Cons: Integrated graphics processor struggles more than I thought it would, even with basic games.

Pros: Great price to performance ratio.
Comment:
This is the top CPU for a home theatre computer. It doesn't produce a lot of heat, and runs nicely for a HTPC. I didn't expect to play games with this CPU, but you might be able to if you overclock the CPU and the IGP.

Great CPU for a budget buildRuns super fast - just love it!Liked it so much ... bought a 2nd for a friend budget gaming system ... paired with a h55m-usb3, awesome machine!Have my overclocked to 3.65Ghz no problems!Did have it running at 4.2Ghz - but found 72c to be a bit hotter than I wanted (dont wanna burn it out too fast!)

Cons: Needs to be paired with a good set of memory modules, that's where it's slowing down.

Pros: Great for gamingOverclocks on stock heatsinkVery low temps with H50
Comment:
Had a quad-core before, "downgrading" to this CPU didn't feel like a downgrade at all since I mainly play games and they don't really have use for a quad-core CPU... It's very solid and can be driven far with good cooling.Memory tends to be bottlenecking the whole setup though, so you need to make sure to get a good pair of sticks and to overclock them well.

Cons: Almost useless stock cooler. No turbo boost, but for the price I can't really complain.

Pros: Excellent price/performance ratio, it can handle lots more than you'd expected. Intergrated graphic and memory controller. Hyper threading gives it additional 2 logic coresLow power consumption, great potential for OC.
Comment:
Got this in a bundle deal with a Gigabyte H55M-S2 for just $204 after everything. Is a huge performance jump for me, as I upgraded from a pentium D 950. I didn't bother with the stock cooler, but instead used a AC Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2. It is quiet, and the temperture stayed under 30C for normal useage, and around 50C under full load(in a 18C room). Thanks to the motherboard's OC software, I can tweak it in the OS. It has predefined "safe" rates to begin with, in this case it reached 3.52Ghz easily. With more fine tunning reach 4Ghz is just a matter of time. When you look at its price, don't be turned off by its "value" brand image, it can handle lots more than you'd expected. Paired with a decent graphic card, and some performance ram you get yourself an all-arounder.

Cons: None for the price.Stock cooler still sucks, and the intel push pin system is still a pain to install.

Pros: This is a fantastic value processor. Supports OSX
Comment:
Works great. Overclocks great like all intel processors. Best of all it works great as a processor for a hackintosh, OSX recognizes the integrated graphics.

I'm impressed with this budget CPU. Hooked up to a Corsair H50 CPU cooler i'm running at 4.4GHz with max temps at only 54°C. My i3-530 rig with an SSD is so much faster than my i5-750 with a caviar black. So, pair this CPU with an SSD and you have yourself a quick little machine. If i need to build another budget PC, i'll be getting the i3-530.

Cons: -None that I can see.

Pros: -Intel HD Graphics.-No pins to accidentally break.-Stock fan is quiet.-Pre-applied thermal interface material on the heatsink. I hate applying thermal paste. :)
Comment:
This processor is by far the easiest I've ever installed. No pins on the processor means there's nothing (well, less) to accidentally break. Just place the processor on the board the only way it fits, close the socket, and attach the heatsink. If you've never done it before, there is an excellent video on YouTube to show you how.

Cons: -Quad cores are better for applications like photoshop

Pros: -Fast for gaming-Hyperthreading-Low price-Overclockability
Comment:
I had a C2D cpu in my last build. This processor is a lot snappier at stock. Overclocked easily to 4.0Ghz, will go higher once I receive my TRUE bolts. If you're on a budget and need a gaming upgrade this is the processor to choose. The hyperthreading helps greatly in multi core applications.

Pros: super fast CPU and low heat output.Great overclocker eaven with the stock cooler.
Comment:
I must have user at least 50 of theses CPU. They are my most recomended CPU ever. They can do anything up to eaven high en Gaming machine. They can be overclocker to nearly 4.0 Ghz on the stock cooler and that a real achivement for intel.

Cons: weak stock cooler - nothing newone core is always 10C higher than the other

Pros: good value for the moneyonboard graphics
Comment:
This the best value CPU from Intel right now. Decent performance for $120. Works perfectly with the H55N-USB3 itx board. I noticed that core#1 is always 10C higher than core#0. It's not stuck or anything, probably normal behavior for the i3? I haven't tried overclocking yet but I'm pretty sure it will outperform my E8400 at the same frequency.

Cons: -Only 2 cores (Core i3, to be expected)-Crappy cooler

Pros: -Very affordable-Low TDP-Highly overclockable-Hyperthreading and Intel Virtualization Technology
Comment:
Bought this for a Mini-ITX build with the Gigabyte H55N-USB3 board and a couple GB of RAM. I am very pleased with the performance and these chips can overclock like mad (haven't tried yet). I'm running Windows Server 2008 R2 with Team Foundation Server 2010 installed for doing projects.Overall this processor is very fast and great for budget builds. In the Mini-ITX form-factor it can't be beat (AMD has offerings but the motherboards just aren't there).

Bought it for a friend's build. System is fast, responsive. Full support for Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD-MA makes it an ideal option for a low heat/power HTPC.

I must say I am very impressed with this cpu. This is the best value for your dollar I have seen in a while.I was shocked how easy it was to overclock 3.8 stable with prime and the temps were very good. for 100$ cpu it gets my vote as an afforadable cpu. I will definatly suggest to my clients who just do small tasks and are looking for energy efficientcy.Great Shipping NCIX thanks

The processor works well when the included cooling fan stays attached to the motherboard. Haveing a lot of trouble keeping those cheap plastic push pins that attach the cooling fan to the motherboard, connected.
