mac!!! The ad say you can but you can't!!!

Greatest issue due to the fact aspirin! On my ASUS PEM-1015 netbook the onboard Bluetooth and Win7 Pro 32 bit OS don't play well with each other. My Logitech v470 laser mouse worked fine regardless of whatever BT stack I installed. On the other hand, my two Motorola more than-the-ear BT headsets (model H500 & H560) wouldn't connect at all. I tried just about every BT stack out there; Win7 stack, ASUS drivers, Broadcom wizard and various versions of BlueSoleil. Practically nothing worked. If you go to the Win7 device compatibility center internet site the Logitech mouse is there but only one particular over-the-ear BT headset; the Plantronics model 920. So, I solved the dilemma with this Cirago dongle. I copied the set up disc to a USB thumb drive, disabled the ASUS BT device in the BIOS and installed the Cirago dongle. All my BT devices connected and now work completely. The Toshiba BT stack that comes with this dongle did the trick. Also, the computer software menus and settings offer a lot of alternatives. None at all.

These factors are excellent. Over the past year or so, we've put 1 of these in each and every Pc in the property. Windows XP & 7 has an issue with them, at times devices can\'t connect, and the proper Toshiba stack is only marginally superior. Fortunately, I don't care much about Windows. Operates one hundred%, one hundred% of the time in Ubuntu Jaunty, Intrepid, and Karmic. More affordable than a information cable for you phone, if you telephone did not come with a single. Makes life easier.

-It's modest and hugely efficient, exactly what I was searching for in a Bluetooth dongle.-Range is adequate for use with in-area accessories. -Dropped it a couple instances and had a tough time discovering it. It's seriously smaller. I'm working with it to allow wireless printing between an Epson and an HP, it works flawlessly. It's smaller sufficient that it stays out of the way on the back of the laptop and is all but hidden on the printer. Once more, this is specifically what I wanted.

The dongle installed and was instantaneously recognized and the software that came with it worked right out of the box. I am pleased with it. The Bluetooth software is a bit tough to fully grasp. I don't actually use it considerably for the larger functionality like network sort of use. I am lazy and actually am to blame for this as I am not inclined to read the aid stuff considerably. I am the type of person that just figures things out as I go.

It works without any issues in both Windows and (Gentoo) Linux. Windows detected it automatically, and in Linux, I just compiled the bluetooth kernel drivers, installed bluez, and it worked as soon as I plugged it in. From there, I ran hcitool scan to find my bluetooth G.P.S.'s identification code, used rfcomm to connect to it, and gpsd and xgps found the (accurate) satellite signal. Simply because it is so smaller, it can be tough to get rid of from the universal serial bus port. Unfortunately, it has no grips on the sides, so there's practically nothing at all to hold on to as one removes it. I feel that the trend toward miniaturization (of some things -- not anything) is a bit impractical. If some thing is as well modest, it's more difficult to locate or remove from a computer system. Other than that, it operates quite properly.

Size, doesn't stick out a lot. I use it on my netbook for my bluetooth mouse. It has rounded edges so it doesn't snag on something when I'm pulling my netbook in and out of the case. None

It is extremely small. Fits snugly in the USB port. Appears to have excellent variety and works like a champ. That little blue light gets annoying. Would be nice if it have been toned down or you could turn it off. I actually don't want to place electrical tape on one thing that is going to be plugged into my laptop. Perhaps paint. This is the second 1 I've purchased. Each look to perform excellent. I by no means bothered installing the software. Windows Vistaǝ just installs drivers for me.

Very good device, works nicely with fairly substantially something, runs on a Toshiba stack.Of note, this is the v2.1 of the 3210, not the original 3210, which doesn't have bluetooth two.1. Important to bear in mind when downloading drivers from the cirago web page... None so far... Newegg, update the solution specs to reflect the suitable version, the original 3210 doesn't even appear the exact same...

It is compatible right out of the "packaging." Does not use lamed protocols or defectives ones. Not a broadly recognized manufacturer I was having difficulties finding Bluetooth to work in Windows 7. The built-in protocols was consistently taking over the controls and blocking audio more than Bluetooth. With this adapter, at least the Toshiba protocol is functioning.

Was recognized appropriate away by Windows 7 and I haven't had any difficulty pairing devices with it. I bought it to use with my stereo bluetooth headphones (which sound come across playing music on my HTC G1 telephone) but when they're connected with this dongle the sound quality isn't very fantastic, there's a continuous fairly audible ticking noise in the suitable channel, and all the highs bring about a horrible "crackle" sound. I've attempted it on three distinct Computer's with the same results so I'm quite particular it's the dongle that is the concern. If you want it for a data connection it really should work just fine, if you're wanting some thing for audio use I'd appear elsewhere.

Blue activity light matches my Antec 1200's case lights, worked 1st attempt on Windows 7 64 Bit (I saw the other posts about it doing otherwise), and I'm able to pair with my bluetooth headset with ease. No complaints from me about this guy! The blinking light can be annoying if you sleep in the similar room as the machine this is connected to. I was able to use energy management settings although to make my technique hibernate and there had been no further issues from there. So far, I really like this factor. I've Often wanted bluetooth capabilities on my Computer and this was a quick and painless route to go for me. :)

Smaller cheap Bluetooth. I like that it's tiny and cheap. :) Really hard to get out of USB port. I suggest putting it in a back port and just leaving it there. Tiny size can make it easy to drop. Win7 x64 will not discover it automatically. I have not had the time to reinstall the driver for it immediately after wiping my Computer. Win7 finds most hardware automatically, but not this device. I bought this for wireless transfers to and from my cellphone.

Modest. Drivers installed automatically on Windows XP MCE 2005. Stays connected with my Dell bluetooth keyboard and mouse, plus it connects very swift upon startup. So significantly far better then the bluetooth dongle that came with the set. None however. When I initially installed the dongle it recognized my dell bluetooth mouse and mouse, but it didn't operate. I had to use 0000 for the passkey for the mouse. Then I had to run solutions.msc, and go to bluetooth properties, and alter the logon to regional technique account and enabled interact with desktop.
