Very rapidly, worth the further cash. Provides you the headroom you require to overclock that the 920 doesn't. NONE I am a beginner at overclocking and I have this factor running at 4.022 Mhz with a corsair H50 cooler and an Antec 900 two case. My temps idle are 32c. and 62c. beneath full load Prime95, could go additional but why. This cpu is so highly effective it barely even runs unless I'm stability testing with Prime or Intel burner. Don't let Persons speak you into the 920 because they say you can overclock it as considerably for alot much less price, their is a cause this expenses 跌 more and it shows! I am generally running on air cooling and appear at my temps! Pushing it I'm positive I could get to at least four.5 without having a water cool set up. Oh yes, and as steady as a brick wall. If you have the further coin get the 960 and watch this beast go and go and go and go!

Chip ran at stock speed on an Asus P6x58 with a D14 heat sink maxing in the 40-45c range loaded. Running it now at three.6 in Prime95 at 70c max after 2 hours and it was a tiny warm in right here right now. I had it operating it at four.two steady but was operating hotter than I want it to run on a typical basis so I backed it down, but the thottle is there when I require it down the road Value? I suppose you get what you spend for and if I hadn't had some added $ I would have gone the 920 route like most individuals Glad I didn't have to go the 920 route

Currently have a complete rig and will construct another Sabertooth rig for my wife and give her my I7950. For this price tag you can't beat this. The sandy bridge is muted with the integrated graphics temp. Choose cpus devoid of gpu on chip. 1366 w/ triple channel excellent for SLI. Used to be value but not now. Quicker than AM3 965 which I had for more than a year. My daughter has that. Combine this with the Sabertooth and Gskill 12 gb for significantly less than 赨 and you get a nice setup for about 躀 for core elements. Add a HAF case and nice PSU and you are golden. I use the V6GT for my cooler and play for hours on BFBC2 with a GTX 480. Zero heat concerns.

Incredible rediculous speed. This thing will rip your head off and spit down your throat! I have owned my personal pc small business for more than 10 years. I often as a tech guy and a builder have gone with AMD for myself. I am as of this moment a former AMD guy. I ventured out and bought this CPU primarily based on some of the evaluations right here and I am not one bit sorry. I have in no way observed functionality like this ever! If you are taking into consideration this proccessor, just do it. Whip out the gold card proper now and shell out the cash. You won't regret it. Cost? Get more than it! This CPU is amazingly fast at stock settings. Runs cooler than my old Q9550. Almost like an I7 Intense. Expensive Had a q9550 overclocked stable ʃ.eight ghz with a 3d Mark Vantage CPU score of 15,980. I7 960 with stock settings receives 3d Mark Vantage CPU score of 21,900!!! Runs completely on my ASUS P6X58D Premium Mobo!

Fast runs very nice practically nothing genuinely bad I can say about it. I had bottle neck concerns with my GTX 480 when I changed to the i7 I got more than 80 to 100 much more fps in my games See my other thoughts One factor as I am not a massive tech maybe I just don't know but this CPU says it's a 3.2 gig when my computer boots up in bios shows a 2.66???

Installed on an ASUS Rampage Intense Mobo. The ASUS utility overclocked to 3.8GHZ with no issues at all. After I ran Intel updates the chip hits four.0ghz. Not terrible at all. It stays cool OC'd utilizing Corsair H50. I wish I had 赨 much more dollars to throw at an unlocked chip. If you are pondering seriously about Over Clocking make positive to get an unlocked chip and start off with one thing three.6ghz+ On the other hand 3.2 to four. is not also shabby.

Rapidly processor, simple installation of CPU itself. Really hard to tell if heat sink is anchored occasionally, higher price tag compared to slightly slower versions. General I've had excellent luck with this processor, even though initially I did have a difficulty where the heat sink wasn't anchored to the motherboard adequately. It took a when to uncover this as it appeared anchored, although it wasn't. Reinstallation of the heat sink cured this.Hyper-threading is kind of odd at initially as it shows up to the OS as 8 logical CPU's.

I use this machine for expert applications and SolidWorks 2010 CAD. I replaced a machine with this processor an other new hardware and my productivity is increased by about 4-5X. No additional just sitting at the workstation waiting for the processor. The multi-threading means I can even run complete backups even though designing in CAD. No additional worries about overwhelming the machine. The processor ran correctly the initially time booting with no problems so far even with big assembly files. The cost but with the increased functionality I can't seriously complain.

I have often been an AMD guy, this is the quite initially intel processor I have ever owned, I upgraded from a Phenom II x4 940 ʃ.5Ghz. The overall performance distinction is astronomical, 3Dmark score went up almost 25% just by upgrading the processor, the functionality raise is consistant all across the board particularly with video encoding. I really cannot give this processor adequate praise, I was concerned about the cost but I got far more than what I paid for and I certainly could not do a lot superior than this. The installation was strange to me, but I am utilized to the pins getting on the processor not the motherboard lol! Intel just produced a consumer for life, seriously great efficiency from this specially with gaming in all the games I have tried hence far anywhere from a 25-35% functionality increase all across the board, CPUMark score close to doubled! Good processor, excellent item, fantastic efficiency.
