great item none yet another issue you might have to do is switch the wire positions on a 3 pin fan for it to operate, considering that it was desined for a four pin conector. all you have to do is see which is the power wires and pull the pins out and reinsert them in there suitable positions, you do this to the fan not this cable its esy i do this all the time

This cable is excellent for what you need to use it for. There are no flaws and it operates fantastic. It is 13 inches extended, so you will have enough cable length in my opinion for what you need to use it for. It is also sleeved with Black Techflex cable sleeving. You could also obtain far more of these cables and connect them collectively, so you can connect up to five PWM fans (such as the GELID fans I posted in other thoughts that I use). This cable is great, there are no cons. I use this cable with these fans by GELID. This nicely sleeved cable is for 4 wire PWM fans and performs specifically as advertised, the tach wire only goes to one particular fan which is how it really should be so the motherboard isn't trying to read the speeds of two fans.The wire that controls fan speed is intact, goes to each fans and controls each fans.Ahead of you guys post poor reviews you need to read the manufactures web page and learn how factors operate... sheesh. As the other reviewer has stated, it doesn't just split the PWM connection into two 4 pin connectors, it splits it into A single four pin connecter even though the other is only 3 pins!Extremely annoying as this makes the cable somewhat....useless simply because you need four pins to truly control the speed of other fans. Great good quality, strong None I know of Don't know how it operates in a setup it is meant for, but I purchased it to replace a 4 wireǚpin CPU fan cable from a CPU fan I had broken a wire from its metal connecter inside the principal plastic connecter. It was the fastest/easiest/best resolution for me ;)

A couple of reviewers mentioned that this is not a true pwm splitter because one particular of the connectors is missing one of the pins. It is missing the 3rd pin. The initial 2 pins are for power and ground. The third pin is for rpm readings. The 4th pin (present in each leads) is utilised for PWM (speed control).
