Cons: Less bang for your buck than a Phenom II

Pros: Performance, overclockability, price on sale
Comment:
Got this for a client, they're satisfied so far. Overclocks like a champ. Made all the difference in GTA4 compared to a dual core.

Cons: Core 2 and 3 report 35C all the time when the other 2 cores are between 25C and 45C.

Pros: Overclocks to 3.8GHz on water, under 45C under load.
Comment:
Benchmarks are equal or higher than some of the newer i7 Processors I have no real complaints about its performance and since I have upgraded from a AMD 3700+ 2.2GHz single core it is a massive performance gain and with 6gb of DDR2 and a EVGA GTX 260 I am able to play all of the latest games. When I bought this cpu around a year ago I was able to price match it to $249.79.

Cons: could be a little bit hot with the stock fan

Pros: It's fast and reliable!
Comment:
I overclocked this baby to 3.4Ghz with stock fan running at auto. I got 50 idle and 78 full load. Replaced the fan with cooler master cm 212 plus and artic cooling mx-3. Problems gone. Dropped the temperature to 36 idle and 50 full load.

Cons: Stock HS&FanNoisePush Pins ahhhhhhhhhhh

Pros: PerformancePriceO/C Ability
Comment:
This is a great CPU at a good price for the performance. If it was not for the utter crap of a HS&Fan it would get 5 stars. The stock fan is very loud and doesn't do a very good job of cooling, even at default settings it runs too hot and the mounting pins my god the awful push pins still. For a higher end CPU you really would think they would spend some extra effort and cost into providing quality cooling. Though just stick a 3rd party cooler on there like the Noctua NH-U12P SE2 and your good cool and quiet. Performance is great one of the best you can get keeping your socket 775 board, still overclocks very well. I can get 3.2ghz stable without voltage increase, much higher and volts needs to be pumped up a fair bit and generates a lot more heat, 3.6ghz is about the highest for me keeping things 24/7 and temps decent.

Cons: Awful fan

Pros: Great processor
Comment:
Why would someone make such a great product and package it with such a horrible noisy fan. I even bought an Antec case with sound-dampening material and I can still hear this piece of junk rattling. Reminds me of ASUS outfitting their motherboard with noisy chipset fans. Step it up Intel.

Cons: None thus far. Did not come with extra thermal paste, but wasn't really needed since it has thermal paste. I just wanted a freebee.

Pros: Great speed and processing power for budget.
Comment:
Bought for budget rig, works great with the Gigabyte mobo and all additional cards and gadgetry. Will buy again. Recommend for people looking for the extra power without the heavy price tag. Fan is silent as well.

Pros: Overclocks like a beastRuns cooler than expected
Comment:
Runs mint in EP45-UD3P with 4GB G.Skill PC2-8500. Easily overclocked to 4GHz at 1.3v, would go higher but I don't think I can push the FSB on the mobo further. Excellent CPU.

Comment:
I just picked this processor up a little while ago Because mine was severly out dated (Pentium D anyone?) So when i saw the sale price i couldn't resist getting it.I don't have very good cooling in my computer right now so its running at about 45C idle, Not bad but not good. But I did still manage to overclock it a little bit without the slightest temperature increase.I would definatley reccomend this Processor to anyone who has the money and needs a good performance boost.

Comment:
This is a very solid investment for anybody that uses programs that can utilize all 4 cores. This can be easily pushed up to 3.6GHz and I've personally got it to 3.8GHz on an eVGA 750i SLI FTW motherboard within the safe voltage range. The CPU typically runs at 30C idle and 50C (max) load using a hyper 212+ heatsink.

I had this CPU for 2 months now. First I had it on a old XFX 680i MO. Which do not allow me to overclock. Then, I brought Evga 790i ultra MO and it works super good. Was able to overclock to 4.0 stable. Planning to buy GTX 260 video card when the price is drop  down. At the price 240, this is best CPU for those do not want to upgrade to i7.

Comment:
This is an excellent processor and I would recommend it to anyone. It's fast, efficient and is the top of the line for IC2Q but if you intend on buying this, *IMMEDIATELY* purchase a decent heatsink because the stock one is garbage. Pure garbage.

Pros: FastLow Temps
Comment:
I upgraded from a E6700 to this and I could notice a big difference in my CPU temps. Although I had my E6700 OC to 3.2GHZ I won't even bother to OC this CPU until I have to. Right now I'm getting about 40 degrees on idle and about 47 degrees when I play COD. I had it overclocked to 4.0GHZ but my temps were a little to high at 50 degrees. Plus I like to keep my heat sink fan speed quiet and not running at 100% all the time. Defiantly worth the upgrade!

Cons: Great value, but still around $250, not cheep.

Pros: Low voltage, low temperature, quad core with huge cache, can be overclocked.
Comment:
I am glad I have stayed with socket 775, re-used my existing board and memory avoiding excessive spending. This processor is great. I have not tried to overclock it but, it is almost too fast for my applications (just kidding). I may try playing with O.C. later. My system is cooler and quieter (I have upgraded from E6600). With this processing power it may serve me for a long, long time. For best results maka sure your memory is operating at 1:1 ratio. You will love this chip.

I bought this CPU to replace my girlfriends CAD machine (I took the 9650, and bought this 9550 for her :D)I originally was going to overclock this CPU, however the girlfriends PC is sufficient for what she needs it for. (sims 3, photoshop, etc) and have read lots of system setups for clocking. This chip has a very high clock speed, most run v 3.4-3.8Ghz (a decent heatsink/fan) stable.

Pros: Great performance, decent bang for the buck, not a bad overclocker
Comment:
This chip offers a lot at $250. It's fast, performs well in all applications and overclocks decently. It does run a bit hotter than dual cores, but at $50 or so more than an E8400, this is a better deal IMO. Get this and overclock it if you have the right cooling -- you'll get yourself a very powerful system.

Cons: - Really heats up under IBT

Pros: - Easy 4ghz o/c, E0- Can match i7 when overclocked under most benchmarks and real world tests
Comment:
I matched this E0 with my EP45-UD3P board and could clock it to 4ghz with only 1.36v. I haven't adjusted anything else and will be looking for a slightly better speed in the near future.Temps on my ziggy are 43 degrees idle (super hot summer right now, during afternoon idles around 50) and typically can reach 65 degrees under normal load. IntelBurnTest pushes this into the mid late 70s on a hot day.I'm looking forward to the temps over winter when my place cools down.
