Ivy Bridge will be out soon and the 6 core version is on its way too... i dont feel they will trump the overclocking this 1 has, but they will be more rapidly and consume less resources. This issue appears super rapidly so far. I've only had it a day. No problems with it. I'm running it at stock speeds, planning to oc quickly when i get a bigger psu. Stock fan and heatsink look terrible imo. But i didn't use them. My Q8300 fan and heatsink looked like it would preform better.
