Cons: Default EQ has no highs

Pros: Excellent wireless connectivityWireless won't disrupt 2.4 GHz networkingGood soundDual mic enables noise cancellationLots of bassComfortableExcellent volume controlSolid, well-built
Comment:
This is a very comfortable wireless headset with good sound and excellent wireless connectivity. The wireless function is flawless. The headset and the wireless transceiver paired up almost instantly and come up quickly every time. It does not affect 2.4 GHz wireless networking at all, I could not disrupt any heavy wireless transfers. It has great wireless range - it will work across even large rooms and through a wall it operated out to at least 25 feet. The sound is good - it's obvious that those large 50 mm drivers can produce a lot of bass. Unfortunately I found that the highs were quite muffled and had to be added using the EQ in the software. Perhaps it's personal preference, I prefer "bright" speakers and headphones. It uses a dual microphone which allows for active noise cancellation. It does isolate outside noise fairly well. The microphone works well.It feels solid and well-built. The choice of materials for the earcups, earpads and headband make it very comfortable - it does not overheat or press too hard. The volume control is especially impressive - it's a large knurled metal roller on the bottom of the left earcup. It's very easy to adjust the volume on the headset, simply reach up and adjust the roller. Due to its material and unique pattern, it's very easy to locate with a fingertip and its anti-slip surface helps.Though the EQ software only works in Windows, this headset works perfectly in Linux as well. It's recognized easily and functions perfectly, both the earphones and the microphones. The volume control correctly alters the software volume in Linux. The good design that went into the wireless connectivity, construction and comfort of this headset make it an easy recommendation.

Cons: dead after 4 days. wireless dongle failed.

Pros: High quality feelSound Quality was very goodmic works better than I expected
Comment:
over all I was happy with my purchase. It does look like I got a bad set though, as they died after 4 days of light use. contacted both NCIX and Corsair waiting for feedback. Giving 3 stars because of failure but if I they had not failed I would have given them a 5.

Cons: -LED doesn’t match yellow accents

Pros: -Wireless feature is very useful, especially when watching movies or tv from your pc-Sound signature is great for gaming-Built quite well and will last long-Ears never overheat with the microfibre ear pads-Great price
Comment:
The Corsair H2100 wireless gaming headset is a genuinely pleasurable product to use. Everything important seems well thought out and it downright just works. There are a lot of things done right with this headset and very little done wrong. BUILD+STYLINGThe build of this headset is pretty darn solid. The body is built out of all textured plastic while the headband has a soft cushion made out of a pleather. The ear pads are also made out of microfibre which won’t crack in a few years and the firm foam will last a long time (on top of all that they are easily replaced). It is not insanely overbuilt, so I wouldn’t feel comfortable drop ping them off a building but if you drop  them on the floor or throw them in a backpack they should survive. This headset really seems to be made to last long which is refreshing for someone who has had headsets fall apart after 1 week. When it comes to the styling of the corsair H2100 I feel that it is very hit or miss. I find the utilitarian style quite nice as they don’t draw too much attention or give you a headache just from looking at them. My biggest annoyance with the styling is that the yellow accents hardly match anything and aren’t removable. I would have liked to see a few options for accents or to make them a neutral colour like white or silver. Also the fact that the LED is blue and doesn’t even match the yellow accents is a bit disappointing, especially considering all the other corsair stuff is RGB. I’m not a huge fan of the corsair gaming logo, either.SOUNDWhen it comes to sound quality I can say that these are reasonably good for a headset, but don’t expect these to compete with a $500 pair of sennheisers. I found that the sound signature was not overly bassy with good treble and ok midrange response. The soundstage on these is also pretty large, which gives an advantage in competitive games like cs:go where positional audio matters. I am not a fan of the dolby digital surround feature on the headset as it already has a great soundstage and I found the 7.1 surround feature made the audio more muddy and echoey. This headset is pretty decent for listening to bass heavy music, but less than optimal for everything else (on default EQ settings). The microphone on this headset is another story. The only word I can think of to describe  the microphone quality is adequate. While it’s fine for gaming and Skype calls I would not use this at all for stuff like professional video production. The mic is good but won’t replace a studio mic any time soon. PERFORMANCEThe battery life on this headset was one of the biggest surprises for me. I got around 9-10 hours of use from each charge and only charged the headset 4 times in 3 weeks of moderate usage, which is pretty crazy. Not once did the headset die out on me unexpectedly and I was even able to charge it while using it. The wireless performance is also great as long as you aren’t going through a bunch walls or anything. I found that I could get around 10-15 meters away before I lost my signal and experienced no noticeable lag in the output of audio. I was able to use the headset to listen to music while doing chores around the house and really enjoyed still being able to hear a game when I got up to grab a snack etc.CONCLUSIONAt the end of the day the corsair H2100 is a good wireless headset that also won’t break the bank. The sound quality is good, the mic is ok and the wireless feature is really solid and useful. This headset is also really durable and comfortable so it should last a long time. This headset is very feature rich without sacrificing anything and remaining at a reasonable price point, All in all, the H2100 is a really solid product that I would recommend.
