Windows identifies it when plugged in (as a hub). Does nothing at all else. Have tried it on an XP machine with an HP Designjet, and on a Windows 7 machine with HP Deskjets 5900 & 1200 (both perform fine plugged in devoid of the extender), and the printers have under no circumstances been recognized by the computers. Also tried just plugging a thumb drive into it & no luck. Prepared to throw it away at this point. Have had to use a lot more costly solutions for shoppers due to the cord not working. |

Nicely created however economical. Operates as advertised. "Fixes" one of USB's most irritating flaws ... Cable length restrictions! None discovered. I have verified operation of these cables with several USB devices (printer, scanner, camera, and GPS) using up to three "daisey-chained" cables. No issues encountered and with no speed sacrificed.A great obtain and a fantastic tool. |

Inexpensive. Perform wonderful.These are active repeater which means you can hyperlink them collectively to get longer distances. none Purchased three. Have a docking station/USB hub in one, mouse in an additional, and wireless receiver on third. No difficulties. |

Fantastic value, good colour, fantastic length, can daisy chain, know it works properly. none I daisy chained two of these together and then added a three.5ft usb to usb mini cable into my Canon Rebel XTi for remote shooting w/ the EOS Utility on Windows Vista Residence... functions fine! I'm fairly delighted. First I verified it worked with the common USB cable, then powered off the camera, added the 16ft vantec active extension cable, turned camera back on and tested with the EOS Utility... did that once more with 2x 16ft vantec active extension cables. I'm seeking forward to shooting remotely from the Pc and also shooting portraits with the photos going directly to the laptop for viewing. The cables also appear nice considering that they are all black -- a excellent acquire! |

Operates wonderful - I daisy-chained two of these collectively and place an un-powered USB hub at the finish at it nonetheless functions magnificent. I'm operating a keyboard, mouse, USB DMX controller and a thumb drive with no problems through the hub and 2 of these active repeater cables. None. |

Worked perfectly. Specifically what I was hunting for... None I needed to spot a two webcams around 30' from a Pc. I searched for answer and even found and bought the IOGear GUIP201, which was a useless device and I in the end returned. I found a couple of extremely costly one hundred' cables, which despite the fact that would have worked, have been a lot longer than I necessary. This item worked perfectly, gave me flexibility to pick a length in 16' increments (you can connect up to 5 together; I have tested four), and did it all cheaply! |

Have it operating a connection of about 25 ft to an 8 port USB hub with two portable tricky drives, camera, printer, and Ipod. No troubles at all when accessing any of the devices. none These are incredibly handy. I'm going to get another one! |

My Pc is as well far from a couple of USB devices in the living room, so this was a significantly superior than obtaining to continually move the devices back and forth.No issue moving information at high speed, it is really "plug&play". It could be tripped more than if I don't watch where I'm walking when it's connected. It's very good they can be combined, 1 wasn't long adequate but two joined to every single other works just as effectively. |

Does exactly what is says. Even better, I've got it running from 1 space, to an additional, from a laptop, to a USB to Serial adapter, into a plotter, and it functions perfectly.Just what I required! Now I've got to figure out how to hang it, run it, whatever so I don't trip. :-P But if I would trip, becoming a USB cable, it would just unplug and not knock every thing over.Newegg, quick delivery and great products. |

Functions as advertised. Working with with a lighting technique that is controlled by way of a USB based controller that was just out of reach of a typical USB cable. No noticeable latency. None. Shipping was nearly as much as the item. |

Long USB CableUncomplicated Set Up None It operates specifically as it says. I have this plugged into my USB port on the back of my computer operating across the room, connecting to a 10 ft. USB cable that connects to my Dell monitor with a built in USB hub. I have my bluetooth dongle and iPhone connected to the monitor's hub. All functions properly and I get substantially greater response from my bluetooth mouse and keyboard. It was properly worth the income! |

Cable is built well and sems to be working extremely nicely. None so far Cable did not cost a lot compared to other people like it. I am making use of it to extend a USB cable to get a wireless keyboard / mouse receiver closer to exactly where I set. Total cable length like extensions immediately after repeater, 30 feet. |

Lengthy; very good cable thickness; solid connectors Significant connector for tiny chip makes it complicated to route in cable hiding channels. It functions. Runs along the back wall of my garage from an old DELL tower to the USB hub in the monitor, into which the keyboard and mouse are plugged into. Had to play some to get it into the channel I have to hide the wires, but minor setback. |

This cable appears well built and it functions as advertised. Possibly the female end of the cable where you plug in your device could have been built a ittle much more sturdy. The plastic on this piece feels a little low cost, but I am possibly just nit-picking. Good Cable overall. Active cable permits you to get more cable length without losing signal quality. |

Works good; I can use on my web cam. I just leave the cable plugged in the back of my PC. So something that requirements it can use it. Works good even on my external difficult drives. none Great if you don't have enough USB ports. |
Functions as expected. Plug it in and it functions! I am employing this to make my own surveillance method using USB webcams. So far it is working like a champ! I am arranging on hooking up five of these cables in-line for a extended run that I have. I am a perfectionist. If these things weren't fantastic I would not be reviewing them. Cheers! I can assume of none.
