Low Watt cpusupports htLow-cost for a cpu thats 2nd gen. None so far. So far this cpu with 4gb of ddr3 ram on the ASRock H61M/U3S3 LGA 1155 can do what my sister desires it do to. Had to replace a Laptop, that could deal with a handful of gaming, films and much more. This chip is very good, even nicer with the ASRock immediate boot feature for a low finish Construct

For 114.99, this is the absolute best processor you can obtain. I purchased it for a budget gaming Computer, and it just grinds through games when paired with a potent video card. Outperforms my overclocked core2quad q6600 by rather a bit. If you're searching for a gaming processor on the affordable, this is it! none whatsoever. It would be good to be in a position to overclock it with no possessing to devote the added money for a K-series model. But - 3.1ghz is more than sufficient for 90% of your computing wants.

Intels latest generationefficient coolquicklow energycheap dual coremost fundamental sandy bridge CPU on the marketno Turbo Boost or overclocking. At this cost the efficiency is impressive. It's faster than a great many triple or quad cores. A superior fast dual core is all you will need for most apps.

Runs extremely cool with stock fan. Installation simplest however. Best for video rendering when paired with H67 motherboard. CPU fan sometimes stops as temp is less than 25C! Program makes no noise at all so I have to appear to see if it is on. :-) Make certain to use this chip with a motherboard set to only port on-chip video to VGA, HDMI, DVI.

Really power efficient. I can't speak for the speed of this yet. Can't overclock them, but I don't care about that for this application. It's currently overkill for my file server application. It would be nice if there was a sub-100$ i3, but that's the way it is. These new systems have amazingly low idle power. This program, with an MSI H67 board, a tiny SSD and a fairly old and inefficient Seasonic PSU uses 21W of AC power. Compare that to my Atom 330 box with an Intel D945GCLF2 board, a Hitachi laptop drive and a PicoPSU, which makes use of 25W. Of program the i3 peaks out at around 60W when loaded, though the Atom barely makes use of additional power, but for a machine that spends most of its time idling, it's fairly astounding you can get a program with this much oomph if required, even though in fact possessing lower idle power. The distinction shows up in acquire value, even though.

Price, Speed None I have to say I am incredibly impressed. My I7-860 hits 7.5 in windows and that is OC'd to three.5GHzthis point hits 7.1 stock. For much less than half the value of what I paid for the 860 I would acquire this once again if necessary. Also surprised the graphics were as great as they had been. They came close to my ATI 3870.All in All, incredibly impressed

I construct this basic Pc for my girlfriend for genuinely standard usage. I wasn't expecting this sort of functionality. It's quicker than my Q6600 @ 3.2GHz. Build-in HD2000 deal with 1080P H.264 without dilemma. Low temperature. Not HD3000. No Turbo Increase. for 贝, what else do u want?

I used this at work and when we upgraded to intel i7 3770k we got reduced compile time from 150s to 40s. Please do yourself a favor and by a quad core with 8 threads. But for ppl at home, its enough for simple stuff.

Cheapest Sandy Bridge chip you can discover. Despite the fact that it is not a quad core, it's quick sufficient for the budget gaming rig that I built for occasional gaming. Also it's good adequate for other "general usage". It has HT so you'll see four CPUs in task manager. No Turbo Boost. Not a candidate for overclocking. You can discover combos (NE has one particular as well, finally!) for a small additional than 300 bucks. If you want to develop a price range rig that has a LGA 1555 chip (sandy bridge), this is the chip to get. Just get a H67 mobo ... these with two RAM slots usually runs for less than 100 bucks. If you don't care about USB 3. and SATA 6.0Gbps ... get a H61 mobo ... those are like 60 to 70 bucks. Put some RAM and a disk drive and you get a budget sandy bridge rig! Integrated graphics (Intel HD 2000, included in CPU) is not bad, but I purchased a video card (GT 240), since that was on sale (ุ w/ discount & rebate).

For the dollars... very easily the greatest I've owned unless you count the AMD Athlon XP. Really highly effective in comparison to the Core 2's. Was extremely impressed by the on-chip graphics (as far as that can go). Check benchmarks on the world wide web to see a efficiency range and then determine to purchase it. Unless overclocking it on a B3 I don't see why you would require additional cooling. I couldn't justify a complaint to be truthful. For the price tag, good luck on obtaining a far better dual core as of 7 Apr 2011 in any socket.

Price tag is correct. New technologies, runs really stable and cool. No overclocking but I was not planning on undertaking that anyway :-) Runs Wonderful in AsRock H67M board. Feels a bit more rapidly in games than Athlon II x4 640 Propus, runs cooler than it for positive. For average user, this is all you want:-)

Cons: dual core cpu but it works for FPS online. Haven't tested it for later games like BF3 so don't really know if more cores will make that much of a difference

Pros: cool running with Xigametek cpu tower cooler, 35C idle to less than 50C under load while playing online FPS, plays Combat Arms without any problem given low TDP
Comment:
Still would buy given the price difference for a i5 or i7 if you are on a budget. Probably can buy an i5 when the price goes down and have to 2 cpu's for the price of one at its high point. If you experienced high cpu heat problems, the i3 is great for its low TDP...install a 3rd party cpu cooler....water cooling is not necessary for my use.
