I can always trust Intel. The always have a quality processor, it's always worth the extra money, rather than getting and AMD Brand. The stock fan was decent too and rather quiet. |

Cons: It's really quite hard to get excited about the Haswell refresh.

Bought this for my wife's computer to pair with an Asus Sabertooth Z97 motherboard. Specifically bought this locked multiplier CPU to prevent overclocking on a computer who's primary purpose is running accounting software. |
I upgraded from an old 1366 board + i7 920 combo and I am very happy. I had not upgraded in quite a long time and I was having major issues with my Socket 1366 board so the simplicity of this new build I just put together has been very welcomed. I'm much busier than I was 5 years ago so I opted for the no OC version of the CPU. It was also significantly cheaper and I am happy with this, overall. There is a bit of sting when I see people getting full +1GHz OC's with these but alas, I am getting stellar performance regardless.
