Pros: Too many to count

A great processor. Got it for $290 here on NCIX. I based my new build around this processor, and runs like a dream. Paired with 6 GB of DDR3 RAM, its pretty much the best thing ever. Very easy to overclock, you will need to get a better heat sink or cooling method in order to do so. Oh yea, hyper-threading is awesome.

Cons: Not really a weakness, but it overclocks better at 21x than 22x, so a 920 is just as good.

Pros: Excellent processor!Overclocks well
Comment:
Excellent processor overall. Probably the best value i7.I have mine OC'd to 4.2 Ghz at 1.275v and it works great.

Cons: -Runs hot, but the noctua is doing it's job.-Locked multiplier.

Pros: Easy installation, no pins on the cpu, very fast, sold my 920 D0 and got this one on sale+ a nhu12p se2 for 300 bucks, seems like an excellent deal to me. Awesome overclocker
Comment:
If you have a lot of budget, and if you're looking for the top of the line from intel (the x58 platform) you can't go wrong with this cpu, it overclocks like a champ too, with the right cooler. I paired this with 12gb ocz ddr3 ram and a sabertooth, no complaints so far, no bios flash needed.

I bougth this processor because of its cost to performance ratio and was not disapointed one bit. Would recommend this processor to anyone on a budget.

Cons: price?

Pros: Fast, quiet, cool
Comment:
I am very impressed with this processor, as it is very fast and I have yet to use all of its power when I'm gaming. Recommended for anyone who wants a good processor. It is also very good for overclocking, which can be easily overclocked to 3.5+ghz.

Cons: Nothing really

Pros: Fast as expected, overclocks great, stable
Comment:
Very good CPU for the price, once you overclock it pass 3.6Ghz, you can feel the thing kicking in when you render stuff. It really does save 2-3 days of rendering. In terms of how the binning goes, the last batch of 920s were better binned in general. My i7 930 can get up to 80C at 100% load with an overclock of 4.0Ghz on a Noctua U12-P SE2. It's probably my fans though. I plan on getting watercooling in the future, for now it will have to do.

Pros: REALLY FAST

Great processor, runs really well... good for gaming, good for any multi thread application! The only odd thing that happened, occured during installation, it fits well, but just didnt seem right, the latch wouldnt close easily... i guess you have to put some arm into it!

I grabbed this along with a Gigabyte X58 UDR3 and it has been working flawlessly since. Benchmarked with CPU-heavy games such as GTA IV and Crysis Warhead and it didn't even flinch. Definitely the best CPU to fit on a new gaming rig.

Pros: Excellent Overclocking PotentialFast initial Core SpeedComporable to products of higher value
Comment:
I had done initially quite a lot of research on a number of different websites to get an idea on which processors would perform the tasks I need most adequately. Comparing this product to the Extreme Edition Line i965 and such for the value and cost of this product I can't possibly justify shelling out the extra 500$+. This chip runs beautifully overclocked, and can handle the most extreme tasks, I bundled it with the Gigabyte X58-UDR3 (I know, I know..) I will likely upgrade to Asus soon but for the time being this is a wonderful processor and could not be happier with the performance and cost effectiveness it provides me with.

Cons: High power consumptionPrice (got to keep the stock holder happy)

Pros: Certainly faster than what I had (but there will be something else faster)
Comment:
New build system aside from the AMD Athlon 3800+and there’s just no comparison. Managed to overclocked the cpu up to 4.0GHz mark but temperature just way too high. Ran OCCTPT2.0.0a for stability and OCCTPT show up with some weird voltage (I think the 12v is way lower than it should—don’t remember). I got freaked out and set the cpu back to default 2.8GHz. Too bad I didn’t remember the voltage setting as I can’t get it to boot to Windows® with 4.0GHz again.

I've had the processor for a week now, and, coming from a Core 2 Duo E6300; I must say it extremely fast. Looking at Task Manager's Performance screen seeing 8 logical cores being used for video processing is a thing of beauty. What used to take 5-6 hours, now takes 30 minutes. I am pleased.

Cons: One of the hottest running Intel CPUs to date.Heat sink is just adequate at factory presets, but I purchased an aftermarket heatsink for overclocking and peace of mind

Pros: extremely fast, hardware support for virtualization, large onboard mem cache
Comment:
I decided to purchase the core i7 930 instead of the 950, at roughly $30 less. I couldn't justify spending the extra money for the same CPU running about 200Mhz faster - that's not something I would notice during average use. Overclockability is about the same for these i7's.The speed of this CPU is great, under windows 7 enterprise. I run multiple virtual machines for development, and occasionally have use for virtual PC to run xp mode. The difference is quite dramatic, coming from a core 2 duo e4300. Even without overclocking, this CPU is lightning fast for anything I throw at it.

I never overclocked a processor before, but with a good case, cooler, and motherboard, i got to 3.8Ghz without too much fiddling. i'm sure the big 4.0 is in my future so like i said this is a great bang for the buck. For those not sure how to overclock like a pro check out Linus on NCIX tech tips and he'll run you through it on his youtube video's no sweat. Thanks Linus

Cons: Stock fan

Pros: ReliableO/C potential
Comment:
I purchased this CPU for my latest computer build approx 3 months ago. It's been running well and has acceptable temps on stock cooling. I plan to O/C this when it gets a little older and others have reported that getting over 4GHZ is pretty easy to do so it will essentially have two lives.

Cons: -Nothing, this chip is awesome!

Pros: -Fast-Cheap-Overclockable-Socket 1366
Comment:
This processor is stellar! It has 4 cores and supports Hyperthreading so it is like 8 processors working together. I had Team Fortress 2 running (all at max settings) and then I minimized it and started playing Age of Empires III (all at max settings still) and it ran beautifully! No complaints what so ever! This was all with running it at its stock 2.8ghz speed because I have yet to overclock it but plan to do so in the future. I have heard you can overclock this baby to 4.0ghz STABLE with a minor upgrade to the Heatsink. I bought an aftermarket heatsink so that I can OC safely when I decide to do it, but until then, this this is rock solid and I'm loving it in my new Gaming build!
